“Captain Wolframite,” Jet called down the hall to get the other’s attention. There was cautious friendliness in his voice as he quickened his steps to cross the distance between himself and the Captain.
It didn’t matter to him what the Captain was doing in the castle. Maybe he was submitting a report, or dropping off his energy quota, or maybe checking in with the Queen. Maybe Axinite had cookies to share with him. Or maybe Wolframite was just visiting with some others. Jet wasn’t really one to pry, as long as there didn’t seem to be any distress.
Unlike when he went out into the city, Jet didn’t bother suppressing his energy. There were other General Sovereigns in the castle, so it wasn’t as though it was unusual. Besides, it was easier for people to find him like this, if they needed him for anything.
“I was told you got back recently. Wanted to check and make sure you have everything you need. Oh, sorry, I don’t bake like Axinite though,” he made an apologetic face as he tried to assess what the Captain was thinking.
He was a traitor, was a thought that crossed Jet’s mind.
The Queen gave him another chance.
And where the Queen offered mercy, so would he. Wolframite had every chance to leave and never come back to Destiny City, but here he was.
“Do you have an office? Or do you need help getting in touch with anyone?” he offered, trying to think of what he might need after being away for so long.
There was another pause, and he realized that, despite having occasionally worked along side the Captain in missions, there was a chance that he didn't know who he was.
"Jet," he offered, just in case.

Wolframite knew the feeling of General Royalty. It was far more present these days then they had been when he left Headquarters to go on his assigned mission. The presence of several of them had come and gone like beacons among the other dots all around him. In Headquarters, the power signatures became white noise, and he left himself to just soak in the overall warming auras all around him in the busy hive around him.
He had been dropping off a energy quota that evening when he heard the voice call to him. Surprised, as many did not know his name, let alone called to him, he turned.
The moment he realized he was in the presence of a General King, he straightened up at attention and did a curt, bow. Not as deep as one he kept for the Queen, but still a bow. "Sir." He said to him before standing up straight again.
"I am back unless assigned elsewhere, but I was told I wouldn't be doing that at the moment. That I should be here for some time.
"I do not have an office. I'm only a Captain, and tend to be out on patrol most times. I'm working on a team at the moment, but am trying to refresh myself on the comings and goings and who is unassigned. I've - been out of touch with everything." Isolated was more liked it as the mission was one promoting secrecy and a small group of agents in a distant place.
He took the offered name. "It is nice to meet you, General King Jet." He said.
"i - don't have much in the way of plans at the moment." He unfortunately had to report.

Jet wasn’t sure if he would ever get used to the bowing and being addressed by his rank. For a long time he insisted that he was just Jet. But that seemed to dishonor the Queen’s faith in him. And letting her, and Metallia, down was one of the worst things he could imagine.
“A common misconception, I’ve discovered,” Jet shared, seemingly proud to be able to pass along some information that seemed to sneak past a lot of others. “Captains and Senshi of the same rank can apply for office space. We’ve got tons, and we’re looking at expanding once we get some more of the castle cleaned up. A lot of the training rooms that aren’t ever used can easily be converted into a hall of offices.”
Oh, maybe he was a little too enthusiastic about getting the castle cleaned up and space set aside for everyone who wanted some.
He knew the memory of those who had been brought back into the Negaverse after betraying them could be… patchy at best. And it wasn’t as though they’d spoken to each other one on one when the Queen had summoned them during the arrival of the Velencians.
They were two of the thirteen summoned by the Queen.
Only twelve of them were left, as far as he was aware.
“Make sure you stop by General King Axinite’s office to get some cookies to pass around to your team. If you need help getting in touch with them, I can help reach out to them if you’d like. As for not having any plans? Don’t worry about it too much. You’ve had a long mission and should get used to how things are.”

"I don't know what I'd do with a office for now, considering I'm not sure who I have recruited is even on my team anymore. They were reassigned. I'll need to see who I can gather to even have an office to be a continuous location to find me." He had a sort-of office before, but it hadn't been anything much. Having a room might be a good thing to clear out and just keep on paper, even if it was just for people to drop off letters if he wasn't around.
"I'd rather go right into working. I'm not much the type to be too idle, and while I'm doing the basic demands of my rank, I don't like doing the bare minimum. if there is anything currently being tasked or at the forefront of your concerns, I'd appreciate hearing about them." He said as he looked with the genuine hope that he could continue on to some new assignment or mission.
Despite finally being back home, back in the city, back in the continent, he still felt anxious when he wasn't placed on some new direction.
Then again, it was about time he started something anew. He'd done a few things here and there, but it had been some time since them. If he was going to continue to prove his devotion and desire to be of service, he'd have to make his own work and take some initiative.
"I don't recall meeting a General King Axinite......I heard there are several new royalty at the moment."

