While the stores had already plastered up most of the Halloween decor (minus the one Tarjay that had Christmas stuff out and about), the people were still dressed for the Season. It was sweltering in Destiny City this year! The little refugee from the heat on his mountain top called Mocona's name, tempting him to just turn away from the city and these nonsense patrols.
Buuuut nope. Something something about obligations, and something something about 'no, we can't get married until you are strong enough to protect yourself had him trudging through the swampy heat. What he wouldn't give to be one of these normal shop workers... Sure, they were slaving away at the shelves, but atleast they had AC!
A turn around another dark corner, And there it went. The little not-so-spidey-sense of another one like him nearby. Huh, Hawara was right. If you really did just wander about,you'd eventually see *someone*. Just how many of them were there? She was right across the way, and he waved a hand, *after* searching for security cameras like Hawara told him.
"Howdy there, miss---Uh... Pardner?" Was missy too assuming the little one's age? He'd been told off before for being too casual during these little moments, but formality was never his strong suit.
"Are you uh... I mean, your lil fuku there is very charmin! But it ain't quite the season for Halloween... Ahahahaaa..." This was way more awkward than the Christmas Child. Maybe the heat was getting to him.

Shedir has been so happy lately. It probably was because of all the Halloween items popping up everywhere. It was like a dream come true. She could see spiders, ghosts, pumpkins, cobwebs, and all she had to do was walk through a nearby store. She had already bought a few items and was planning on making her house look spooky. She couldn't wait until the day of Halloween arrived. All these shop displays were making her patrol harder. It was like they all dragged her to them, and she couldn't fight it.
"No I must patrol," she said quietly to herself as she shook her head. She knew she meant what she said since on her last patrol she ended up with her taking two giant bags of Halloween stuff home. She could not have this patrol end up the same way her last patrol did.
As she turned to continue she looked across the street and saw someone waving at her. She didn't have any clue who they were, but they seemed friendly enough. So she waved back and walked closer to them. "Well hello there, I'm Shedir - Senshi of Mummies. It's nice to meet you!" she said kindly. She had never been called Missy before but she didn't mind.
She couldn't help but laugh at his comment. Her outfit was a little different, but in her eyes, Halloween was a year-round thing. "Well thank you - I might be a little strange but I think Halloween can be all year round if you let it." She smiled at her words and knew it was true. If this person only saw her bedroom he would realize Halloween was more a lifestyle choice for her than anything.

"Well, there ain't no shame in that! We all got things we love. Why, iffin' I had a chance, I'd have everythin' sunflowers and autumn colors 365! 'Specially up in the mountains, on the hill side? They are all gorgeous, ain't they?" Ah, being a senshi explained it. They really did have all sorts of magical powers, didn't they? Not like the Pages who had to serve another and kinda sucked the life out of their planets... or something like that.
"I'm Mocona, Page of Chronos. Just doin a little bit of Patrolin' trying to figure things out. Now, I ain't exactly new here, but between you and me, lil' Missy, I been slackin'. I got my wifey naggin' me about getting magic... But you know, sometimes us Adults got too much to do, workin and payin bills..." Why was he ranting to this kid? No idea. But sometimes one just had to vent a bit. It would be rude to just focus on himself for too long though, so he waved a hand towards the little senshi.
"I reckon you said somethin' about Mummy's? What sorta power is that? Yah turn people into your like, thralls or somethin?"

