Selinur went out nearly every night in the hopes of finding chaos which he could deal with, be it a youma or an officer, he wasn't picky on what he picked a fight with. Chaos was chaos and it needed to be dealt with, this planet was drowning in it, he couldn't allow this planet to fall to the chaos like his own homeworld had. It didn't matter that it was a different sort of chaos, it was still chaos and would still destroy this planet, it needed to be removed.

Tonight though he doubted anyone would be out, it was drizzling for now but smelled like heavy rain was to come, sniffing the air he really did wish for his full sense of smell. Even without it though he knew they were going to poured on soon enough, he could sense it and smell the rain in the air. It was not going to be a good night. A pleased sound passe dhis lips as thunder rolled through and he felt a shiver run through him, a good storm was nice. The only down side was it meant no one would be out to fight.

Already he was starting to smell like wet dog, he'd need a shower when he got home and dry off fully, but for now he could tolerate the smell. He'd grown used to it over the years he'd lived, it wasn't an unfamiliar smell, he had fur and it was to be expected.

Ears twitched and moved, with every sound, as he let his booted feet move through puddles and over the sidewalk as he continued on his way. He could hear the ground under his feet, little stones and debris, and the sound of the puddles. Tonight wasn't too bad but there was no chaos to deal with.

It was wet with the smell of cooling asphalt from the summer streets as steam floated up from the roads and soon formed small rivers along its sides. Small boats of litter bobbed and twirled down to storm drains. A distant rumble from churning clouds whipped up a breeze that warned that the worse was moving across the horizon. It was the time for people to cancel plans and head home. Aside from some taxis and late workers, everyone was rushing to be under lit roofs and behind doors.

It wasn't a good day for energy gathering, and he'd only managed two people tonight with the foresight to set them up against some deeper door alcoves to stay dryer than out in the elements. Energy draining wasn't like starseed stealing; you left them alive and well enough to not catch pneumonia. That way if they ******** up again, it was another chance to harvest.

He was under a tin roof of a second-hand pottery store as he watched the weather and picked up the signature of something very weird. It didn't read as Negaverse. Order, but it felt twisted up in something he couldn't describe. Like how most of Order felt like a prickle against his shoulder blades. This one felt like a buzzing scrape of nails. Still a prickle, but with something else.

Chewing on a piece of jerky, he pocketed the rest of the snack and headed towards it. Whatever it was, he needed to know. New was never a good thing on the other side.

His heels cracked against broken sidewalks and old cobblestone, past small parking lots and slick courtyards until he grew close enough to start looking for someone or something out on the street. A sign of movement or some vibrant color of a uniform.

Someone was coming and he could feel the chaos raditating off them. They weren't a general, or worse, but equal in rank to himself. Whoever it was had closed the distance between them, he could only assume they were seeking him out, so like any helpful person Selinur stepped out of the shadows and stood under a street light.

"I assume you're looking for me." Arms crossed over his chest as he stood there, his own pale eyes looking towards the signature and it's owner./ How interesting they looked. Clearly not human but most certainly chaos. They felt a bit like a youma even...and wasn't that a thing. They even looked like one.

"Is this how chaos rewards it's offiers? Twisting them into something inhuman. How kind of it to take your humanity and replace it with...that." The disgust attatched to that last word was nearly tangible it was so heavy. It would be good when they wiped out chaos on this planet, because anything that could and did do that to it's officers was not something which should exsist.

"This planet is truely sick."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 31, 2023 7:00 pm

"I am." He confirmed, looking at the odd creature before him.

"Did they start making Mauvians into dogs?" He asked out loud, looking them over and taking a step closer.

At the tone, he only smiled. It was only a compliment to cause such a reaction to someone on the side of Order. The more it made their skin crawl, the more he wanted to drink it in. Soaking up as much Chaos as he could was only a line he was willing to cross because of his extreme devotion to the cause. A testament to the Queen that he would never stray again, but a unwillingness to not go to a complete youma state. He'd be useful to her, and continue to serve till the last breath.

"It is a blessing. A reward I asked for directly to my Queen and one she so kindly bestowed upon me. I have offered my life for devotion to the cause." He explained, grinning a toothy smile as his golden eyes glowed.

"The planet is sick. Ahhh. Yes. I agree. Little parasites have clung to it and burrowing in. We're just here to get rid of little ticks like you." And he made a little plucking motion with his long, thick claws.

"What made you what you are? You aren't human. Were you ever human?"