“Reassigned?” Jet frowned, his brows furrowing a little with confusion and concern. He would have to check with the other Sovereigns and the Queen, but from his understanding, it was his responsibility to have agents assigned as necessary, and for those kinds of concerns to be brought to either him or the Queen. Maybe it was done shortly after Wolframite started his mission, but anything after that…? Probably a misunderstanding.
“Give me a list of their names and I’ll make sure they’re assigned back to you,” he said with what he hoped was an encouraging nod.
“Ah, I know you’ve seen Axinite -- and the others -- even if you haven’t spoken to them,” he insisted with his arms crossed conversationally over his chest. “General Queen Hessonite, and General Kings Axinite and Lepidolite were all with Queen Laurelite when we were summoned for our mission with the aliens two years ago. Axinite is the one with the orange hair. I wouldn’t say they’re new. They’ve been around for nearly a decade.”
A little over seven years, if Jet was going to reveal just how much of an impact General King Axinite in particular had on him.
“General King Faustite was recently promoted. He’d be the newest. Unless you’re talking about the White Moon. There have been a few Princesses springing up, but I don’t think it’s anything we can’t handle. But be careful out there, regardless. Ida, Lysithea, and Cybele have all been reported as having new power. Ganymede is still prevalent as well. There have been a number of traitors. New alien Senshi,” he added with a grimace. There were way too many aliens to deal with now.

"It was just one, but I don't want to cause any issues. I know I'm not a General yet and that my status of being away and unavailable does not help the one I was training to grow. I can understand the reasoning, but I had hoped I could continue having them with me." He had claimed him ages ago and he didn't feel right in the stomach to see the officer elsewhere.
"I'm sorry. My memory isn't good sometimes. Sometimes - my mind gets a bit .......fragmented." He admitted. "It's gone back and forth."
The result of purification and youmafied corruption had done a lot with his mind. Sometimes he would wake up expecting to be in a different place but then when he tried to recall what house, it was gone. Just a strange feeling that the bed he was in was different somehow - and yet wasn't. Had always been that way. Sometimes he powered up on patrol and got lost in thought, before looking at his reflection with a spike of a rushing heartbeat to calm down at seeing it black and not white.
Sometimes, he heard a different name call to him. Some days it was Wolframite. Some days it wasn't - and he'd feel himself go into a cold sweat as the wind played tricks.
"I've been away a while and sometimes I forget things." The time in the wilderness had been a whole different lifestyle and realm of survival. A lot of the concerns of the every day were gone and left to a basic routine of traveling, camping, and hunting. Over and over for months well over a year.
"I wouldn't want to bother a General King just for some cookies."

“No, don’t apologize,” Jet quickly reassured him. “I’m sorry if I said anything that made you feel like you’re being judged for your memory. I’m not doing that at all. I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s like to lose your memory like you have. But for what it’s worth, I’m glad you’re on our side of things.”
The Queen trusted Wolframite, and unless he was told otherwise, he would trust Wolframite as well.
“We’ll make sure you’re caught up with everything, so if you ever feel like you’re forgetting something, feel free to talk to me and I’ll make sure you know without it being a big deal. Because it’s not. I promise,” he insisted, and nodded in understanding again.
“I’ll see what I can do. If it’s someone you’ve worked with before, then it would make sense for them to continue working with you. Especially if it’ll help with any lapse in your memory.”
Someone who knew him would be the best choice.
“Trust me. Axinite loves unloading cookies on people. And he takes requests, too, if you prefer something else. Baking is like a stress relief for him, but he can’t eat it all, so he just brings it in for everyone else. He would be thrilled to catch up with you.”

"Then, if it isn't a bother to them, I'll report over and - lighten the load." He always felt like it was a bit of a bother to go see a General Royalty without a reason. Aside from the few times he would see Zink, he often didn't speak to them. There was a guilt there, he was sure, of taking any more of there time. A permanent chip on the shoulder he couldn't fill - wouldn't allow himself to fill.
"May I ask - are there specific departments or - things each one of you primarily focuses on from one another?" He wasn't sure if, outside of their shared responsibilities, if they had split up the work amongst them in certain ways.

