[General Breeding Rules]
- All lion breedings are 30kp total, or 15kp per breeding partner.
All other animal breedings are 20kp total, or 10kp per breeding partner.
Only adults may breed.
Both parents MUST be certed to breed.
The breeding pair cannot be related. No incest, please.
If the mother is part of a pride, they will be born onto the that pride's specific line edits, otherwise they will be on the rogue lines.
A female cannot breed again until her current litter has reached the adult stage. Males do not have this restriction.
You can only keep 1 offspring per breeding, even if you own both parents. The rest will need to be given away to friends or a free event.
If the mother is part of a pride, she will automatically get +1 offspring to their breeding. This is due to the stability of pride life.
If a breeding pair provides 1 finished RP with each other they automatically get +1 offspring to their breeding . You cannot re-use RPs for this purpose, they need to be different each time.
- Lions will naturally have 2-3 cubs.
Other Animals will naturally have 1-2 offspring.
[Rogue Breeding]
- Females without a male breeding partner may request a rogue breeding.
If the mother provides 1 finished RP, she will receive +1 offspring to the breeding.
If the mother is part of a pride, she will automatically receive +1 offspring to the breeding.
The offspring will somewhat resemble the mother, but the father's appearance is random so the offspring may have unrelated markings and colors.
[Same-sex Couples]
- A same-sex couple has a few options for getting cubs. The first of which is a surrogate breeding, and the second is to adopt orphans from Khalima in the jungle of secrets ORP in the roguelands.
Surrogate breeding works similarly to rogue breedings, in which part of the offspring's design will be randomized due to the surrogate parent's genetics. Both same-sex partners will 'partcipate' in the breeding, but only 1 partner of the same-sex couple will be producing offspring, and that will be chosen by the colorist at the time of coloring, and be revealed when offspring are produced.
If the same-sex couple belong to a pride, they will receive +1 offspring to their breeding.
If the couple provides 1 finished RP of them together, they will receive +1 offspring to their breeding.
[Pride Lines]
- In order to receive pride lines for your litter, the mother -must- be on the member's list of that pride. Otherwise, the cubs will be colored onto rogue lines.
