Her mother died shortly after childbirth due to a weakened immune system- one doctor even said it was a miracle she managed to have Kiera's two older brothers as well without dying. This sent her father into a sharp downward spiral. The man began heavily drinking, and as old as Kiera was old enough to remember, treated her terribly. Her brothers tried to shield her from the abuse when possible, although of course they couldn't protect her from everything. When her eldest brother moved out, he'd take her out often so she'd be away from home. On one such day, there was a car accident- her brother died, but Kiera didn't have a scratch on her. Her father became exponentially worse that day, even attacking her, until he suddenly stopped and left. Kiera was confused, until men came back with him. Turns out, he decided to sell her into slavery rather than "deal with her" anymore. Kiera had been a slave for a few years now, seemingly cursed with bad luck wherever she went, barely avoiding dying on accidents several times and being blamed for said accidents. She has been bought and sold many times over at this point. Personality: Kiera is quiet and soft-spoken, easily embarrassed, almost timid but not quite. She expects the worst from others, but hopes for the best- usually ending up disappointed, but she wants to believe in people. However, Kiera is quite traumatized, often flinching at sudden movements. She takes a while to come out of her shell, but she can be a fierce defender of anyone she cares about, seemingly overcoming her issues for the sake of others occasionally. Biography: Anna, like many of her fellow slaves, was born into it- her mother was a slave as well. When she was considered old enough, she was sold to an elder woman, who raised her and had her learn to sing and play many instruments to entertain her and friends she had visit, even making her perform occasionally at formal events. Luckily, Anna enjoyed such work. However, when her mistress died, she was sold... and things got harder. In one home, she was involved in an accident, which resulted in the loss of one of her legs below the knee, and she was considered 'damaged goods' as a result- no longer a luxury slave. Due to her new requirements, she has yet to be kept long by anyone.
Personality: Although Anna can be reserved at first, she's not shy in the least when she gets comfortable with the people around her. She's very chatty and friendly, often making puns when the opportunity arises.... however, she can have a temper, and isn't afraid to let others know when she's angered.
