Wiping the sweat from his brow, Owaen grimaced as he wiped that off on the leg of his pants. Having rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, he wondered why he had worn such a long sleeved thing on a day like this he never knew. "Why did I agree to go and see to the afternoon delivery?" Owaen asked himself as he looked at the leaf of paper in his other hand.

He was on his way to the docks to ensure that the shipments for the tavern were correct and delivered without delay. Glancing at the sky, he noted that it was drawing close to noon, the sun raising to its highest in the clear blue and barely a wind ruffled the still air. This day was going to be the death of him yet. "Mocki, lets hope to make this trip quick and then get back to the tavern." He glanced down at the mint green and brown Duruf that trotted at his side. The canine gave a sneeze for its answer to everything and continued following its companion.

The streets around Owaen, growing closer to the docks, became more crowded. Dock hands moving crates of goods to and fro. Stopping at the top of the docks, he looked down at the ships below and back at the manifest. Well, here goes nothing...

She was leaning against the railing as she watched the seabirds soar over head before diving at what she could only assume to be fish beneath the sea's surface. Resting on the railing beside her was a brightly green colored Sitara, its pink spines almost flashing in the sunshine, its own glowing tail wrapped around the wood for more stability. The lizard like creature only turned its head towards the blue skinned woman as she spoke to it. It wasn't like the Sitara named Spike could reply anyways, but it watched the woman with mild interest.

"I know, you haven't met my parents yet. Or my sisters, brothers." Neryssa paused a moment as she fiddled with the white shell necklace that was still around her neck. "But you will soon enough I am sure." She smiled before glancing over her shoulder, "Right Lygs?"

Attached to her back as always, a black and green markinged, miglardilla shifted to glance upwards. It seemed that both companions knew their names and knew who they were bound to. All the same, there was a respect between the three. Looking back out over the water, Neryssa gave a small sigh before turning around. Not noticing someone was passing behind her, she just about tripped over something small and topple towards the one walking beside it. With a squeak of surprise, Neryssa fell on Owaen as he was walking...

Mocki started barking as a teally skinned woman tumbled into and onto Owaen as they crashed to the ground. Hitting the ground hard on his back, dazed was the last word he would have called it. The back of his head started to pound as he was sure was going to hurt even worse in a few moments.

"What just hit..." Owaen groaned as he tried to sit up, but found that something was holding him pinned to the ground. "Me?" He finished as he finally managed to open his eyes and look up towards the person who sat atop him.

As his vision cleared, he noticed that she was different skinned, though he was quite used to seeing people of many races. Her hair was a slightly darker blue then her skin and bright gold eyes stared back down at him. Well, this was the last thing he thought would happen to him today. Perhaps his luck was just that back...

He had yelped when they fell and she could do not but land atop him. She was face first into his chest as she both landed, this was before she came to her senses quickly and pulled herself sitting up, while she was still sitting on him. She took note that he was a few years younger then she was, well maybe not that much younger.

His orange hair was a bit messy from the fall and dirt that had landed upon it. As the boy started to come around, she sat frozen, her face growing even darker. They just seemed to remain in place, too stunned to do anything, only sound was the strange dog that was barking at her. Shaking her head, Neryssa scurried off the boy and tried to help him up.

"I am so terribly sorry." Neryssa said as she tried pulling the boy up into a sitting position. "I really should look where I am going."

Her thoughts went back to the last time she had knocked someone over. They too had the same light colored skin and orange-ish hair. Was that her destiny? To knock over every male that was light skinned and orange haired? She frowned at these thoughts, thinking back to Torva, one of the first people that she had met when coming to Belrea. Then again, back then she had been fighting with a frightened Lygs...

Speaking of Lygs, the maglardilla has scuttled off Neryssa's back and over towards the dog. Waving its tail in an almost threatening action, making its own series of noises in its own speak. It seemed that they were warning off the dog, but the dog was just not having any of it... "Lygs, stop that." Neryssa shouted as Lygs made a swing towards the dog.

Shaking his head, trying to clear the daze fog from his thinking, Owaen turned his head towards the dog that was barking and the even stranger creature it was facing off against. "Mocki, that is enough." he near shouted as the dog danced away from the one that took a swing towards it.

Owaen looked back towards the girl that had landed upon him as she made a move towards the other critter. Seemed that it was hers, not that he had seen it, or her, with it. After being released from the ground, he rolled over and pulled Mocki back and pick him up, trying to calm him as he did. "Not the introductions I would have ever expected." Owaen tried to joke, before glancing at the woman who was wrangling her own companion. "Seems both our friends aren't on the greatest of terms."

"Lygs rarely acts this way, perhaps it was just startled." Neryssa said as Lygs settled some before scuttling over her shoulder and back into its normal spot on her back. "Oh sorry." She said finally getting off the boy and reached down to help him back to his feet.

