Hobbies:
Surfing - Surfing and swimming are a beloved pastime, and even just being on the beach and listening to the sound of the waves gives him a level of peace he finds nowhere else on Earth. He loves to stay connected to the water however he can, so it’s natural that he gravitates toward the beach. The amount of pollutant in it he finds absolutely deplorable, but he makes do since he doesn’t have any other feasible options at the moment.
Music - It was a hobby that followed him from his homeworld, listening to and creating music of his own. He’s more of a hobbyist, and has dabbled in all manner of instruments back home. He’s interested in the various options now available to him, but more than anything, he’s fascinated by DJing and is looking into making his own style of music that way. He makes it a point to always carry his favorite headphones wherever he goes.
Ink - A cultural love that he carries with him with great pride, given the ink he has on his own body. He believes it to be more meaningful back on his homeworld due to the process of getting one, but he’s found a level of appreciation for tattoos and, to his surprise, calligraphy on Earth. He enjoys creating and designing his own little pieces, the practice being meditative and nostalgic, as it reminds him of home more than anything else.
Virtues:
Curious - He is the sort to dive deep when something interests him. Usually it’s a historical topic but it could be virtually anything, he’ll read and research until he feels he has a basic understanding of whatever it is. He rarely ever gets this curious about a single person, but if he does, he does understand the concept of privacy and tries not to overdo it with the questions. He enjoys learning and doesn’t mind taking the time to do it properly.
Easygoing - He is a really easy going guy, always happy to go with the flow rather than rock the boat one way or the other. He’s the type that is sincerely happy and content regardless of what the plans are or how they’re adjusted. That’s not to say that he can’t make decisions, but if people would rather do something else than what he brings to the table he’s perfectly fine with that, too! As long as everyone is alright, then so is he.
Warm - He is a very friendly, and perhaps surprisingly affectionate person. He has a way of being very warm and welcoming to people, though he’s not overbearing about it. If he senses that they would rather have some space, he respects that and simply lets them know that he’s there for them, should they ever need him. He holds onto the smallest things out of sentiment, and is an open book to just about anyone and everyone.
Flaws:
Careless - He has lost a lot, friends as well as things, due to his carelessness. In particular, he has the unfortunate habit of blurting things out if he feels it will help a situation, even if that thing was meant to be a secret. He’s forgotten to lock his doors and windows, misplaced a number of important things, confused dates, etc. Although it’s never out of malice, it happens often enough that people tend to stop trusting him with things.
Nonchalant - He’s incredibly scared of losing people in his life, so he makes it a point to keep everyone at arms-length, no matter what. If he doesn’t get attached, if something were to happen to them or to him then it won’t be a big deal for anyone involved. It’s an armor he’s convinced himself that he needs to have so he doesn’t ever have to face any kind of loss ever again, even if it means all of his relationships are just surface-deep.
Unconcerned - He has given up, in many ways, and has come to a level of unconcerned-ness about his life. Suffering through so much loss has made him callous to the idea of finding hope. Though he isn’t closed off to the idea, he doesn’t go out of his way to move forward in any real kind of way. He’s content to just float around and enjoy himself when he can, but nothing really gives him a sense of happiness anymore. He just feels…empty.

Sailor Scout Attack: Current of Will!
Haik speaks the name of his attack and makes a sharp gesture with his hand, mimicking the direction of the current he wants his attack to follow (toward/away from him or to the left/right of him). Those standing within 15 feet directly ahead of him will feel themselves being suddenly pulled in the direction his hand mimicked for 15 seconds. It will feel as though they’ve been taken up into a strong current, and they will feel the sensation of being cold and having some difficulty in breathing for the duration of the attack. They are free to move and attack from within the current, though it might be difficult. It’s possible to be lifted out of the current, and one could actually move out of it if they happen to be near the edge. He can use this 3 times per battle.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Current of Change!
Haik speaks the name of his attack and makes a sharp gesture with his hand, mimicking the direction of the current he wants his attack to follow (toward/away from him or to the left/right of him). Those standing within 20 feet directly ahead of him will feel themselves being suddenly pulled in the direction his hand mimicked for 20 seconds. It will feel as though they’ve been taken up into a very strong current, and they will feel the sensation of being very cold and having moderate difficulty in breathing for the duration of the attack. They are free to move and attack from within the current, though it will be very difficult. It’s possible to be lifted out of the current, and one could actually move out of it if they happen to be near the edge. He can change the direction of the current 2 times during each attack (once every 5 seconds). He can use this 2 times per battle.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Current of Force!
Haik speaks the name of his attack and makes a sweeping gesture with his arms, mimicking a giant spiral. Those standing within a 20 foot radius will feel themselves being suddenly pulled down and into an incredibly strong vortex for 15 seconds. Those affected will feel the sensation of being freezing cold and as though they were drowning for the duration of the attack. Moving and attacking freely is almost impossible given the strength of the current. It’s possible to be lifted out of the vortex, and one could actually move out of it if they happen to be near the edge. He can use this attack 2 times per battle.
Deep Space Senshi:
Physical Features: Pointy ears adapted for water, gills behind the ears (closed and merely decorative on Earth, open and for breathing underwater on his homeworld), iridescent blue scales (10% of his body; purely cosmetic and offers no additional defense), eyes well-adjusted to seeing in the dark (only on his homeworld), claw-like hands (while they look like claws, the nails aren't actually long or sharp enough to do any damage beyond what the average person's nails can do), has a lower temperature than a human and always feels cool/cold to the touch
Backstory/History:
The planet Haik is arguably most well known for its deathly stormy surface. It is a planet made up largely of water, with various sized islands dotting the surface. The weather is severe and unwelcoming, and civilization had no choice but to go beneath the surface to survive. Due to the weather the planet was largely insular, but over time and much effort, trade contracts and treaties were established that allowed for society truly begin to grow and prosper. Even as the surface remained unchanged, civilization continued to advance and ultimately thrive. Haik was perhaps at its peak at the fall of the Silver Millenium. At that time, advancement slowed but the planet was able to self-sustain for a number of decades. It was when chaos came, took root, and began its infestation of the planet that everything came to a grinding halt.
The surface storms became impossible to traverse so all manner of trade and tourism were the first to stop. Communication with other planets shortly followed. Various creatures of the Deep, the biggest threats to known society, became frenzied. Stronger, for a time, destroying many of the floating cities and taking many lives before ultimately turning against and destroying each other. The chaos went hand-in-hand with the darkness of the depths, and a sort of madness consumed the people. Wars broke out as resources became scarce, and civilization began its decline. Eventually, all manner of life dwindled to near nothingness.
Dylan was born in the early centuries of the decline and awoke as Sailor Haik in his early teens. He was warm and jovial, an optimist with astounding determination founded in, perhaps, his naivete. His resolve to support and protect the world and its people gave many a sense of hope, though everything continued to crumble around them. No matter what he did, no matter how much he did, nothing changed. Chaos continued to spread and the world continued to decline. Eventually everything and everyone he knew and loved were lost yet somehow he remained. He became witness to a seemingly endless stream of depravity and death, which was rarely peaceful as the madness had gripped everyone over time. The Deep became devoid of life first, the very last of the world's natural resources, and then the cities followed. Slowly but surely, one after the other, until eventually only Sailor Haik remained..
