Things were looking up, he had a fancy new arm and some understanding of this new world he was on and the people who inhabited it. Procyon was very excited to test out a new route each time he went out on patrol. Most of the time it was uneventful and led to him learning about the things people did in this city. But tonight his goal was to see if he could find another senshi like the dragon man he had met. It would be nice to meet more of those guardian cats as well, he loved how soft and warm they were. Walking beneath the trees of one of the parks, he thought he felt another senshi aura. Focusing for a moment, he felt around to see if there were any of the chaos ones around tonight. Luckily nothing that he could tell so he started walking towards the one that felt safe. He had picked up a book about the city to try to keep himself from getting lost and he used it now to keep track of where he was. It talked of all sorts of types of places, some he had an understanding of and others he had no clue about. Hopefully, he could ask some questions about things when he reached this senshi.

Sailor Wezen was getting more used to traveling around the city in the gloom of the evening. Really, darkness suited her much better than the sunlight did: her planet had always been dark. Not that there had been a need to travel or take note of anything around her, for most of her time there, but her eyes did still react better under the shadows than in the bright sun.
Kryptonian she was not: the sun did not make her feel energized. In fact, she usually felt tired if she spent too long out in it, and she noted that if Sinistra was outside during the day too long her skin turned red. She said it was because she forgot 'sunblock', but Wezen had so far not figured out how one would block that the sun in any capacity beyond going into shelter.
The park was a bit more confusing than the streets, as they all had fairly obvious signs and landmarks whereas the park was just foliage. That was another thing her planet completely lacked, though she much preferred this landscape to anything she had ever seen on Wezen. In the darkness it was even more beautiful, and she felt oddly at peace while she was here. Happy, as far as she understood it.
But why would just being in this place make her feel something like that? Make her feel anything, at all?
She felt an aura nearby and determined it to be a friendly one. Or rather, one that was technically meant to be friendly, though she had learned that every human and other being here had very different views on what that meant. And how they felt toward strangers varied just as widely. Sinistra told her to be careful, so she approached the aura directly and spotted its source without hesitation or any kind of care at all.
"Hello," she called. Sinistra also told her to be friendly, which she felt was usually accomplished by a solid greeting.

Procyon saw them approaching and stood still to allow them to come closer. They were... gigantic! He had to look up a bit at them to try to meet their eyes. "Oh hello!" He offered a small wave to them as he took in their appearance. He loved the little details on her outfit, they were... what's the word? Lace. Yes, that was it and they looked really cute. Thinking for a moment, he looked at the bench and wondered if it would be better to have a seat. That seemed the polite thing to do, right? "How are you? Do you want to take a seat and chat?" He motioned with his prosthetic to the bench for a moment. "Are you from this world or another? I'm still trying to make sense of a lot of things here myself." They looked pretty human from what he could tell but there were so many places in this universe so who knew when it really came down to it?

Wezen might have looked surprised, if she were anyone else. As it was, she simply stared at him for a long moment with no expression of any kind, her thoughts kept entirely to herself. She considered his appearance, then his words, then decided to accept his offer of sitting together.
She moved to the bench and sat down, looking at him again. At the very least, her intense, colorful gaze being so consistent could at least speak to her curiosity.
"I am from a planet called Wezen. I believe I much prefer Earth." She nodded her head succinctly, though she had not really been asked for an answer like that. "IT is a lot to take in for me, I admit... learning language was easy enough, but the... life. Here. It is. A lot. There is a lot of it."
She paused for a moment too long, staring off at some unseen point in the distance, before focusing her eyes on him yet again. Whatever memory had come for her, she had taken a moment to process and then, seemingly, disregard it. She was not exactly a sentimental or emotional type, and though the memory was arguably a bad one, she had no true feelings about it either way. At least, not in a way that she knew how to recognize.
"How do you find it? Where are you from? Was there life on your planet, as well?"