"I should really look where I am going. Name's Neryssa."

"Yes, yes, I am alright Mocki. It was just an accident, no need to be this protective." He laughed as he ruffled the Duruf's fur before getting up off the ground. "It a pleasure bumping into you, Neryssa. I'm Owean."

He glanced at the girl, reaching out a hand to help her up off the ground now that her companion seemed calmed down. "It seems that we both have protective companions." He chuckled lightly.

Dusting off her skirt, she peered over her shoulder at Lygs as he seemed to settle down and go into an almost sleep like state. She sighed before looking back towards Owaen. "I think Lygs misses home. We've been away for so long that maybe even I am forgetting what home is." She shrugs a little turning back towards to open waters. "I could see the sea back home too..." She mumbled more to herself then to the boy beside her.

He often wondered what the other lands were like, but then he would just go back to his job. Daydreaming of traveling was something he didn't truly have the luxury to do. Work was work and it was something he had to put his effort into.

"I take it that you live on the mainland?" He asked as he too went to lean on the railing.

Owaen knew he had to be somewhere. There was a letter to be delivered, but he didn't have a timeline to get it to the person. Just had to get it to them before the days end. He could stand here and take a bit of a chat with someone. Surely Mick wouldn't be too upset with him... Right?

"I haven't traveled away from this place. Maybe I can someday, but I am rooted to this place" He said almost sadly. It was a bit of wishful thinking that he could hop onto an airship and go to Tendaji, he had heard it was an interesting place.

Neryssa said as she sighed thinking of home. "My sister and I came to this place for adventure. Not sure where she has gone now. We have kinda gone our own ways." Neryssa's thoughts went to her sister Nadia.

She hadn't seen the woman in what seems like years. She wondered if her sister has found anyone to love. Or was she still just as single as Neryssa herself. These were things that snagged on her mind as memories of her home and past came forward.

"I do wonder if she has returned home." She asked more herself then to anyone else. Mind drifting, she momentarily forgets where she is and that she was talking to someone.

His mother had thought of moving to Zenner to get away from the dark past with his father. He was sure the man was still in prison, where he should remain. Frowning at his own thoughts of his own past, Owaen shook his head. His carrot colored mane of hair ruffling as he did, the wind not helping in the slightest.

"Matori? That sounds like an interesting place. Belrea has it's little quirks. I almost didn't end up living here. Things happened in my youth I am not proud of." He admitted, though it wasn't something he wanted to really talk about. "But if you are looking to sail back to Matori by seas, this will be the place to catch that ride." Owaen said with a small grin.

"Anyways, I have to deliver something to the docks before sundown. You're welcome to join me and see the ships. The tavern I work at is expecting more orders from the mainland soon."

Always got caught, I was never the sneakiest of children. My twin brothers were better." She reminisced over her own youth before realizing that Owaen was moving away.

"You work here? In this town that is." She was perplexed, but figured it was a way to get ones foot into the world. While she was just a traveler, she did do some dancing shows. "Tavern? Wouldn't happen to be that one with the small bird like creature as its mascot. Would it?" she asked as she followed Owaen, after picking up her other small familiar. The lizard wrapping its glowbulb tipped tail around her arm for support.

He had been stealthy in his escapades, but the smashing of bottles and what not had not been quiet. It had been one of the things that had landed him in trouble and to where he was today.

"Lets just say, after my grave mistakes, I was given a more proper education in humility." He commented as Neryssa just stared at him.

He looked away as if he didn't want to speak of it again. He didn't like reliving the worst of himself. The child trying to destroy the things that made his father violent. Shaking his head, he pulled out the letter he had to deliver and look around.

"The house should be around here somewhere." Owaen muttered softly as he looked at the houses that laid close to the staging of the docks.

Peering over his shoulder a little to see just where he was looking for. It wasn't like she knew where everyone lived. But she too started to look around.

"So what are you needing to deliver?" She asked as she stopped a moment to adjust the Sitara in her arms before jogging to catch up. "Something to do with your job I suppose?"

The address on the letter was for one of the houses near the pier. Stopping a moment he looked at the house number and to the letter before looking back up again. That was the number on the address, perhaps this was the place.

"Stay here a moment while I take care of this, shouldn't take too long." He mentions to Neryssa as he trots up the steps to the house.

Knocking on the door a tall man opens the door and looks down at Owaen. The man give a bit of a sniff and takes the letter. Not even given Owaen so much as a thank you he slammed the door closed as the boy backed away quickly.

"Hate delivering those things. The customers always hate paying their tabs and whatever damages they leave me to clean up." Owaen muttered as he drew back to where Neryssa was standing, his hands in his pockets.
