The castle's hallway was a bit quieter at this hour, it seemed to be one of the lull point in the evening, just after many of the more nocturnal agents leave for the city, well before they come back with energy in hand, or...whatever else they sought to gather. Walking further down, Hestia glanced at closed doorways, and looking in on the abandoned ones, with their dusty boxes on simple desks, trying to commit each to the mental map she'd been expanding with every visit. At some point, she would likely be expected to have some kind of office, but for now she rested comfortably upon her General King's assurance that it would awhile, before she expected to take up such responsibilities as fit her rank. In all honestly, she'd rather have a kitchen than an office. The one in the barracks was fine, but also shared. It was... limiting.Pushing open another door, Hestia was startled to see soft, warm lights in the dark of the office. The fact that it was clearly not an abandoned room didn't immediately register. For a long moment she was, instead, transfixed by those lights, feeling a pull at her heart for her homeworld, and the fires that she'd promised to tend.

There was a reason he'd picked this office above all the other options, and there were many options, it was far away from the other offices that were occupied. It was also small, because he didn't need a big office, and it was down a small side hallway where most people were unlikely to travel. It was perfect, for him anyway, and as he sat there someone opened his door and stood there.
They were another corrupt, like himself, but not one he'd ever seen before. He couldn't say he knew a lot of people, he didn't, but he had been involved in enough things that he had seen a lot of people within the Negaverse. This one he hadn't seen before and unsure what to say, and if he should at all speak, Miyamoto sat there watching her silently for several moments before clearing his throat.
"Can I help you?"

Startling, Hestia immediately realized both the situation and her complete rudeness. Flustered and flushing over her own intrusion, she gave a quick bow, "I'm Hestia, and I am so, so very sorry for barging in on you. I've been familiarizing myself with the castle, and thought this office was empty as well." Lifting a hand, she lightly brushed at a small, threatening tear. The maid senshi hadn't been expecting the sudden bout of emotion, especially after a good week of not feeling too deeply at all. It was rather unfair, to spring up so unexpectedly and make her look bad in front of a stranger.

Raising a hand he shook his head slowly. "It's fine, I picked this office for a reason." To be aware from the other offices. He didn't want to deal with the noise or other people deciding to potentially barge in for a visit, he wanted to make himself hard to find and bother. He wasn't much for socializing and would rather just do his job, deal with senshi and knights, and that be that. He wasn't looking to have this life crossover into his civilian life more than need be. With only two expections, Wolframite and Kai, he didn't care much for meshing his two lives together. He was still piecing together a civilian life for himself, no need to risk messing it up.
"You don't need to get teary, you weren't aware I was here, I doubt you even know who I am." Standing slowly, long hair trailing the floor, as he moved around his desk. The clothign he wore swept the ground, the tips of his slippers peeking out as he walked, the uniform somehow fitting for him.
"Why don't you have a seat and make yourself comfortable." And take the time she needed to get her tears under control. "I assume your new and yet you're eternal. Did you change sides?" Much like he'd done though he'd done that years ago now. He had needed time at first to get used to things, to find places, he didn't mind haunting the place late at night to find his way without running into people. It made it easy for him to do things at his own pace.

"Oh! Oh no, I'm just," she gave her cheeks a little pat, as if to brush off the emotions, "...I was reminded of my homeworld for a moment." She took in the eternal in front of her, and his chilly appearance. In contrast the office held warm light and a taste in furniture that a rich sense of comfort, a nice place to sink into. Perhaps the two should be at odds, but Hestia felt it was rather complimentary. A cozy cabin is all the more so for the snow outside. Taking a seat, back straight and hands primly in her lap, Hestia answered with a nod, "I...well, I don't think of it as changing sides, really. But I did choose to change my relationship with the negaverse. To care for its members, rather than fight." She smiled up at him, "But it's different from how I expected. Did you also choose, sir?"

