The lights dim down as System begins to play over the PA. Smoke rolls in and rolls down the ramp. On the titantron, video begins to play, showing highlights of Marcus gaining wins over the likes of Goldberg and his father, mixed with images of a cabin, a figure in shadow screaming, and a cabin in dark woods. Now there's the added image of his new partner
You fell away
What more can I say
The feelings evolved
I won't let it out
I can't replace your screaming face
Feeling the sickness inside
Flames spring up on the stage just before two figures step out on stage, Marcus followed by Blaze Damone. The two stand on the stage, the flames continuing to spout up in spurts around them.
Why won't you die?
Your blood in mine
We'll be fine
Then your body will be mine
Finally the two Damones step forward, beginning the trip down the ring as the title belts are just able to be made out around their waists.
"Making their way to the ring, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at a combined weight of 580 pounds, they are the WWFG Tag Team champions, the Syndicate!!!"
The two reach the end of the ramp and stop, their gaze focused on the ring. Finally Marcus turns and heads up the stairs, smoke blowing up and obscuring him from view almost completely. Blaze, meanwhile, grabs the tope rope and steps up onto the apron, then into the ring over the top rope

The lights come up as Marcus steps out of the smoke and onto the apron to enter the ring through the ropes. Now in the ring, he removes the coat and hands it to an attendant outside, with Blaze following suit

As the music begins to fade, the two Damones stand in their corner, awaiting the arrival of their opponents. They hand the belts off to the referee to hang above the ring

The crowd would watch idly for just a moment as the coveted tag titles were carried aloft by a cable high above the ring, before Mitch Hetfield screamed across the PA system: Gimme fuel,
Gimme fire,
Gimme that which I desire,
Ooh!With the last sound, fireballs burst up from the stage, "The Savage Sons" appearing on the titantron as the audience popped loudly with enthusiasm and praise! The fans knew this was a moment of redemption for the pair, and were eager to see vengeance had against The Syndicate for their recent borrowed troubles! Stepping out onto the stage, pyro continued to belch from the stage in sequence reminiscent of a combustion engine while Salem and Erynys posed for their audience! Yeah!
Turn on... I see red!
Adrenaline crash and crack my head!
Nitro junkie, paint me dead!
And I see red!Descending the ramp en route to the ring, the pair warmly embraced fans along the barricades, but their focus on Blaze and Marcus didn't waiver even as they stopped for selfie or high-fives, their attention inevitably returning to the pair waiting for them! One hundred plus through black and white!
War horse, ******** 'em man, white-knuckle tight!
Through black and white!Circling the ring, Salem continued making a quick path around the barriers to thank their fans in attendance while Erynys ascended the steps nearest the foot of the ramp, representing them first on the canvas! Once his trio was finished, Salem would roll in alongside his partner, popping up to his feet as the pair stood across from Marcus and Blaze, the chorus of their song playing through as the Savage Sons tested the ropes and wiped their feet on the canvas! On I burn!
Fuel is pumping engines,
Burning hard, loose and clean!
And on I burn,
Churning my direction!
Quench my thirst with gasoline!"...and their opponents, consisting of the "German Gladiator", Erynys Reich! "Showtime" Salem Croft! They are the SAVAGE SONS!"
With the introduction, both men raised a fist to cheers from the stands, making a final gesture to the crowd before once again facing off with their opponents positioned across the squared circle! Checking that both teams were ready, the referee would call for the bell, the clamor of anticipation growing even louder as the opening signal was given, chiming throughout the arena!
DING, DING, DING!

the champions stand side by side, watching as the challengers make their way to the ring. Marcus and Blaze are more than ready for the match, though to the crowd they appear stoic and almost uninterested except for their gaze being locked on the challengers. The bell rings and the two simply remain standing and watching the challengers

As the music faded and the match began, Reich entered the ring and fixed his attention on the belts that were suspended high above the ring. He then let his gaze slowly drift to the champions who were standing opposite them and as his eyes flickered from one to the other, he raised his fists and dared one of the Damones to step forward.

Seeing Erynys square up, Salem took the initiative, boldly walking right up to Marcus and Blaze and stopping a couple feet from them. Though they were taller, Salem's eyes appeared harder than stone, not an ounce of fear as he looked between them.
"I still love you guys." he said solemnly, remembering seeing the pair grow up in younger years, and training with them in more recent ones. "But this is how it's gotta be. So let's have at it, yeah?"

Marcus and Blaze do have one advantage, not only have they grown up together, being raised in the same very large household, but they trained together from the moment they decided to enter the family business. So they don't even need to exchange a look as they move in sync, Marcus aiming to kick Salem in the gut as Blaze aims to do the same with Erynys, which both would follow up with uppercuts to the jaw

The kick to the gut and the following uppercut made him bend over before he was sent flailing back briefly. He massaged his jaw and set it as he narrowed his eyes and locked to retaliate with a superkick to the Blaze's head.

His gesture of respect refused, Salem was kicked in the gut and struck under the chin with an uppercut, sending him staggering back to the ropes! Though Erynys seemed to be standing his ground, Salem would take advantage by letting himself go through the ropes and onto the floor outside, where he could find something suitable to use!

Time to split things up, which is just find with the boys. Marcus heads out after Salem, looking to catch him with a body shot to the ribs.
Meanwhile, Blaze looks to catch the superkick from Erynys, then shove him to the mat and drop an elbow across his face. The champs clearly have a plan in the early going to simply brawl their way through it

It had been a long shot with the kick and he was forced to hop on one foot as it was intercepted and he was shoved down to the mat. Before he could recover, he was met with a elbow dropped into his face, causing him to grab and writhe in pain. This wasn't exactly how he was looking to start the match and he hoped that Salem had a better plan in mind.

Salem took the clubbing fist to his ribs, stumbling towards the ringside barricade and wincing! Unable to watch Erynys, Salem coughed and hunched over the railing, seeing the fans cheering along the front row for him to recover before Marcus pressed the attack!

Blaze keeps his focus on Erynys, at this point simply looking to choke him with one hand while he's on the ground in an effort to keep him that way
Marcus looks to keep on Salem, aiming to catch him and irish whip him into the steel stairs

He grabbed at the hand that had him throttled to the mat and tried to use his strength to break the hold, but Blaze was surprisingly strong and he had the chokehold in tight. He flailed as he felt his body heave for air, and in a desperate attempt to free himself, he looked to bury his fingers in the eyes of Blaze.

Blaze does have a slight bit of aid here, he wears a mask. Doesn't avoid the problem entirely, but it does make it a little harder for the large fingers of the challenger to get all the way through the eye socket. Still Blaze releases the choke and gets to his feet, taking a step back to clear his vision