Shedir thought for a minute and imagined sunflowers everywhere. She imagined it would be beautiful, bright, and very yellow. If one added the autumn color to it, she might be able to handle it. Her mother, on the other hand, would love a place like that. She would have to consider taking her to the mountainside sometime; she was sure she would love a sight like he was describing. While she wasn’t sure how she felt about the brightness, she could understand someone loving it. "We all love what we love, that’s for sure. That does sound beautiful! A little bright for me, but honestly, I bet it’s a magical sight!"
When she finished her sentence, she was curious about what a page was. She had never met one before. Well, that was until now. This guy did seem a little different when he talked about life things, which was different for her. Even her best friend tended to wait to talk about life until she was non-magic. Honestly, though, she didn’t mind; it was refreshing.
"Well, it is important to train and get stronger! I do get real-life things getting in the way, though; I have to help my parents out a lot with shopping and decorating our business. It can make patrolling harder," she said with a smile. Her family was all in everything together, except magic, of course; that was all her. She shook her head at the thought and smiled at his comment.
"That’s right, and well, it’s easier to show you than tell you!" She said it happily, like a kid in a candy store, as she backed up. "Mummy Wraps - prepare," she said, as her bandages began to glow. "Would you like to show me your abilities too? Maybe we could train together for a bit?

"See, now that's what's fun about it! Cuz you get like yer yellows and yer oranges, but then you get really really dark, deep. purple sunflowers too, or almost black. That's why you sometimes see sunflowers along all them Halloween decorations. Cuz the lil guys like to be edgy sometimes too." The idea of edgy flower had him laughing at his own joke, maybe thinking about how silly it would be to give a bouquet of those sunflowers to someone. Maybe if he could grow them himself, it'd be more of a solid idea. Buuuut so far, not quite in his skilllist.
Mocona nodded along, listening to the little one's every word. Good to know she seemed like a decent kid, and not a terrible brat whom just wanted to fight everyone. Then again, she looked pretty young, so maybe when puberty hit, she'd be all sorts of out there.
Fingers crossed she grew up to be just yer average teen.
"Mummy wraps? Well, if we're wrappin' up things, Let me show you my power!" He stuck out his hand, and in a little flash of light, a 6ft length of silk rope with a soft weight at one end appeared there. Not quite a lasso, but if he figured it out more, maybe it would be.
"I got this here rope weapon. Good for hog tyin' up enemies. So if you gotta wrap up enemies, and I gotta wrap them up.. How about we see who get get who first! Do you get lasso'ed or do I get mummafied! Good target practice I think. Make it a lil contest! Winner gets... I dunno, the title of wrappin' master."

Hearing about the edgy flowers made her laugh. She never thought flowers could be edgy, but if they could they were her type of flower! She got her stance steady as she got ready for his attack. She was a little confused as she saw silk rope, but one thing she had learned being a senshi was never to under estimate your opponent. Since even the weird of weapons could pack a punch.
She didn’t quite know what hog tying is, but she knew for a fact that she definitely had anyone beat when it came to wrapping. After all one things mummies were good at were wrap things up! “That sounds good to me! I’m aiming for the top no matter what though!” she said as she quickly throws her arms out in front of her.
“Mummified Phoenix – let’s show him what we’ve got!” she yelled! Then her mummy bandages begin to start glowing brighter, and her magical mummy bandages begin to unravel. Then it shot straight towards him. Mummified Phoenix As it heads directly towards the enemy. If the attack hits it binds the enemy in a stronger mummified bond. She can do this two times per battle. Distance travel possible is 12 ft. Now this attack can be stopped: the bandages will lose strength if they are attacked. Depending on how many attacks/how strong the attack. If no one attacks them then the bandages could last longer, but if they are attacked the bandages could lose strength or just begin falling off.

Once he saw the lil lady get into position, he too took a kinda defensive stance. He said kinda because honestly, he wasn't a fighter, more of a wrestler. He wasn't some light on his feet dancer type like some of the senshi he had seen before. If anything, he was a wall, sturdy and hard to move.
But that also meant he was an easy target at times, and dodging the wraps was an absolute no. Instead he tried to swing the wraps up with his little rope tie. The contact was made, entangling them both. "Nice shot!"
For the most part, his weapon was kinda useless now, completely stiff, making it more like a long stick than the movable silk he had before. Then an idea sprung to mind, and he started to rush towards the senshi, waving that 6ft pole of a silk he had now at her, then swinging it at her legs. "Hyaaah!"