"Oh, I see." Her homeworld was similar to his office in some way? Interesting, because his office was fairly lacking in terms of furniture, but he did wonder what her homeworld had been like. She clearly remembered and was indeed like him. She had changes sides the same as he had done, though more recently than he had, and likely for a different reason than he had.
"That's an interesting way of putting it. But the question than is why? Why decide to change the relationship and care for it's members? Why not care for those of order?" He didn't know a whole lot about the other side, he'd not had a good relationship with order, but that wasn't due to any people on that side. He just hadn't liked being pulled into a war without his permission and onto a side without his choice being asked for.
"I did, I made my choice a few years ago. I can't say there is a difference as I wasn't involved in the other side for the most part." Though he had gone to that gathering, that training event, all while knowing he was planning to defect. He'd gone in order to see what order could do, to learn about them by observing them, and that night he'd shown his true colors. He'd been left having to make his stance known. He wasn't upset with how things had gone.
"Good differences I hope."

"I was lost within Order, lacking in a purpose that felt true to myself," Hestia admitted softly. "When my world provided an answer within its traditions, I didn't hesitate to take this path. I do care for those within Order, though." She found herself almost stubbornly maintaining this, that it was decision made out of malice, hatred, or anything negative. "Just not in a way that drives me to serve others, and in turn, it never cared enough to direct me as one who serves. And..." the was a hesitation, but possibly another corrupt may understand. "It had been very hard, over the years, to stay my hand when presented with enemies belonging to something I feared. It may seem somewhat at odds, but I feel joining has been the kinder path." So he'd been with the Negaverse for awhile, and also lacked that feeling of connectedness toward Order. Hestia wondered if it would always be like this, or if the White Moon would someday truly organize under its princes and princesses. Something she'd once vaguely hoped for, and now, perhaps a thing to be dreaded. "I thought it would be a fairly hellish, to be honest. And I was ready to be hated. But instead it's active and supportive. General King Faustite has been kind rather than suspicious, and people have been accepting, even helpful." Remembering Faustite, also reminded her of the thermos of tea and increasing cache of snacks she was now keeping in her space at all times. "Are there any types of snacks you like? Outside of familiarizing myself with the city and castle, I've mainly been cooking."

Her answer was interesting, very interesting, but perhaps that was in part because he'd only been to his homeworld once and for a very short time. He hadn't wanted to really go but he had, he felt that intrest in going, to see what he was giving up by changing sides. He'd wanted to understand fully what he was giving up and come to terms with it - all of it. He knew he'd lose his family and his job and he'd accepted that. he knew he'd lose some memories, but not which part of his life, and he'd accepted that. But what had been in space, that was his, would he be loosing? That he'd needed to answer and he had answered it - and he was ok loosing it.
"Your world provided you an answer which led you away from it? Traditions...so memories of the past then?" He questioned. It wasn't something he knew anything about, not having talked to many on the other side and having not had such an experience himself. He couldn't say he understood her situation and what that meant for her. To have her own homeworld, and the memories it provided her, pushing her away from it. She could never visit it again.
"You sound like you are a senshi who would much rather be neutral...because you do not hate either side. But would perhaps rather serve both sides? If I'm assuming correct in how you're saying things and I'm interpreting them." He could be wrong, he really could be, but it seemed like she didn't want to hate anyone, or fight anyone, regardless of the side they were on.
"I can agree with you on how we've been treated by officers." Especially considering how good Wolframite had been to him, how the other had helped to make the changce over as easy and simple as possible, so he could reclaim some bits and pieces of himself...to remember Hisoka. It was a good thing, especially since he had his Japanese birth certificate, papwork for coming the US and becoming a citizen, there was also the information on his sulfa allergy and migranes. He'd been able to help himself and even attain a new Japanese birth certificate with his new information on it. He had wanted it, so he could seek dual citizenship. "This side seems to treat us well, better than order might think they would." If order had a clue more might change sides, not that he cared, but it might help the Negaverse as well.
"Snacks?" That was an unexpected change in things but he did take a moment to think before answering. Coming back to seat himself in his own chair he settled in, pulling his legs up and onto a small foot rest he had hidden under the desk. "I like to drink green tea, and I like more savory snacks. I don't like sweet foods. Some may say it's cliche but I tend to stick to Japanese snacks as they have more savory options." And while he hadn't been to Japan, Hisoka had not him, he still grasped at what he'd lost and delved into the culture he'd lost. The good thing was that he did enjoy the foods and snacks it offered. He still was piecing his life together...bits of Hisoka but with his own twist on it all. It was like a patchwork of him and Hisoka and his twist on Hisoka's offered bits.

