Here Sumner was, at the reservoir again. He couldn't help but stay at his usual patrol route. The last time he had come from here he had run into a Corrupt that had given him quite the fight. It made him realize that he still didn't have the experience that he wanted when it came to fighting, even if he did know how to land a punch now.

And so he was at the place that made him most comfortable as a Knight (though Squire at this point) on Earth.

he was staring into the dark water, no reflection to be seen, the moon was being covered by clouds, only peeking through every now and again to shed some light on the water, but otherwise only the only sound was crickets and the soft squeaking of his boots on the ridiculous sand that surrounded it.

And he just continued to stare, lost in thought, not realizing that another was nearby and was coming towards him for unknown reasons at this time...

He took a breath, still looking at the water, but then realized that there was sound and an... aura? One he didn't recognize as well. At least it was Order, he would have cursed his own foolishness if it had been Chaos and he hadn't realized it.

He turned in the direction that the aura, and sound, was coming from and could see that it was definitely a person, a Knight at least. He decided to stay where he was for the moment. He had already walked around the reservoir for a bit.

When the other was close enough he waved to them and then he could see some of the uniform that they were wearing. It appeared to be Neptune, though he waited for the Page to come closer before coming to that conclusion. Still, he hoped that his wave was invitation enough.

Sumner nodded to the Page. "Evening. I don't believe we've met before." They could have of course in any of the groups that Sumner had been in where they only had a minute or two of introducing themselves to one another before having to go somewhere or do something else.

"Do you usually patrol around the reservoir?" As much as Sumner wanted to say that it was his turf, he knew in reality that the more the better and if there were more, that it would be easier to fight any Agents who decided that they would try the area out. Not to mention actually getting to know fellow Order. He knew they all needed more of that.

"I'm Sumner. It's good to meet another Neptune Knight around here. I've met a few others as well, but I feel like we should all get to know each other, at least a little bit."

Sumner wasn't surprised that the other Knight hadn't gotten out that much. He could just imagine that others were much more busy with their civilians lives that it made it harder to go out and be powered up unless there was some immediate event that they may have been able to help with. Much easier to be the ones going out and getting into trouble versus being the ones who had to find the troublemakers and make them stop.

"Well, I'm glad that we could finally meet. I know that it can be hard to meet others, not only Neptune Knights but really anyone." And keep in touch with them. Why was making friends as an adult just as hard on the powered side when they were basically all coworkers?! It was like they all had their own tasks and decided to only talk to a few others and ignore everyone else. And he was part of that problem.

He would have to think on it to see if he could do something to change that. Maybe make a chatroom or something if the Mauvians were up for it. "You notice anything strange around here? Besides the sand." He asked with a knowing smile on his face. "Trust me, I work around here and hearing it for hours on end it's still is unbelievable. Who makes sand that squeaks anyway. Maybe scientists should study it."

Sumner nodded but couldn't help but be a bit disappointed at the lack of noticed activity. Or activity around the reservoir in general. He was sure there had to be a reason for all of this going on, but so far no one had been able to find any magic besides that of chaos and order. Anything else was a complete mystery and seemed to only be at certain times of the year.

Since it wasn't either type of known magic, he often wondered if it happened elsewhere in the world.

"Unfortunate, but thanks for letting me know. I'm glad you're going to try to do more but don't push yourself too hard. I know that a lot of us, including myself, don't have the experience needed to fight as much as we might want." He had only recently learned how to punch correctly. Everything else was on-the-fly learning. Including what his magic could and could not do.

"I'm still learning myself. Though I can't say I've been at this for very long either. If you want, we can message each other if we need any help. I'm always willing to help a fellow Knight."

Sumner was surprised to hear what the other had to say about the magic. He hadn't thought of it like that before. His surprise showed on his face. "You could be right! I haven't thought of it like that before. Perhaps magic just flows more freely here, outside of Order and Chaos and maybe it can be channeled into either one." He looked at the other Knight. "Sorry, I basically repeated what you said. It makes a lot of sense though and it's interesting that it hasn't happened outside of Destiny City. I grew up here so it's kind of... normalized a bit." He had gone on vacation to other places with his family, but he certainly didn't remember anything that couldn't be explained by science happening.

He chuckled at the fighting comment. "That's true. Though that means I need more personal training so that I'm more ready when/if I advance." He would have to work on that. Perhaps another visit to his Wonder was in order? Pun not intended.

He took out a piece of paper along with a pen on the water-proof bag that he had been carrying and quickly wrote his name down. "Here's how to spell my name. Whenever you want to send a message you can and I'll get it on my ring." He said, holding the paper out to the other Knight.
