Luke stared after his brother as he left the room, and when his brain finally caught up with what had happened, he scoffed and got up from his bed, walking over to his door and slamming it shut, just for the satisfaction of hearing the door slam shut. Damn Jason. There was nothing actually out there that was going to hurt them. Obviously they hadn’t run into anyone or seen anything so…why was he getting so worked up about this?

Luke rubbed at his face and paced around his room for a few minutes until he finally grew tired of it and left the room. He didn’t bother to let anyone know that he was going out, it wouldn’t really have mattered anyway. The one person who always liked to know he was pissed with so…there was really no point.

He took a new route tonight, and when he was a few blocks from home, despite his brave words to his brother, he changed into Lisse, feeling safer in this form, and honestly…wanting to cool his head by jumping off some buildings.

It was fun.

This whole…thing was just that. It was fun. Something interesting, something…something new.

And he liked it that way. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Jason hounding him to train, to do sports to just do things that he really didn’t enjoy...this whole magic thing would have been the best part of this damn city.

Unfortunately, it had all of the downsides associated with it so…it wasn’t as good as it could have been. But still. He could enjoy it without his brother. Just because they were twins didn’t mean they were joined at the hip! They could have their own lives and just…

A small noise and the feeling of something made him turn, and then look down at a small, rather fluffy cat who was chirping a hello.

…Okay. Put talking cats on the list of things that he wouldn’t have expected but…must just be a part of his new life.

It was saying more things than he was taking in, still so overwhelmed by the very fact that it was a creature which existed...but it took his ring for a few minutes, still jabbering away about who knows what, and finally, when he gave it back he said something about it being better that he could do more with it but…

“Yeah, okay, thank you. I appreciate it and all of your help, but I should be going now!”

Lisse felt a little guilty about cutting the cat off, and the sad eyes it gave him didn’t help that, but…he couldn’t handle things right now. He wanted to have fun. Wanted to just…let loose and…not be around people who knew more…and thought they knew more than he did.

With a nod at the cat, he broke into a run and jumped onto the nearest building, hoping that the small creature couldn’t keep up with him…it had short little legs so…he didn’t think that it could.

Now, hopefully he could just spend the rest of his evening in peace.