Watching as she sat down for a moment, he looked at her outfit curiously. It was exciting to hear that he had been right about her being from another planet even if he didn't recognize the name. It must not have been a planet that sought the fabrics and entertainment that his world had been known for. Looking for a moment to try to see what she had been staring off at, he noticed the moment was over and she had returned her attention to him. "Oh, yes. I am from a planet called Procyon, it was an underwater world. I am getting used to being on land here but I think I quite like it so far. We had life, in a way. I think.... what's the word they said... I think they call them fish and keep them in aquariums here? Though I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. I am getting used to seeing things that have fluff and fuzz here though, those were not something that happened commonly back home in our wildlife." Thinking back to the little bits he had gathered when looking at the map of the city, he would have to go exploring at a later point once he was able to appear as a human. Thinking for a moment he continued with an idea that had started forming. "There wasn't much life left before I escaped from my home though, it was very quiet and still. I really wasn't sure what to do anymore after I lost my arm. But let's uh not dwell on that. How long have you been here though? If it is ok for me to ask?" Trying to brighten back up and shift the focus back to his potential new friend, he offered a bit of a smile.

Water? She remembered another being whose namesake was water themed, but they were not an alien, as she understood it. They simply represented other planets with their powers, and there was some sort of theming to their powers as well. On top of normal human life, there was a lot to learn about Senshi and Knights.
Not to mention all the intricacies of Chaos, though she hated them all the same and did not care to make any personal acquaintances with those under its influence.
"Not very long," Wezen said, easily complying with his request not to dwell too long on a topic. She understood that some people had things they did not want to talk about, no matter how curious she was about them. They were difficult, and beings beyond her understanding had much stronger emotional responses to things than she was capable of. At the very least, despite not being able to feel or experience anything like that yet, she did her best to be respectful when they were clear about it.
She made a lot of people upset when she did not pick up on subtle clues and hints: she was still practicing how to read faces and tones, as none of that existed on her planet. No one even talked. It was so much easier when someone just said what they felt.
"Not very long. I simply appeared here, I believe. It was a disorienting time. But I have been living with a kind human senshi, who has been teaching me as much as she can in a very short period of time. There is also a building in town, with what they call books, where I am learning much more. Sinistra assures me I am having... ah... fun?"

It was interesting as she spoke, everything seemed so mechanical in a way. It was very different than he was used to but if there wasn't much life going on then it would make sense that they weren't used to conversing. "Oh! I think they call it a library. I have poked around at the tomes err.. books they have there a bit. There is so much to learn about this world in there as well as other worlds they enjoy writing about. It's really fun to be honest." Adjusting a bit, he looked at his mechanical arm for a moment and thought. "I learned about all sorts of ways that the humans here repair themselves since they can't regenerate lost limbs. I have yet to meet a human senshi but I have met a few others like us as well as a very friendly and kind cat. She said I would meet the senshi she lives with here soon so I am a bit nervous about meeting a human. I am worried about the expectations I have built up in such a short time since I have been avoiding being seen by others who are not like us."Thinking back to the lake for a moment, he wondered where they had ended up when they arrived. "It was very disorienting for me when I arrived as well and still is a bit but at least we aren't alone in our new experiences in this world right?" He smiled a bit as he thought about all the new things he had seen so far and would see.

"Library, yes," Wezen said, with a nod. The little creatures the man that ran the building brought with him were always a delight to Sam. Dogs, she told her, and Wezen had spent a lot of time looking up dogs before becoming overwhelmed by just how many there were. Going to the internet on her phone, one of her favorite devices that Sinistra, Sam, had gotten for her, had done nothing but expand her curiosity and wonder.
Humans definitely seemed to love their dogs.
She listened curiously, looking at his arm and then back up at him. She was not troubled, though she could sense his nervousness was honest. Blinking, she supposed she had never really had a chance to be nervous about meeting a human: Sinistra was the first person she ran into once she was here, and she had been more than kind.
It was likely unfair to think all humans were like that. She knew from stories Sinistra told her to stories she read on the internet and in the library, especially in the chronicles of their earthen history, that there were likely many 'bad' humans out there. At the very least, senshi were united by their powers, and alignment, but even that seemed shallow at best.
"My human is kind," she said, with a reassuring nod, "I am sure the one you are meeting will be, too. I am not clear on why I know this, but I would not say it if I did not believe it." Wezen nodded her head definitively. "They do seem sensitive to information and opinions, and often cannot distinguish between the two. I am trying to better understand how to not upset them with my speech, but you have a much clearer grasp on it that I do. I believe you will be fine."
She thought about offering him a reassuring smile, but her expression did not change.

