Noelle had spent all morning making some gingerbread-looking cookies. They had the cutest little red noses and of course holly hats on them. Since if they weren't Christmas they weren't what she needed. That was until her alarm went off on her phone. It was time to go on her weekly patrol, as she shut off the phone alert. She quickly placed her cookies in containers and raced off. Since it was her nanny's day off luckily she had no one to explain herself to today. After she got outside she found an alleyway that was not in use by anyone and transformed.
After transforming Christabel was ready for anything or so she thought. As she headed in the direction of a haunted land her friend Shedir had told her about. She figured that if there was action to be had she might as well try something different. Now haunted places were not her thing, but today she figured - why not give it a shot? Plus if it was a little too dark maybe she could brighten it up with her Mistletoe Christmas charm.
She stepped into the supposed haunted land, and was immediately met with a cold chill. There was something in the air, and Christabel was beginning to have doubts about doing her patrol here. She paused for a moment, and the only sound that filled the air was the beating of her own heart. Maybe she was over-reacting she thought to herself as she looked around to see if anyone else was around. "Is anyone around?" she said aloud. She figured if anyone was here she might as well face it head on. Something she hadn't ever done before. Lithiasaur Here's a start! I hope this works. =)

Wezen had no idea she was near a place that had any kind of a reputation, let alone one that matched the name of her sphere so well. For her own part, she was still learning about many aspects of human culture and one of the most confusing things to grasp was the idea of urban legends and myths. Conspiracy theories, occult and paranormal happenings: for her, she could not understand how someone might just believe in something.
For the sake of it. For the feeling in it. Knowing something to be true based on faith and ideals, or blurry pictures and confusing personal accounts from less than reputable sources, made for a very complicated learning experience for an alien that came from a planet of nothing at all.
Still, she found it all fascinating. Humans, and all the other life forms that inhabited or visited this place, were so curious and complicated, and it made her eager to keep digging and exploring. Even if it meant leaving her roommate and sneaking out on her own when she had warnings not to be alone.
She felt an aura and heard a voice. Pausing in her wandering, she glanced around, before following the sound and finding the source of the aura.
"Hello," she said blandly, regarding the other with an unreadable expression.

Christabel jumped a little bit when she heard the voice. Something about the haunted land had her a bit on edge. Since, frankly, she hadn't expected anyone to answer her back. She was surprised to hear another voice in this empty place. She slowly turned around to see what could have made the sound.
She quickly looked in the direction of the voice since she couldn't hear any emotion behind it. Or well, any emotion she could hear anyway. That was when she saw someone with beautiful long hair. She looked unlike any other sailor she had ever met. If she was a sailor that is—since who knew she could be wrong? Since the stars on her dress almost looked to her like they came out of the sky. She even looked like she had gems in her outfit, which was very different from the one she was wearing.
She smiled in her direction and decided it was best to introduce herself. After all, what could it hurt, right? "Well, hello there! I'm Christabel Senshi of Mistletoe. What brings you to these haunted lands?" She spoke with a voice full of a jolly-sounding tone.

Whenever Wezen felt something like confusion or doubt in her mind, she voiced it immediately. Sinistra told her this was not always a good thing, though honesty was approved of in general society. She often explained there was a difference between being honest and kind, and just being blunt and saying things that, perhaps, were better left unnsaid.
It was a concerpt Wezen continued to struggle to understand. How could anyone learn anything, especailly an alien from another world, if there were invisible rules to what she could and could not ask, and she was somehow the one that needed to be responsible for figuring them out before she spoke? To her, she felt it was up to her conversation partner to let her know when she said something unintentionally inapprorpriate, or asked a question she was not allowed to ask.
That would leave less room for errors on her end: she could have an important question she wanted to know the answer to, but could tell herself not to ask it and then never find out the answer. But she would also never know that, maybe, it had been okay to ask, after all.
Human conversation rules, beyond the languages themselves, were profoundly complicated.
"I am Wezen," she said, with a nod and holding her hand straight out in greeting. She was six foot tall, which often made this gesture of a handshake an awkward or difficult one for the smaller beings of this world. "Senshi of Haunting. While I understand what a missle is from watching the 'News', I am unsure why one would be in your toes. What sort of power is this?"
She stared at the other senshi intensely and, of course, showed no sign of being kidding. She showed no sign of anything, actually.

