Walking with Mali, she followed the directions from her phone to get them both to the store. Since it was kind of late, the lights were on but the little building was free of other customers. "It used to be one of those like.... laundromats I think? Now it's just vending machines and that change machine thing they have barred up within an inch of its life." Walking in, she held the door open for Mali to follow. There were eight machines with all different things, including one that was full of cold food and one that was warm food. Someone had to swap stuff out nightly for the warm one but she hadn't seen them yet. She wouldn't tell him but there was a mirror she used to get here in the little bathroom to the side. It was super convenient and made for a great place to stop before heading home without having to worry about dealing with people while powered up. With her phone still in hand, she made sure she had money on her tap to pay. Luckily these things took that as well because she didn't really carry cash anymore. The only issue is the huge bundle of keychains and charms sometimes got in the way of the reader. "I can grab you whatever you want as a thank you. "

It was a shame that this Mirror Senshi didn't simply provide Mali the address to the location they were headed to. With her mirror walking and his teleportation powers, they could have gotten there in no time at all. But there was no point in dwelling on that. She seemed happy enough to show him around and he would be rude to tell her otherwise. Though... Alright, he had to admit, when Hela said she'd bring him somewhere that could have a drink for them, the last thing he expected was a laundromat. He had thought maybe like, one of those weird drive thrus that didn't care if you were on foot. Or maybe that weird little 7-11 of Todd's... But this... "Wow..." Was all he could say at first, glancing around to make sure there weren't any CRTVs or anything of the like nearby. Mali also took a glance at Hela's phone and... Hm. That might be a problem, very easily identifiable if one were to look... Buuuuuuut he'd keep his thoughts to himself. Like he had been for a large part of the evening. "Do you normally eat the warm food? For now I'll take a... Root Beer."

Walking around to look at the various choices the machines had today, she thought about all the things she had tried in the past. "I've tried some of the pizza before, it was pretty good. Honestly better than like some of the convenience store ones around here. The ice cream vending machine always sells out, I'm not exactly sure when they restock stuff but it's probably like once every few days I think? I've seen boxes behind here in the dumpster sometimes."Walking back over to the soda machine, she tapped her phone and got his root beer before tapping again to get herself one of the Korean milk sodas from the same machine. "Here ya go." Handing it over, she went back to looking at what kind of chips she wanted today. "I've tried a lot of the stuff here since it's in a convenient place while out and about. I'm not really super keen on the whole magical get-up still so I'm not about to go to a store with an actual cashier like this. But I figure since there are no cameras here because the machines use a tilt sensor for security, it should be fine yea? There is so much stuff here in the city though, it's kinda neat."After everything was purchased, she threw her "work" phone into subspace and tore into her snacks.

"I see..." Mali wasn't about to tell her that he was a chef and could create much better stuff than this slop... Especially since he found himself poking at a machine to see if one of the 'warm' chicken nuggets were worth it. If he ate it powered up, surely he'd recover quickly from any sort of stomach problems he'd face later. Probably. "Thank you." Atleast the soda was nice and cold. "Is there? I admit, I've only just returned to the city after being away for some time. I'm not quite used to seeing all this." Even his old apartment building felt entirely strange to him. The only thing that remained the same was his twin and their kitten, but they had always been side by side so what did that even matter? The soda was popped open and a large gulp was taken. Hard to mess that up! "... Did you say it before? Just how long have you been apart of all this? This Senshi nonsense?"

"No problem, and yea totally. The nearest store of any sort from where I lived was like.... half an hour away and it was a Walmart. If we were lucky sometimes the carnival might roll up next to it but otherwise, there wasn't a lot going on." It had been beautiful there at least, giving her lots of things to photograph for her portfolio when she applied for college. Downing her soda, she threw the can across the room into the trash can. She had done it enough times now that it made it in easily. "Oh uh... I think about maybe two or three months maybe? It almost maced the guy who brought me in because I thought he was a creeper while I was out taking photos for my side gig. I'd never seen like... some weird magical stuff like that before, I thought they were a cosplayer maybe or somethin? Yanno weird stuff city people get up to late at night."Snacking on her chips, she heaved herself onto the little ledge that probably used to hold a washer or dryer from where the place was probably a laundromat before. "It's been... a lot to get used to but I think it's neat. I know I got a lot of pretty photos of that stuff that happened in the sky a bit back. Got a nice little prize from a newspaper for the photo I took. It's a lot nice doing stuff like that instead of photographing people and stuff." She was still trying to get used to how different people were in the city. Hybris was pretty good at keeping her away from the ones who would take advantage of her being so nice. Sure maybe this meeting started off probably not with the most common sense, things were going pretty smoothly now at least.