“Well, just remember that if you’re ever in doubt, General King Axinite does pretty much everything,” Jet shared with a small smile. It was partially in amusement, and partially in exasperation. He knew for a fact that Lepidolite and Hessonite usually dumped their problems on Axinite, who was too responsible for his own good.
The man definitely needed a vacation.
“I’ve been helping Queen Laurelite keep an eye on the General Operatives. New recruits, going out on patrol to collect energy and engage any enemy threats. Jack of all trades kind of thing.
“Then there’s the Intelligence branch, which is headed by General King Axinite. I believe General King Faustite is helping out with that as well. Collecting information on individuals, organizing data and files, surveying anyone who might be good for recruitment.
“General King Lepidolite is over the Infiltration Branch. Media, politics, maintaining a positive image. He runs a school and helped get our medical center set up with his organization.
“General Queen Hessonite is in charge of Special Operations. They train for fighting the enemy and any other threats.”
He paused finally and offered Wolframite a sympathetic smile. “I hope that covers most of it. But if you want more details without me talking your ear off, there should be information in your tablet.”

"I appreciate it. Thank you." He said, still at attention but softening the stance a little.
"I was actually wondering - if it was possible to find out who might have connections to a part time job with flexible hours. Someone who might be in our network to understand my situation and limitations. My glamour works only for a couple of hours, but I'd like to work on saving a little bit now that I'm back." There were improvements to the house he needed to do, not to mention just general things he'd like to be able to offer Laven.
"You wouldn't happen to know anything about that?"

“General King Lepidolite would probably be the best starting point. He has a lot of information on various points of interest in the city, and doing that requires making sure officers are working undercover. But he also probably has ideas about what job availability there is at the school or medical center,” Jet hummed thoughtfully as he thought about the best direction Wolframite could take.
“If, for some reason, he can’t help, General King Axinite would definitely be able to help figure things out. Most approvals end up going through his desk, anyway. Mostly because he needs to know what’s going on with everyone. He makes house calls too, you know.”
Really, Axinite did too much for everyone.
“And if all else fails, I’m sure we could figure out something that will work for you.”

"That's great to know. I - have been a bit avoidant for a time about the second life most people enjoy. I don't have memory of that part of my life anymore. I do well enough going to the store or a restaurant, but that's about it." He wasn't feral, but he had a few part time jobs that left him struggling to come up with conversation or giving answers that made sense. Even basic questions could be hard when you didn't live a normal lifestyle.
"Is there - anything you have that you need help with?" He asked, seeing as he was one to help where he could.

Jet pressed his lips thoughtfully together as he took a moment to think about Wolframite’s offer to help with something.
“I know it’s difficult, not being able to live as a normal human. Maybe you could help me by compiling a list of projects we could all work on to make living in the Dark Kingdom more enjoyable? I like to think that one day we can be sustainable to everyone who lives here.”
He knew it would be a lot of work, but this place used to be a whole kingdom. Surely they had the barebones of where to start. They just needed some motivation to get things in motion.

This proposition did have his interest. When living in the Negaverse, there was a long time where both Wolframite and Laven had lived in the barracks. It was temporary housing, but as such, it wasn't suited for the members like half-youma or officers in a very bad situation who might need a more long-term solutions. Then again, it was incentive to keep as many officers to find a home in Destiny city and not strain the resources of the Headquarters. However, he could see some situations where it was just needed, or just to have communal areas that more officers who talk and meet each other. There were a few agents he met who had a hard time finding other officers to plan patrols with, and having a space could be useful.
"I'd be interested in helping. Seeing as I already went through the process with Laven to create a home in the Negaverse, it takes a lot to complete a home in the old ruins. It would be nice if there was a communal spot for officers to hang out and meet each other. Someplace more relaxed to build community." He thought out loud. "I'd be happy to check on officers and see what they might most want but - ...." He looked out a moment before back at the General King.
"It's a pity. Isn't it? That the Moon scorched the lands and kingdom to be like this. It would be nice if we could make it back to the brilliant kingdom it was. I wonder if there is any way to reverse that magic." When he looked out of their windows at home to the landscape, he couldn't help but feel that pain and hurt in imaging in how the kingdom probably once was. Could it not be beautiful again?

“What the Moon Kingdom did to Earth is unforgivable, but we’re doing our best to make things right again. I’m glad you understand how things were,” Jet said with a nod.
There were still plenty of officers who didn’t understand why they were gathering energy, and didn’t seem to care to ask. Yes, Metallia needed it. Because their world needed it. Without it, how would they ever try to undo the wrongs that had been committed?
“I look forward to hearing back from you once you gather some information. I’ll work on my side of things to gather resources. I’m sure we’ll come up with a way to make things better. For everyone,” Jet offered a smile of encouragement, and then lifted a hand to bid farewell for now.
“I’m available whenever you need me. Take care.” MoonKitsune Fin? Sorry, I dreamed I responded to this!