Christabel reached her hand upward and shook their hand. They were a lot taller than her, but for some reason she didn't find them very scary. More so she was curious, since she had never meant a senshi of haunting before. Her curiosity only grew once she heard their description of mistletoe. She giggled and then responded, "It's nice to meet you! But that's not what mistletoe is silly. Mistletoe is a Christmas joy - it has green leaves and red berries on it. It's one of the main joys that come around Christmas time. Like this." With that she pointed towards her collar where a bright red bow hung, with a few green leaves. It was one of her favorite things about her outfit. She felt like in the center it reminded her that Christmas joy was never that far away. The joy was always right there in the center of her being.
After that she said, "If you'd like I can show you just what a senshi of Mistletoe can do?" She finished her offer with a smile. Somehow having another person in this area made it a lot less spooky. At least for her anyways. Lithiasaur Tag! Apologize this took so long!

Wezen flinched. She knew what Christmas was solely from Sinistra telling her it was too early to watch those movies on the marked hall channel, then proceeding to watch them every afternoon. She knew it was snowy, the white soft looking stuff, and that it was a time of happiness and when humans seemed to be at their most romantic. At least, in those movies they always seemed to be partnering up and changing their life plans to form one together.
It was a strange custom, but it was one she was even more curious about. When she asked Sinistra who she was going to pair with, though, Sinistra generally changed the subject.
"I have seen that in my roommate's movies," Wezen nodded. "It does seem to be a common theme in them, when they take place at 'Christmas'. I am very curious to see my first one here, but Sinistra says there are other 'holidays' to get through first."
Wezen sighed thoughtfully, but the pause was otherwise emotionless. She nodded her head, though, at the offer of a show of magic.
"Yes, please. I can show you what a Senshi of Haunting can do, too, if you would like that in return." She did not seem to really understand just how very different the two offers were. Not to mention the fact that her magic could be very upsetting for the person it was used on. She never saw what they did, though, she so had no true understanding of how traumatic it could be.

Christabel heard movies and many different scenes flashed through her mind. She had seen so many Christmas movies she had truly lost count. So it was definitely a great place to see Christmas when it wasn't time for it yet. Then she shook her head at the mention of other holidays. They were right, Thanksgiving and Halloween still had to come. For her though Christmas never left - it was year round.
"Your roommate sounds interesting and very smart!" she said kindly as she thought about the offer. She didn't even think about what a senshi of haunting might do. So she just nodded excitedly! "I would love that! Well in that case here goes nothing!" she said sweetly as she backed up a bit and took a deep breath. She had no idea what was in store but she couldn't wait to see. Who knew what kind of Senshi Attack they might have? It all excited her with so much joy she could hardly contain it.
She took a moment to visualize her attack and spoke aloud, "Let my mistletoe shine - go berry blast!" With that she blew a kiss in Wezen's direction and sent an array of mistletoe berries in their direction. She hoped it would at least somewhat get near them. Since she had been trying her best to work on the aim of her attack. Berry Blast If they burst on impact, they have the potential of leaving a sticky residue that the target will have difficulty removing. If they do not burst, they cause discomfort akin to being pelted with a series of small, hard berries. Impact is determined by player's discretion. Attack lasts 15 seconds. Can hit only 1 person per attack, 3 uses per battle.

"She is both those things," Wezen agreed, without any sentimentality. From her estimation of humans, Sinistra was in the top tier. Of course, she was also the first one she had ever met, and one who had been nothing but kind and giving toward her ever since. She had even given her a home, along with all the knowledge she shared.
So of course, Wezen compared most other humans to her, and while many of them were excellent and she had not yet met one she did not like, (minus those tainted by chaos, but they no longer counted) none seemed to quite reach her level.
She had only a textbook definition of bias, and did not apply it in this case. Which probably just added to the evidence that she was, in fact, being very bias.
Wezen watched the berries thoughtfully, taking a few step back and watching them land on the ground with interest. Some burst, and she stooped to poke at the resulting goo in interest. She felt how resistant it was, nodding her head.
"It is colorful, and could be very useful. That's a good attack to have. Better than Sinistra's, at least. But perhaps mine is of the same vein. It often causes an opponent to stop."

