[ The following happens before the opening match of Unforgiven, between King Cyrus Leone and Avari Fusion. ]

A guitar riff cuts out the noise in the arena as the beginning to Black Flame rings out across the arena.
[Black Flame - Bury Tomorrow]
Here I stand, alone, with hate
Here I stand, too long, too late
All I know, is you will leave us all
Here I stand, alone, to fall
Instead of the usual flurry of fireworks, Avari Fusion just steps out on stage to a loud pop from the crowd. Wearing jeans, boots, and a flourishing blue jacket.

The crowd let out a huge cheer for the fan favourite, as he put out his arms in an 'eagle' motion. He stepped to the left of the ramp and beat his chest, hopping over to the right and doing the same.
Oh my Brother, how could you?
Not look into the eyes of your fellow man
Who stood with you, through it all
And feel nothing in your heart but hate
Avari walked out to the edge of the stage, looking over the ramp and at the crowd left and right, who were still buzzing for the spectacle. He held a microphone in his right hand, a look of steely determination etched on his face.
Taking a few moments to soak in the atmosphere, The Man of the Hour slowly rose the microphone to his lips.
"It has come to my attention.. that the World Heavyweight Champion, The Soaring Dragon, has offered an open invitation to the next challenger to the belt he wears firmly around his waist."
Already the jeers began at the mention of the World Champ, clearly the biggest heel that WWFG has seen in years. Avari smirked and continued, his determination showing through; still green in many ways, but he had blooded himself in recent months.
"Look, we all know exactly why he did that. I know it, each and every one if you all know it.. hell, even JR and King know it!"
King: "What do we know, JR?"
JR: "Let the man speak and we might find out, King!"
"Drako Damone offered that invitational.. because he's running from his destiny. Drako lost to my father way back at Backlash in May, and he just hasn't been the same since.
He goes on about defeating this name, that name, somebody, nobody.. damn, the guy acts as if he's bored. But it's all a persona, it's all a mirage, because he's running from The Man of the Hour."
The crowd gave off a loud cheer as Avari looked to continue, still standing on the ramp. He knew he had a match to kick off Unforgiven, and this was going to be a taster on just how much fire he had within him.
"Let's look back since Backlash, shall we? Let's do 'a Drako Damone' and lay out the list of matches we've had. Because I started off against veteran Brantley Summers.. a man who, by all accounts on paper, should have wiped the floor with me. Avari Fusion came out as the winner. This was the quarter final to King of the Canvas, and I stepped up to the next stage.
Next, management put me in the semi finals against up and coming monster Ryback, who was eating his way through the roster. Man, that dude was hungry.. but Avari was too much to swallow, as I came out on top and moved to the final of the tournament.
A triple threat between Cyrus Leone and Dean Johnson was in front of me. A true veteran of the business, and a man who had taken Drako to the limit, and.. well, this one didn't end up in a victory, but we were literally seconds away from winning that tournament.
Hell, not to take anything away from Cyrus, but even he would accept that the Fusion Cutter connecting would have ended that night differently to how it actually ended up going down."
The crowd gave off a respectful cheer and clap at the mention of all of these hard-fought matches.
"After that loss I had to get back on the horse, back on the winning streak. So I defeated Cayden "Duke" Kim.. but let's be honest, that dude has never won a match here, it was a squash to be completely fair.
But I then had the phenomenal Hiro Shin-Mozas, and.. again, Avari Fusion came out on top.
Let's count through that now, shall we? Since Backlash that means The Man of the Hour has four wins and just a single loss! Hell, even the WWFG website ranks me as the top contender for the World Heavyweight Championship!
But somehow.. somehow.. Cartwright allows Drako to avoid this confrontation, to let him keep his title for a while longer, and to keep him away from me. He's now allowed there to be a triple threat to determine the number one contender.
That brings us full circle to right now, to Unforgiven. Fate has put me up against King Cyrus again.. and trust me, I won't make the same mistakes again. Avari Fusion will come out on top.
The Dragon continues to run from his destiny.
There is nothing in this world that can stop me from becoming.. World.. Heavyweight.. Champi-"