"Do I feel like a mauvian to you?" Stepping towards the toehr, crossing the street, his boots hit the ground witth ease and his tail swayed. He was dressed for the colder months, rather than this warm weather, he wasn't built for this sort of weather either.

"Disgusting, to let her twist you and your starseed." Shaking his head as he spoke. "Now tell me, do I look like a mauvian to you? I'm no cat." His ears alone were wrong for a cat; he also didn't smell like one. He rather smelled like a wet dog, he really did need a bath when he got home.

"What I am? I'm far older than a child like yourself. I was alive when the silver millenium was still alive and well, though I wasn't apart of it, I'm Selinur and I suppose you can call me an ancient senshi because compared to you I am just that - ancient." Shrugging his shoulders. Her certainly didn't look that old, maybe twenty but no older than that. But he was confident and calm, a bit of a smile playing about his features. If he was around as long as he said it meant he was over a thousand years old, and he knew he was saying that without saying that.

"It was chaos which allowed me to arrive here. That asteroid you blew up piut enough energy out into space that I grasped onto it and answered it's call to come and help." And he would do just that - help. He would rmeove the chaos on this planet. "I'd say I'm closer to human than you are." Tilting his head, tail whipping back and forth behind himself he couldn't help but smile at the other. "And I'm an alien on this planet." And yet still more human.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 31, 2023 7:30 pm

"No - you feel like a senshi, but odd. And no senshi I have ever met had ears and tails close to mine. Certainly a new breed if you say is true." He said as he slowly continued to close the distance.

"So old and coming all the way here to help the little sprouts. Such a kind and caring grandfather." He teased as he thought of someone hundreds of years. "You should thank Chaos for bringing you here then. To give you - to give us - the chance to meet you."

And to take away something this ancient - he had to wonder how the starseeds compared. Was it bigger? Denser? More powerful?

How did it taste?

"So, great grandfather - were you a human before you looked like that or do all the people on your planet look like that?" He asked.

"Oh, I think we might just be on the same kind of spectrum. You just are a weird kind of Order. I'm just a more concentrated Chaos." He flexed his claws as he started to walk to the right, starting to circle.

"All this time away. Were you relaxing out there in space for all these years?"

A new breed, like he was an animal, he supposed it made sense though for a human to use such a term. How annoying it was though, as if he was a animal. Animals were to be hunted they were not senshi and people.

"Someone had to help in furthering the removal from chaos, they aren't managing on their own now are they - a sharm really. They should have finished the job by now." And now he was here to help in bringing about the removal of chaos, though this little wolf like figure was rather interesting to look at. Wolves he knew on this planet were a cousin to foxes and he was a fox himself, sort of anyway. How interesting.

"I'd rather not thank chaos, even if I am glad to be here." Because he wasn't stuck on his dead planet any longer, because he now had a chance to save it, he could help here as well. He had already helped another like himself with reviving their home world. One planet at a time would get the job done; it was just slow going.

"A human is someone from this planet, from here. I'd use the term for myself to make it easier to understand, to use a term people here understand, but no. My people all look similar to myself." Though most were a bit smalelr than himself, not that he was all that tall himself. They were made for speed and hiding, hunting, they were not built for brute strength. It was why they worked well as spies and hunters, they might even do well as assassins but that wasn't their way.

Watching the other start to circle he moved to do the same, keeping his eyes on the other and keeping them across from himself. He wasn't about to let them get to his back. "My people keep out of fights. We'd rather watch fro ma distance and record what goes on. We're good at observing things." Everything, they were information gatherers who kept a great library of all the information they'd ever gathered. But he wasn't about to say that.

"Earth called for help and I, and other senshi like myself, answered. This battle clearly needs more help." He wasn't even about to agree with the other about them being similar in any way, even if they might be. To be similar, in any manner, to something of chaos was insulting and disgusting. "Tell me, why would someone give their humanity up to show their devotion for a cause? What did yo uget for it besides a twisted body that isn't human any more? You gave devotion and loyalty, your humanity, and your soul but what were you given? You are no stronger than I am."

"That's a very selfish way of thinking. Only doing something to gain. Do you not give your life each day knowing the risks for the cause and beliefs you carry? Do you not make choices in hopes of seeing a future you want to see? Do you not take action to push against a corrupt power that seeks to destroy the people you love? I think those are all very good reasons to give your all to. I did not loose my humanity. I still have half of it, and the other I cherish to it's deep connection to the side I fight for and the ideals I follow alongside my comrades."

