Salem sat with his daughter Kyra in his private dressing room, watching the young girl of six swipe at fruit on a tablet as she made karate noises with each piece of sliced produce. Salem still felt the sting of some of the blows he'd taken during his meeting with Cartwright earlier in the evening, the boss' sucker punch and security's tasers leaving some lingering discomfort.
But that was a far cry from how he felt about the events to come, knowing his daughter would be stepping into the ring with a sadistic, cold-hearted b*****d like "The Butler" later. Despite this, Kyra didn't appear to have a care in the world, lost in the confidence and ignorance of childhood. Hugging her in his lap as he watched her play from over her shoulder, his attention shifted to the door as he heard a knock.
"Come in," he answered, watching the door to see who it might be.

'Like bloody ********' hell I'mma let this s**t fly!' she thought angrily to herself as she stormed through the rat way of corridors that consisted of the backstage area of that venues No Mercy. Was she on the show? Nope! Was there any security that was going to try and stop her? Also nope; if anything she looked like she belonged backstage more so than even some of the women that were, in fact, officially on the roster. Who was she? best answer; 1, 2, ******** you. After several minutes of searching, the woman found just what she had been looking for and quickly pounded on the door with the base of her balled up fist. Hearing the voice she had been expecting answer, the woman burst through the door as if she were a tornado in a trailer park; an absurdly trigger happy smile upon her face. "Oi! Salem! How the ******** are ya, ya scaly fork-tongued c**t?!"

The polite knock was followed by a hurricane of personality and profanity, Salem's eyes going wide as Jessie Lee stormed into the room swearing like a sailor! Kyra's eyes shot up in curiosity as her father's hands immediately covered her ears, telling her "Earmuffs!" in the code he used for moments Kyra shouldn't listen. Laughing nervously but smiling, Salem watched Jessie enter his dressing room as only she could, nodding as he greeted his friend.
"Eheh. Hey, Jess." he said, slowly pulling his hands off Kyra's ears as she stared in fascination at the outgoing woman. "Don't think I taught her some of those words yet, let's please not start tonight?"

"Huh?" was all Jess could reply as her mind finally caught up with her; not that there was much to catch up to at the moment. Raising an eyebrow, she looked down at the child sitting on. Yeah, she done goofed. She would have to fix that! Walking over to the father and daughter tandem, Jessie smiled as brightly as a person could before gently placing a hand on top of Kyra's head' giving her hair a slightly tousle.
"My bad; didn't realize ya'd have the world's most adorable ankle biter here." she continued as she gave Kyra's hair another tousle. Taking a step back, she fixed Salem with a fierce look; time for business.
"Salem, listen, I saw ya get your s**t rocked an' I gotta say it doesn't well with me; I'd wring that British bloke's ********' neck if I could. God knows that a live ring ain't made for a kid. However, I think I might be to lend a hand." she said as she reached back to a rear pocket on her jeans. A moment later she fished out a small envelope and held it out to him. "It ain't much, but it's the one I think it'll help."

Kyra's face glowed as Jessie acknowledged her, not even minding her hair being ruffled for the praise of such a strong, fun woman. Flashing a pearly smile, the little girl giggled and stared back at the boisterous lady with beaming eyes.
"I like you." Kyra said, before momentarily being distracted by her game once more.
Salem, meanwhile, reached over to grab her headphones that sat next to his tag title beside him, plugging them into her tablet and resting them on her head as Jessie talked about Kyra's upcoming match.
"Yeah, I know. He's a right proper b*****d." he said, rubbing his daughter's shoulder, knowing she couldn't hear any further foul language over her game. "He's kicked me from ringside, too. I'm gonna figure something out. He's not gonna do this to my daughter."
Noticing the envelope Jessie was extending towards him, Salem took it from her and curiously looked inside, his eyebrows lifting up in surprise as he examined the contents. Glancing back up at Jessie, he indicated with his chin towards the envelope.
"Is this...you're gonna give this to me?" he asked, a bit of hope in his voice as his mind seemed to be processing ideas behind his eager gaze.

"I wouldn't be back here riskin' my a** if I was just gonna yank your chain." she responded with a devious grin. It wasn't much, she had voiced as much, but if he could be as creative as he had ever been then she knew full well that this was an opportunity just waiting.
"So take it, ya silly ********' goober." she said as she tossed the envelop at him.

Salem nodded appreciatively, taking the envelope and sitting it next to his championship belt, strumming his fingers a moment on the tabletop. He was onto something, here, and pieces of a solution started to fall into place around his problem. He was glad he'd gotten in touch with Jessie, even though their contact had been more happenstance than coordinated. Kyra, meanwhile, oblivious to the adults talking around her, continued amusing herself with games on her tablet as she sat in Salem's lap.
"Thanks, Jessie. I owe you one. But stick around, we need to chat later. I got to go talk with Drako, though. You mind watching the rugrat for a minute? Keep any butlers or brits at bay for me?"

"Me? Babysit?" she questioned as she looked at the two of them. Punching people in the face and giving out concussions like free samples at a supermarket was something she could do; and do well. However, babysitting wasn't exactly up her alley even if she had spent a fair amount of time making sure grown children didn't do something most of her adult life.
"Well," she said after a long moment "I can't promise nothin', but if any of them bozos decide to pop through that door than there'll be three ********' bodies ready for the morgue."

Salem smiled and let out a chuckle, easing Kyra down to stand on her own two feet.
"Well, just don't teach her anymore 'colorful language', and it should be fine. I don't think I'll be long." he said, pulling Kyra's headphones down as he crouched to her level, meeting her eyes.
"Daddy's gotta go talk to some folks, okay, hun? You wait here with Aunt Jessie. If you're good, she might order you some pizza from catering."
"Pepperoni and pineapple?!" she exclaimed, looking starstruck between Salem and Jessie.

No "colorful language"? Not cool! Besides, she considered her "language" to be more creative than anthing else. Nonetheless, the excited look in Kyra's eyes at the mention of pizza caused her to laugh.
"Aye, kiddo! "Roni an' pineapple!"

With a squeal of joy, Kyra bolted to Jessie and hugged her waist, clinging to her excitedly. Laughing at her antics, Salem ruffled the girl's hair and kissed her atop the head, standing back straight and patting Jessie appreciatively on the back.
"Heh. Thanks, 'Aunt Jessie'. You might have your work cut out for you, though." he teased, smirking a bit. "She's a chip off the old block."
"We can get CHIPS too?!" Kyra asked eagerly, looking up at them.