"Yes, memories were the primary way my world was able to guide and teach me after awakening. Hestia was always a world that served and cared for others." Her smile crooked, "But there is no serving both sides. The only thing to serve in Order is one's own sense of justice." And that was, in her opinion at least, a wonderful thing for most of its members. But not all. Her own sense of justice clashed with Hestian ideals, it was an impulsive, violent thing. And served nothing but her own satisfaction in the moment. "Besides, I can't imagine that sort of neutrality would be indulged for long. Eventually I'll be commanded to harm those of Order, and I won't hesitate. But it won't be due dislike or a lack of caring." Her tone was solemn as she spoke of the hypothetical but unavoidable situation she'll face. It was something she'd simply had to accept prior to joining. It was reassuring to hear that kind treatment was shared, and not some exception toward herself. Sometimes an exception was like a beautiful tablecloth, hiding something warped and stained just underneath. As the other corrupt started talking about his preferred snacks, a small notepad and pen appeared in her hands. As Hestia wrote, a little wisp slipped out of her hair, weaving back and forth around her ponytail until it got bored and started to explore the office. Looking up from her notes, she asked, "Do you have any allergies or food sensitivities.... oh! I'm sorry, I never caught your name, sir."

"No, neutrality wouldn't be allowed on this side. I imagine order might allow it a bit more, since everyone is more for themselves than the whole. It's a wonder they've managed to keep this fight going for so many years." Shaking his head a bit at that. He was somewhat glad though, otherwise he might not be here, as he rather liked where he was right now. He was comfortable in his posistion in the Negaverse. Now he just needed to age like a fine wine and he'd be even better, he wasn't aiming for higher, he was certain some would not be pleased if he were to become some sort of royal corrupt senshi. Not to mention he didn't want to paperwork and other things which would come with it. He just wanted to kill order.
"I think I understand what you're saying...and what youa re about. It's different from most people...it's not bad though." Given his own looks it was obvious he liked different. He didn't like being the norm.
"No, nothing that I know of. Hisoka, my previous self, didn't mention it in the information he left for me." Watching the wisp move about his office, a small smile of amusment settling on his features. "Miyamoto...but you can also call me Kioshi." Not something he'd tell most but this one wasn't that bad, she was good in a way.

Messages from his past self...she knew there was similar waiting for her in a storage unit. "Kioshi., Hestia tried out the name, sounding it without her perpetual formality of Misters and Sirs. Both were nice names, but the latter clearly had the comfortable tones of a civilian name. "Ah, my civilian name is Everlee. But I haven't really used it yet. Neither my old name or my new one feel quite real, at the moment." The wisp strayed into her hands, and she began to absently try to pinch and stretch it like a piece of dough. The creature, enjoying the play, obligingly made itself seem to stretch thin and squish up along with her motions. "If I may ask, how did you go about it? Building a new life? It seems harder, when it comes to the non-magical half of my life." There was a whole clear space for her to do whatever she wanted, but there were also no guiding foundation of teachers and adults bringing a youth up to that point.

Shifting in his seat he got as comfortable as he could, moving his hair out from under himself, and let his elbows lean on the desk while his chin came to rest on folded hands. "It can be hard but Hisoka was prepared and thought of me, of what I'd need. Wolframite was generous enough to allow Hisoka to take his time and use it wisely. Hisoka boxed up many things, pictures, information, books, and more and Wolframite kept them safely for when I'd arrive and Hisoka would cease to be." And that information had helped, a lot, it wasn't just a letter though there had been a letter. It had told him what he'd done for a living and even more.
"Hisoka left me enough information that I was able to return to his fioeld of work, just at a different location, since my job doesn't need college or university it made things easier. A tattoo artist needs skill and time, an apprenticeship, so I took enough time to work on a whole new protfoliio I could use and I did." Hisoka's old work would not be useable, even if he wished he could, because people would notice the work and than questionms would come.
"Did you go into this planning to change sides? If so perhaps something was left for you? Help of some sort, a way to start building things up for yourself. Even a guide on what subjects you mightg be good at or what job you'd once had. Some starting point." Hisoka had thought a lot about it and Wolframite had been kind enough to allow him the time, had been understanding, and it had gained Kioshi's loyalty and then some.
"Or you could find something you're good at, or interested in, get someone to fake the high school records you'd need and go to uni for it. The papers needed can be faked but I wouldn't suggest jumping into a job you aren't qualified for...like a doctor or something. Go for something simple, something you can do, and actually do the time in uni for something that you want."