"I wonder why an outside observer who doesn't care to fight would abandon their own homeworld to show up here? Is it vulnerable now without you?" He glanced up at the sky as if to see it and glanced back down to them.

"I wonder if your people, if you, would look like me if you had a change of heart."

He reached up, licking the long claws on his hands as her circled ever closer.

"Selfish? For wanting something in return for what I give? I'd think it's more of a fair trade, a give and take set up. But I suppose you all give and have been trained to expect nothing and want nothing in return. You do the heavy lifting in this war and in return what? Power, you could get that elsewhere as well. I simply don't see the point. Perhaps it's also a difference in culture and how my people are." Since he was still alive he figured he could use the term 'my people' because he was one of his own people. It was perhaps a stretch but it worked, without lettin gon that his planet was devoid of life.

"The future I want to see is what my people want to see, because what they wish is what I wish to provide to them. There is no chaos there for me to fight, so I needn't worry over such." At least not yet, because he couldn't, but the chaos was there waiting for him. Again, he would stretch the truth and what he was saying, splitting hairs very thin.

As the last of his poeople he could mold and change things in the future, provided he lived that long, once life returned. He could lead them on a better path because he'd seen what had happened and why. He would find a balance between their culture, in wanting to preserve what his people had once been, and keeping their planet safe from what had already claimed it. He would see to a balance being established on his planet.

"I do not risk my life on my home planet, there is not that risk there, but there is that risk here and I accept it. My home is safe while I am here." He was here after all and fighting in this war. He knew there was a risk he wouldn't make it and he might not be able to save his homeworld. That he would be the last of his kind and would wink out of exsistence. But he would fight to live so he could revive his planet, so he could help save this planet.

Laughing he smiled at the other. "Oh, I'm nearly certain I would if I were to somehow become like you. A fox and a wolf are related I've heard. So I've no doubt we'd be similar, coloring would differ and perhaps skills." But that he figured would be the only differences of note. "

Keeping his eyes on the other he waited, ready to let his magic deal with the other, this was going to turn into an interesting scuffle to be sure.

"I wonder if you would continue down your path if you saw all that space can offer, what it once was and what it currently is." What it could become once more as well.

"I mean, if you want Power, you can argue you can get it on my side too. I've been across the fence. Selfishness is all that I encountered. A lazy, lackluster drive and a heavy sense of pride without any backing of accomplishments or experience to justify it. Everyone clamoring to be the largest voice over the crowd, thinking they are roaring lions when they are crying kittens." He sneered, remembering his unfortunate time, his biggest mistake, of purification. It gave him the perspective to destroy any doubt he ever had in the Negaverse, but it came at the price of forever being tainted in having strayed. His time as a knight had been a series of unfortunate mistakes and even worse in trying to rely on comrades who did not see each other as the same. The only part that had mattered then was -

He felt a distant, cold pain at the memory of him.

Not now. That was long ago. He wasn't that person anymore. They died.

"Oh I think my path would offer plenty." And once he thoroughly made sure the poison was applied, he rushed in lunge with a pair of claws.

"Power but at what cost? Power that is not meant to be ours. Our power comes naturally and that is what is ours." The power from their planet, from their own starseed, not something vien via corruption and tainting. The connection to their world, or wonder in the case of knights, was natural and as it should be. For someone speaking, and thinking, as he did it was a wonder he'd witnessed and even partook (unknowingly) in the destruction of his homeworld by tearing apart nature itself.

But this one here would not know the truth, would not hear what had happened up in space to what remained of Selinur. He'd keep that secret as close to his chest as he could, because some would need to know the truth.

What the other spoke of next was something of a surprise and yet not a surprise as well. he'd heard, and even noticed, how order could not work together as easily as they should. They all grew up on this planet and so shoiuld be more unified than if they'd grown up on other planets and with conflicts, and even wars, between their planets. Here they didn't have so many problems between them and yet they still couldn't pull together enough to deal with the chaos here on this one planet.

The others path could only offer darkness, death, and destruction to everything it touched. There was nothing good with the path the other walked. Watching the other come at him, claws coming first, Selinur didn't have time enough to move out of the way entierly. He knew he'd wind up bloody, with some nasty injury from the other, but he wasn't expecting the burning that came with it. It was more than you'd get with just being sliced open, that he knew from experience. It felt like something burning hot, though not hot as in tempture, was poured into the opening and was spreading through his arm.

