The premise
Northern States Federation Wrestling (or NSFWrestling for short)
Is a wrestling promotion that started in the 70s that lasted until the 90s.

(... Yes the initials were intentional, for the attention)
(Though upon research there were 'Northern/Southern/Western/Eastern State' promotions irl, so ... I mean it's not out of the realm of possibility)



The show is dedicated to the wrestling shows 'most' of your characters grew up to love and enjoy, rather than saying 'WWE' or WWF, WCW, etc.
It's meant to be a kinda in-universe canon, so we're not blending reality and fiction, etc.
Kinda think of this as Ric Flair, Hogan, Bruno, Backlund, Shiek, Dusty, Andre, those kinda things.
From the Golden age of wrestling to the 'New Generation

Is there a backstory?
There is indeed a backstory to this 'promotion' that begins from the Carnival to the promoter's death, to the end of the promotion.

Why?
This isn't a knock at Reals, but in my mind, I don't exactly see Chrono or I dunno for example Shanahan hanging out with the likes of Stone Cold, the Rock, etc.
So this is kinda not phasing reals out, but it's more of a 'Here's a little bit more way back story on why your character wanted to be what they became, etc).

Whether you want to incorporate it or not, is entirely up to you.
But just saying ...That, no matter how much you want to say your character faced the Undertaker...
They did not.

But seriously? Why?

I want to experiment with something new, something never been done in the 20 year history of gaia feds.

Can my character be a part of it?
... Yes and no.
Yes if you were creating a character that fit that era,

No, if it's an already established person like Jed or Cartwright, or someone that wouldn't have been born during this time frame.

The ' Last' episode of NSFWrestling, is the start of Chrono & Jarel's rivalry (feat a very, very young Hiro in the crowd) as canonically the last show is in 1990.

'However' the way the shows are presented, someone like Freakshow could be doing an interview that featured footage of 'Richard Johnston Jr.' or 'The Manhattan Mangler' of NSFWrestling and talking about his favorite matches/segments

Presentation
The shows are presented as 'Lost footage' on the 'EWA Network' as more and more 'shows' are created, the 'library' is filled.
The idea is to do a complete history of one promotion from start to end, to revolutionize the era.

Will there be a focus on other promotions?
While there is other promotions listed in the 'History of NSFWrestling' , the focus for 'now' is NSFWrestling.
'If' it is successful, there are spin-offs planned.

Will we be able to RP these matches?
Yes, though keep in mind due to the era, there are limitations of course
Which will be noted in the guild

How will you combat in-activity?
NSFWrestling will have RPs yes, but there will also be 'casual' stuff done for people who have busy schedules.

The experience is meant for casual RPers and active ones.
Matches for 'active' people are 'presented in front of a 'live' audience

Matches for 'casual' people are presented as ' (Your character) talking about (your character)'s favorite moment/match from '*(Insert NSFWrestling Character here).

Will there be championships?
Obviously

There is a committee that I have gathered that will be booking.

I've no intention on RPing matches other than certain instances to 'fill the library' for 'special events'

Why stop at 1990?
There were internet sites around this time like RSPW, so I expect there were indeed Wrestling RPs back then, and seemed like a good place to stop

Fun Fact: The original incarnation of EWA (EWF) when I started in 98, had archives from 1992 of Wrestling RPs.