Procyon could get used to the way this lady spoke, she was very direct but as they continued he understood a bit more. "Thank you, that really helps. I played a part in a lot of rituals back home and had to mediate for a lot of things." Nodding back at her, he fidgeted his fingers together, lacing organic and inorganic ones together as he had been practicing. "I think you're doing a good job, sometimes I wish I could be a bit more direct but it's been easier to think of talking to people as if it's a dance. Kind of based on how people look and act, but it took a long time to figure it out back home and that is a very different place than here."Looking up at the sky for a moment, he wondered just exactly how far he was away from home. "So what other things have you found cool here? I really like some of the clothes I have seen here, there is so much color on things here. I almost can't decide what I would want to wear once I am able to get things."

Wezen looked curious, if only indicated by the way her eyebrows lifted slightly higher on her forehead than her regular deadpan expression. Beyond that, her face was the same, with only her strangely colored eyes glimmering as she listened with rapt attention.
She would certainly like to learn more about the rituals he mentioned, but Sinistra had once warned her not to trap others in never ending conversations. It was not fair to them, she said, as most would be polite and endure it for as long as their patience lasted. Pushing them that far was, apparently, not approved of. Still, Wezen had a hard time delineating.
At the question, she perked up further.
"I am lucky that my roommate helps me to dress. I find I do not see things the same way the humans do. Or rather I..." she considered her words for a moment, trying to figure out a way to accurately explain it. "I do not attach the same meaning to what I see. I do tend toward the darker colors, which Sinistra does not have many articles of."
"The food," she said, with a definitive nod. She even clenched her hands into fists, thinking about how much she enjoyed eating. It was a brand new experience, and so varied and intriguing: an endless source of delight and wonder. Even the things people told her were 'bad' or she 'might not like' she found herself having visceral reactions to that she enjoyed just for the sake of how new it was.
"For me, it is the eating. We did not do that on my planet, and I had no idea such a complicated system of sustenance could exist. I find it quite enjoyable, and I am trying to experience every different kind of 'taste' that I can. Arranging edible products in different ways results in profoundly different experiences each time: it is a science that captivates me."

Tilting his head at the word she had used, he wondered if he should try finding a roommate himself. It would be nice to have a more permanent living situation. "Ah that sounds really fun, I would find it surprising if we saw things the same way as humans though. I think I like brighter colors but I'm excited to just try all sorts of things together." Thinking about the pastel colors of most of the textiles back home, he wondered about the bolder ones he had seen on the fake humans that were displayed in the windows of the shops on the streets. Ohhhh it was interesting to see a lot more of a reaction from the other as they spoke of food. As they continued it made a bit of sense in a way, even if he didn't quite understand how a planet worked without food. "I would very much like to try more food here, you will have to let me know what kind of things you come up with! There are so many very different types of food here, that I haven't quite figured out where to begin outside of greenery. Maybe you can share some of your favorite types or places you like to go to so I can try them as well? If that is ok miss Wezen?" Pulling his phone out, the one that Illyria had given him, he tapped on it as he tried to navigate how to add someone to it. "Ah, I'm sorry I still don't quite have the hang of technology, we really didn't have things like this back home. Maybe we can add each other and share things we find out?"One day he would figure out more of this tech stuff, especially if he wanted to keep up with others and learn more about this world outside of the books in the library.

Wezen was not sure she could say she was excited to do anything, but only because differentiating between emotions was still impossible for her. She heard Sinistra describing things time and again, but it seemed like a very nebulous concept at best, and most of the time her descriptions were strange and full of references or metaphors that she did not understand. Concepts like excitement or fear or happiness were easy for humans, but for Wezen they were foreign.
Even if she felt them, she did not know it, and she certainly never showed it.
At his interest in food, though, she did perk up a bit. Her expression could not be called a smile, but there was a lighter air around her. Maybe her shoulders did not hang so low.
Her tone continued flatly.
"I will make sure to take notes. It is easiest for me to remember things when I write them down, with how much information and new things are in this world. I will make sure to get the ingredients, as I know how complicated some dishes can be, and then perhaps we can share the ones we experience that are particularly memorable?"
She looked at his phone, then took her own out. At least this came naturally to her: she had an affinity with technology. Probably because her planet had treated all its 'residents' as part of a machine. "Yes, we can add each other. I would be able to send you my notes and thoughts on meals when Sinistra takes me out. Here."
She held out her phone, her phone number and information on the display screen. She had not bothered to commit it to memory, as she felt the technology itself discouraged such things. And she had so many other things to try to remember, she probably needed the brain real estate..