"Wolframite sounds very kind," Hestia said, voice turning thoughtful. Having someone waiting for you was likely of great benefit in creating a foundation to transfer to or wholly rebuild a life around. She wondered if Borax would have helped in that way, had she decided to ask while she was preparing, rather than only seeking him out the moment she was ready to join the Negaverse. He probably would have helped her, much like he helped her now. Not with anything as simple as kindness, or without some hidden little viciousness, but she thinks he would have, all the same. "I looked over the resume I submitted when joining, but nothing from it really called to me, not the way serving the people here does. There's a storage unit I left myself, but..." Hestia sighed, "...I'm not sure how much of my last life I want to bring into this one. Perhaps if there was something very cool, like tattooing, waiting for me," she gave him a genuinely impressed smile, "...I wouldn't be so hesitant. Do you...do you have any I could see?" There was a certain kira-kira sparkle in her eyes at the question. She didn't have any tattoos herself, possibly out of some sort of appearance of propriety she'd had to maintain before. But they had always struck her as exceedingly cool in both design and also as symbols of someone's dedication to looking really, really cool. Forever.

He knew people changed sides, it happened, and most he assumed went into it knowing how much they'd lose. So why people didn't prepare, as he had, was something he didn't understand really. That had been one of the first things he'd thought of. The losses he'd take and how he'd still need to survive in the real world, he couldn't just like in the dark kingdom, so he'd planned and worked it out. He'd had the help he'd needed in Wolframite who understood and knew what it was like. He knew the other had changed sides as well so knew about the loss and the need to have a foundation. Miyamoto couldn't have lucked out better that night when he'd run into Wolframite, he wasn't sure every officer would have agreed to things as the other had.
"You won't know if your other self left you anything until you look. They might have left you information, medical information, maybe college information so you know what might come easy to you." What jobs she might fall into with some ease. It might not solve all the issues, and give every answer, things still had to be worked at but it was something to work with.
Rolling up one of his sleeves he had a sleeve of inked flesh to show her. Dark and with flowers and leaves it didn't seem fitting for him, given his personality, and yet it was what he'd decided to decorate himself with in a forever way. "I only have this, for now, I've done my ears and my teeth though they won't last forever." His ears would though, they were modified for forever.
"If you decide you want to look over what your past self left for you.." Here he hesitated for a moment. He was not normally one to offer such help but she was like himself and her past self had done like Hisoka it seemed. "I'll join you in going over things. I'll help."

Leaning closer, Hestia took in the floral sprawl of his arm and murmured, "It's lovely." It was bold and graceful, and while his immediate impression on her was definitely one of grace, it wasn't much for boldness. Rather there was a temperate confidence that quietly commanded both attention and respect. The mention of his ear had here eyes darting toward them and a flush creeping up her cheeks nearly as bad as when she was made an impolite fool of herself in his doorway. Giving a little cough into her fist, she looked off to the side and admitted, "I...I thought those were just Negaverse extras." Hestia had only been to that storage unit once, and it was a very quick visit, Captain Borax in tow. She'd owed him something within it but, despite trusting the man with what amounted to her soul, she still hadn't quite trusted him with everything else. Yet. Since then, there'd been an almost comfortable sort of peace growing between them. Even if, sometimes, she wanted to throw him into a wall. "I'd....I'd like that quite a bit, thank you. It might be easier, with a more objective pair of eyes."