Cursing, and ignoring the blood in favor of shaking his arm as if it might help, he looked down at the blood and open wound as he bite down on his bottom lip. The licking...that had been it. It was quick to figure out what had happened and he could only hope it wasn't anything which would, or could, kill him. The pain he'd suffer, he had no choice, till he could get away from this and tend to his injury. Tapping his foot he went for his own magic, hoping to throw the other off his balance.

"Freeze up." If he got lucky he'd follow it up with a physical attack, taking advantage of what his magic could cause, so he could try and gain the upper hand in this fight. His own arm, the right, was all but useless to him right now as burning hot pain seared his arm as if it was on fire.

He'd have to avoid those claws; they hurt.

MoonKitsune
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Freeze up.
Selinur will tap his foot gently on the ground, whilst calling out his attack, this attack can be used two times in battle and lasts 35 second each time. When he taps his foot on the ground it’ll cause the temperature to drop within a 7 foot radius of him. For the duration of his magic, it appears as though chilly rain is rapidly falling around him. Wherever the rain drops land will immediately solidify into a frozen glaze. He will be immune to the glaze but the ground beneath him and anyone or anything who comes into contact with the falling rain will be rapidly chilled by the layer of glaze that grows over them. The ground beneath him will rapidly become slippery, and any items near him will become too cold and slippery to pick up. The seven foot radius of his magic moves with him, however the more he moves, the less rain coats an area and the less slippery it will be. When the magic ends, the glaze will immediately dissipate unless players want to have lasting damage. The rain falls much faster at this stage than it did in his basic magic, allowing him to coat more in less time.

He was already close. Having your weapons be your hands, arm's reach was a necessity. When the magic came, he braced himself. The only warning was the name, the shout, the call to their own power and planet to come to their aid. Freeze - up. It could have been anything. Literal, figurative, or just something fun to say to call something else only loosely touched by the words.

But this time, he had his answer quickly. It wasn't something he could easily avoid as freezing rain hit overhead in a pelting sheet of ice. It coated his fur and uniform, covering his head with a thick glaze of ice as he felt himself stumbling down to all fours as his back and body were covered, the heavy weight and restrictive chill coating him. It was - a familiar feeling, reminding him in a twisted way to his own partner. (Though he would argue he felt Laven's had a bit more eloquence.)

Gritting his teeth, he licked the frozen blood from his claws. "My partner does it better." He growled as he tried to get even footing to lunge.

"So then you have experience being put on ice." He stated with far too much of a smile in place, he really couldn't help it considering the others words as well as his own answer. His arm though had to remind him that it was there and that it was in pain, gritting his teeth he bite down on the pain and held as strong as he could.

"Winter must feel normal to you then, I almost feel bad for you." While his words might have held a hint of fake pity his actions did not. He went to kick at the other, might as well hit a person while they were down. Whoever said one had to play fair in a war? Selinur was certain no one in an actual fight, at least one with any sort of importance, would ever speak of playing fair and not kicking a person when they were already down. That was not a luxary anyone in a true fight had.

"Perhaps you should give up." Perhaps he should as well, as his arm felt like it might just melt off, if that were at all possible, it stil lwas crawling up and down his arm and reaching his finger tips slowly. ********, this was not good.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 12, 2023 5:00 pm

There was a thick layer of ice under him and a coating coming down at his back. His body was rapidly chilling, and it felt like moving his joints would be a stiff and painful movement. Even in the brief moment of magic, he felt his teeth gritting against the cold and each breath stinging. The swift kick rang into him like a gong, shaking out from the hot pain in his stomach through his body.

Get away from this.

A quick teleport brought him a few feet away, and he shook his body as he held his stomach, the energy wiped out of him from the chill that was now melting into the layers of his uniform and clung drops of water on his fur.

"Why? We just started." He said, hair dripping as pieces of ice slid off his head and shoulders.

"Are you looking for another go of it?" He questioned, already hoping the other might just back down, though he really did wish to keep going, he didn't like the idea of not checking out his arm. It wouldn't do is this was something which lasted, or cost him more than just this fight, he didn't like taking such a risk when it could impact him in the long run.

"I'm sure I can provide a bit more ice for you." He was certain he could use his magic some more and maybe back the other off, since it seemed the other hadn't liked the first go at dealing with his magic, but how long could he hold out? Selinur just didn't like the idea of backing down but he needed this to end sooner rather than later.

Keeping his eyes on the other he held his hand to his injured arm trying to slow the bleeding. The necklace he wore, a very useful little gift from the merchant, activated and sent a nice chill through him. He could hope it would help with the pain, and burning, and buy him some time.