Christabel was happy to hear the review on her attack. Even if it wasn't a direct hit she was totally okay with that. After all she just wanted to show what the senshi of mistletoe did. Plus to her surprise it sounded like they even thought her attack was good to have. Which was a first for her, most people just commented on the goo that came if the berries exploded.
"Well thank you! I'm so happy to hear my attack could be useful," she said with lots of joy in her voice. Since all she really wanted to be was useful, after all it was in her mind. Her priorities were to spread joy and be able to hold her own in a battle with the negaverse. Not that she had been in many battles yet, but if she was it helped to have a good attack. Like her friend Shedir had amazing mummy attacks. she hoped one day hers would grow to be as strong as hers.
At the thought of that she curiously asked, "So what is your attack like? I'd love to see it! I'm sure its a wonderful one!" She really was intriqued since seeing all these attacks had her iching to grow stronger!

chi honda Sailor Scout Attack: Hologram Ghost Wezen holds up her hands and summons the spectral image of a small ghost. It is unique to each enemy, often inspired by their fears or memories. It screams and lunges at the target, directly at their face. When it connects it passes through its target and dissolves, leaving behind a white hot pain where it made contact for a few seconds. The feeling lingers as the pain fades, a sensation of not being alone in ones own body, of being haunted, and a crawling of the skin taking up the rest of the spells duration. 30 Seconds Three Uses Ten feet Wezen looked a little confused, if that were possible, her eyes wider than normal. She was not used to people being so happy when they spoke to her: more often than not, when she delivered her thoughts on a subject it either left her conversation partner angry or confused. Happy was rare, but a welcomed change, as it was a side of people she did not get to see in its purest forms too often.
Except for Sinistra, of course. She had the advantage, though, as she had much more time and opportunity to get used to the way Wezen spoke than anyone else. They were friends, if Wezen knew how to define that word properly.
She was curious what the other would think of her attack, and had no immediately qualms about using it. A thoughtful part of her brain reminded her that it was generally a negative experience, but would it not be safe to assume attacks meant to aid them in battle were more often than not designed that way? In that way, this senshi probably knew what she was getting in to.
More colloquially, a sphere like 'haunting' probably had its own warning label.
"I will show you," she said, taking a step back and holding her hand up. That voice in the back of her mind, one that had only recently showed up and Sinistra had likened to a confusing story about a cricket that Wezen did not follow, chirped impotently again. It failed to stop her. "Hologram Ghost."

Christabel waited curiously as she heard them state their attack name. That was when she saw what looked to be a skeleton ghost of Santa. It was literally her worst nightmare - that Christmas was over. That the thing she loved most in the world was gone.
Just the thought of that made her disparate for a little bit. It was like the joy she felt in her heart was fading. If that wasn't enough she heard something scream and lunge right at her face. Then as if by magic it just disappeared but not without leaving a little pain behind.
The feeling of losing the one thing she loved most was still at the back of her mind. She shook her head and tried her best to smile. "That attack of yours is definitely something! I can see how powerful it can be! It's amazing," she said with as joyous a voice as she could muster.
After saying that she just had a sudden urge to head home and watch some Christmas movies with Coco and her favorite blanket. Just the thought of that slightly lifted her soul.
"You know I have to say meeting you has taught me a lot about senshi. So thank you for that! I will say it has also made me realize I need to watch some Christmas movies tonight," she said with a bit of a laugh. She didn't want to be rude but something in her told her she needed to go now. Maybe it was that skeleton ghost she saw or something else but she needed to go now.
"So on that note I hope we can definitely meet again and thank you for showing me your magic. Maybe one day we can fight on the battlefield together - well once I get stronger like you that is!" With that final sentence she turned and headed for home.
"Goodbye and I hope we meet again someday!" She truly did, since that senshi was a force to be reckoned with and she knew if she ever fought beside them one day they would be an amazing alley. Though before she could be that strong she needed to feel her Christmas joy again it was hard right now to muster a smile but she knew that her training was definitely growing after todays encounter. They had taught her that she needed more strength. SOmething right now she lacked.

Wezen tilted her head, wondering with more curiosity than she normally felt about what the other saw. She never knew, and rarely sought to know, what the victims of her magic witnessed as the thing that haunted them. She knew the basics of what her magic did, after using it on Sinistra by accident to quite devastating results. At least to her partner. It was easy enough for most to shake off, though, but it left her wondering all the same.
Humans were all so unique, from their voices to their looks, and she knew their trauma and fears were just as varied. It was a wonder to her, but she doubted Sinistra would like it all that much if she started investigating that with her powers, just to satisfy her own question. She had been warned that her magic could be very upsetting to certain people, and to only use it on bad guys and when necessary.
Of course, Wezen's ability to judge such situations was limited at best. Like right now. This casual conversation and meeting of curious minds made it seem like it was necessary to use it.
"It is rare for me to teach anyone on this planet anything, " Wezen said honestly, as per usual. She nodded her head, though, at least understanding what Christmas movies were. Sinistra really liked those. "Goodbye," she said carefully, as politely as she could. Which was lifeless and just as bland as everything else she said, but the thought was there. She watched as the other wandered off, and found herself almost wishing they could have spoken more. Perhaps they would meet again, another time.
