Imogen was born in Helheim but she did not remain there long, for her mother wasn’t someone of strong maternal instincts. So, she was sent to the mortal plane to be raised by her father who was a respectable man that worked as a Historian at a museum. It always caused her to wonder how he and her mother got together and why she’d chosen him. Growing up, Imogen knew who her mother was, her father made sure she knew. On rare occasions her mother would make an appearance, usually on her birthday with some form of gift from Helheim. For her tenth birthday, her mom gave her a celestial bronze blade and her mother pushed her father to enroll her into archery lessons, fencing and proper swordplay.

Her father abide her mother’s wishes. Growing up in Ireland it wasn’t completely out of the norm as an extracurricular but Imogen didn’t exactly try to fit in with her peers. She kept to herself and was often found with her nose in a book, inside the school rather than on the playground. When teachers would force her outside, she’d take the book with her and find a quiet place where she could read in peace and quiet. When she got to Secondary School her distaste for her peers didn’t change very much. Their distaste for her only grew as they’d shove her so that she’d drop her books or whatever she was carrying or verbally assault her in the girls’ washroom. Until one day the verbal assaults became physical. As Imogen laid on the ground, battered and curled up, her powers surfaced.

A large flame formed in the center of the bathroom. Out of it stepped a large wolf-like creature. She later learned it was a small version of Fenrir. It mauled the three girls to death before it disappeared. Their death couldn’t be pinned on Imogen as it was clearly an animal attack based on the injuries. Imogen also lost consciousness and her second ability kicked in; her body became cold to the touch and the people that took away the bodies of her peers, took hers as well. Her skin was ice cold to the touch, her heart beat undetectable unless you were using an E.C.G, at which point it would still be slow and faint.

When Imogen came to, it was in a body bag and she scared the living daylights out of the coroner and herself. Her father was called, although the hospital was reluctant to let her leave until she’d been under surveillance to make sure that her heart wouldn’t give out again as they suspected it would. She insisted that she was fine and begrudgingly the hospital let her leave. When she finally returned to school, her peers gave her a wide berth, blaming her for the death of the three girls despite the lack of proof. The police obviously had questions for her but she feigned amnesia for the incident, and with her father pushing back against the officers that it was clear a beast did it, they were forced to buy into her lies.

Imogen pushed through Secondary School, focusing on her schooling and getting the hell out of there. During her time at home after her powers surfaced, her mom visited a bit more frequently than before, but Imogen quickly discerned it was to see how her powers were evolving. And to make sure that she was learning to control them. Imogen got quite good at summoning her Wolf from Helheim and she gave her dad a near heart attack multiple times as she practiced her powers to make her seem dead.

When Imogen was finally free of Secondary School she attended Oxford University to become a lawyer. Her mother knew how to find her and made sure to keep her apprised of the goings on in the world of the Gods. Despite their strange relationship, her mother and father are the only people she truly cares for. After getting her law degree and securing herself a job at a large law firm, she has started to help her mother with some requests. In return, some of her superiors would mysteriously die and she would move up the chain of command.

Imogen has worked to start reminding people of the respect and fear that they should bequeath her mother. Of course, not in an obvious manner. She has unleashed her variant of Fenrir upon some families at the park, let him loose in the subways, all to instill fear and remind them of the loyalties they owe. Already there has been an undercurrent in the dark web of Hel unleashing Fenrir upon humanity. Although Hel’s targets are unclear and appear to be focused around New York.

All the while Imogen is at the top of her game as a lawyer. While she has earned herself the nickname of ‘Ice Queen’ from her colleagues as a result of her cold demeanor and the chill of the air that always seemed to follow her. Imogen aims to maintain the ruse that she is completely separate and uninvolved in the Wolf attacks across New York City, while getting her mother the respect that she deserves.