His own soda was downed in a flash. Who knew he was so thirsty? ... Probably from talking alot more than he was used to. Mali was typically a quiet sort and hardly did more than the occasional cackle. Having whole conversations that lasted more than a few minutes? Unheard of. Yet here he was, almost enjoying the time spent with this little strange woman. "... Ah, you're a sprout then." Was he referencing a game? Probably. "I'm not surprised at the reaction though. Everyone's outfits... I must admit, It's fascinating to just look on and see whatever the space power originators thought of for our looks. Mine is entirely different than yours, with yours being far more lovely. There are times when I see a stranger out there in their uniforms, and simply become jealous." It was true, he thought his was so very basic compared to so many others. Even his sisters was quite glamours, and he just looked like some slightly messed up fashion doll. He didn't sit beside her, but did lean his back against the wall nearby, poking and prodding at whatever chosen snack he got. Did he really dare to eat this? Probably. "That's rather impressive, the optimism you show. When I first joined, I hated it. I felt as if my freedom and innocence was stolen from me. This was years and years ago, and I now recognize it was for the best, but back then... I felt like my hand was forced because it was something my sister wanted as well. I'm... Almost happy to know you are enjoying yourself."

Sprout.... she'd heard that before, on one of the games she played on stream. But she wasn't going to leak that, she knew that would be a bad idea. "I guess yea, one of my friends has been in it a bit longer than me. He's super fancy like... dramatic~" She posed all fancy where she sat, trying to remember how flashy Hybris was before snorting and starting into a laugh. "I've seen a lot of neat stuff but uhh thank you though. I don't think mine is much but whatever the universe assigned me, it is what it is right?" She tried really hard not to get embarrassed at the compliment, she was still not used to them. "I think... well I guess.." She tilted her chin into her hand as she thought. "I wouldn't say optimism maybe? I just kinda joined up because they say I could pack more of a punch against the weird things that were bugging me when I was out taking photos at night. But, I think I can get that point of view too, depending on what went down and things like that. But at least you've still got your family with you, it's not like you got split to different paths and stuff?" She didn't have any siblings but she knew it would probably be hard if she had to leave them behind because of whatever magical fate decision happened. "I think it's just kind of a new way to experience things, new city new me kind of deal. Plus I think maybe it makes it easier to meet people in a way, which was something I never really did before coming into the city. It was kinda hard when everyone already knew everyone." Finishing her chips, she aimed and hit the trash can again. "Maybe talk with her about it? But like I really understand if I am like already saying too much. Want anything else to snack on though?" She looked longingly at the last redbull in the machine, contemplating if she really wanted to pull an all-nighter on homework when she got back.

I half imagine whomever was in charge of Zubeneschamli was far kinkier than expected." Even looking down he could see just how much of his chest and hips were exposed. Should it get any worse, he'd have to start wearing a jacket everywhere. She had a point though... He still had his sister. Gods knew what would have happened if either of them ended up on the other side. Though it was clear, he would have easily given up his life to still be by her side back then. Now? No, he would have to forget about her. There was no other choice. A surprisingly kind smile was offered to Hela. She was too kind... And he truly hoped no harm came to her. It would be quite the shame... "Believe me, I have. And we shall see. For now, we are happy, and I'm good on snacks. And what of you? Have you enough? I was not exactly gentle with you tonight, you should make sure to rest well."

Feeling her face blush with embarrassment she covered it with her hands. She didn't want to be rude and try thinking of how someone who already had like less clothing could lose more fabric. "Oh no, I really hope that doesn't happen to me I feel like... already not dressed enough with what I'm wearing." Usually, she wore stuff that hid her figure and covered pretty much neck to toe with lots of pockets or straps for things she needed for photography. Seeing his smile between her fingers, she pulled her hands back down even if she knew her face was still a bit pink in the cheeks. "That's good at least, and I uhh I think I'm going to get another redbull I have a big photo thing I have to edit and I'm totally fine!" Getting even more embarrassed again she waved her hands in front of her. "I've tussled with some crazy things since coming here and back home I had to deal with a lot of wildlife trying to get our chickens so I've taken a lot of hits and I've been fine." Hopping down from her seat, she pulled out her phone to tap the machine and get the last can. Opening it, she chugged it before crushing the can and dropping it back in the trash can. Exhaling a bit of cold breath since that machine kept things way colder than they should be even if it didn't freeze stuff. "I guess the next thing is how to I reach ya if we want to hang out again?" She couldn't just send him a message on the same thing she used to contact Hybris or Kiuchi. "Hrm..." Tilting her head from side to side as she thought of the options. She wasn't gonna give her real number out but maybe the one for her side phone with all the charms since it wasn't linked to her real name just some random one she'd made up with a fake address so she could side load international games on it.

Ah. She was quite cute, in a way. It reminded him of his underclassmen at University when he managed to tell them good work. Flattered and flustered. And very, very red. That little smile he had continued to linger, and he nodded with her, amused by her antics and words. "Don't do anything to overwork yourself either. Resting is just as important as schoolwork is. And don't drink too many of those, they'll keep you wired for way too long." The lecture began the same way it did for 'Nubi, and Mali had to catch himself before he got even more scolding with it. His words were light, full of mirth and amusement, but he did know that some did not take too kindly to that, so he tried to be a little careful. "I'm surprised you'd want to see me again after all of that, but I'll add this little hide away to my rounds. If you ever want to meet up again, you can always leave a little note somewhere, with a time and date. I will be sure to keep an eye out for it, and then should we get a little more comfortable, I'll be happy to share my number with you." Was it a flirt? Hard to say with Landry, but he did know that he wouldn't mind at all seeing this little doll-like creature again. And perhaps introducing her to Lori. Yes, that would be nice, his sister needed more friends.