Shedir was so excited when her wraps made contact. In her eyes no matter the opponent. When you can make the first attack hit, it can really make a difference in a battle or spar. She smiled when she heard the compliment and almost let it get to her head. When she noticed him beginning to charge at her. He looked like he was ready to take her down, but she was not going to let that happen. She quickly stepped back and attempted to take him by surprise. She attempted to jump and dodge, but instead ended up failing. She wound up getting her legs hit and she fell to the ground. "Nice one yourself," she said from the ground.
She was not going to let this one bad dodge stop her though. She quickly got back up, jumped backwards a little bit away from him, and she was determined to finish what she had started. She took a deep breath, and with a slight wince of pain yelled, "Mummy Wraps attack!"
With that her mummy bandages began to start glowing again and then magical bandages extended from them. They began once again heading towards her opponent. She was never going to admit it, but that last hit was a tough one. So in her mind she needed to just try to get out any attack she could. Mummy Wraps This attack will last no more than 20 seconds. She can do this three times per battle. Distance travel possible is 8 ft. this attack can be stopped: the bandages will lose strength if they are attacked. Depending on how many attacks/how strong the attack. If no one attacks them then the bandages could last longer, but if they are attacked the bandages could lose strength or just begin falling off.

Immediate worry filled up Mocona's heart the moment the girl tumbled back. While he wanted to go over and help her up and make her neat and tidy again, he held back. He was told before that the Negaverse would never hold back when it came to senshi, no matter if they were just little children. A Senshi was a Senshi, and they wanted them destroyed.
So he couldn't hold back. That was for her own sake... And so when the attack came again, he did his best to dodge it, The bands grabbed his legs, tangling them up, and he was paused for a bit, only to tear them apart with his hands. It seemed like this was alteast a good enough sign that should this little one actually be in danger, she could escape with enough of a detraction.
"I think, technically speaking, you won, lil missy!" He grunted as he tried to pull the bandages off a bit more and free his legs from one another. "You got me all tied up!"

Shedir did a small cheer at his words. She was so happy she was able to fight back like she did. She had honestly impressed herself today during this battle. Part of her didn't honestly think that she could win against someone so much bigger than her. It got her thinking though that if she could fight like this, maybe she stood a chance against some stronger Negaverse agents.
She shook her head out of her thoughts and walked over to Mocona. She quickly attempted to help get the rest of her bandages off them. Since after all he had gotten all tied up because of her.
"Well I'm glad I was able to show you who the wrappin' master was," she said with a slight laugh as she watched the last of the bandages fall off. She stood back up and smiled as she gathered up the bandages and gave a small bow. "Thank you for the challenge," she said kindly. That was when she heard her phone ring in her pocket, and it wasn't her senshi phone. This time it was her non-magical phone and her mother was calling. She looked at the time but nothing came to find. Was she forgetting something?
"I am so sorry to fight and run but I have to run," she said as she put her phone in her pocket. She planned to call her mother back as soon as she transformed back. Before she left she turned and spoke, "Next time I see you though maybe we can spar again! This battle was awesome!" With that she waved and raced off. Since if her mother was calling she must have forgotten about something.

"Yes, I've definitely been humbled by your might!" Mocona was so very endeared by this child and her cheerfulness. On the one hand, he worried for her against all this chaos and craziness in the city, but she showed him outright that she knew what she was doing! And the only thing she could do now was to get even stronger!
In a way, he felt a little pride at that, giving her a little pat on the head when finally freed. "Any time. If you see me out and about again, maybe we can go youma huntin' and get some even more practice in. I know if you got my back, kiddo, we can kick all the butts."
Oh, he knew that face all too well. Time to get on home! And it was about time he headed back to pick up the wifey from work too.
"Take care out there, lil missy! And get some good sleep when you do!" Mocona gave a good ol wave before hopping back up to his feet. Alright, time for that long hike back to his car... Whever he parked it.
