She was on the beach again, had just finished a very good book and was leaning back on her blue tones pattern beach towel to savour the bliss of having finished an enjoyable task on an enjoyable day. The sun was hot and warmed her very soul. She loved it here. Summer was the very best. A time of rest and heat and relaxation at least for her as a prentice. Everybody else seemed pretty busy.

He strolled along the beach squishing his toes into the warm sand. He looked around with his eyes and then up at the clear blue sky. It was a beautiful summer day and it wasn’t too hot in the day to be out in the sunshine. He stretched and ran his fingers through his hair humming to himself as he strolled along the sandy beach.

Looking over she noticed a boy walking along the sand. Curiously she looked at him. He was a different mix of blood like her, though there were so many water and ice hybrids in her family that they looked more normal in this subregion then the pure water folk did. He looked alk and ice maybe? She loved guessing at what other hybrids were. He was very pretty there was no better way to put it.
She waved in a friendly manner.

Huang looked over as he saw someone waving at him, he looked behind him to make sure she wasn’t waving at someone else who was behind him before waving back to her and making his way to where she was. As he got closer he got a better look at her appearance and it was a combo he hadn’t been exposed to yet so he was all for meeting new folk.

"Hi! My name is Tahnee, and I must say you look quite striking out on the sand. I don't think I've seen anyone quite like you." She hoped he wasn't offended she was just super curious. She patted the ground beside her. "Care to visit a bit? I have a spare thing of tea if you want?" She always brought two just in case she had encounters like this one.
"I was out for a morning walk and the view was just too darn good to pass up."

"Oohhh!" She was intrigued, "That is a rare combo!" She had always liked the look of Alkidikes. They were so lithe and tall and utteryly terrifying when they were in battle mode. "I regret to say I have no alk in my blood line, just strong water and ice." Her family was spectacular and interesting and rather large at this point if you counted all zillion cousins.
She handed him the spare thing of tea. "I have sugar available, but no milk in this heat I'm afraid."

He nodded his head “so i’ve heard” he replied and then thinking about it “I can’t say i have run into a water/ice combo, so this is a first for me” he said tapping his chin thoughtfully before taking the spare thing of tea he handed her.
“Sugar is quite alright with me” he replied “that is a smart choice, as it would have spoiled in this heat” he answered before blowing on his tea and then taking a sip of it.

"Indeed!" She smiled, glad that he was willing to join her, she didn't have many friends yet so maybe she could make one? "Isn't it just a glorious day?" She should have brought her paints along, it would have been a great view to have immortalized on paper. She would have to remember to bring them with her next time. "Do you uh, have any hobbies? I was just regretting not bringing my paints with me. But I did just finish a really good book on adventure!"

He listened attentively as she spoke and nodded his head “it is, i mean its a little on the hot side but still a glorious day” he said. He leaned back a bit “though then again i do not have that many friends so i do need to make some more” he said. Though it was a perfect day to go for a swim as well.
He tilted his head to the side thoughtfully “well, i also enjoy a good book every once in awhile but i also like to go swimming. Especially on hot days like today” he told her.

She sat up a little straighter. “Me too! I mean.. friends wise, mostly its just my family and maybe one friend but he lives pretty far away so its a bit difficult you know.”
She looked out at the sea, it was glinting at them as if inviting thrm for a dip. “I do like swimming, if you er wanted to go?”
She knew she was being a bit awkward but it didn’t hurt to try.

Finished up his tea and set it down gently near her stuff so she wouldn’t forget it before taking her offered hand and pulling himself up and dusting the sand off his bottom. He frowned a bit as she mentioned that she had one friend but lived far from where she was based. “Sorry to hear that” he told her.
He glanced at the sea as it beckoned them to just jump in and cool off “i would love to” he told her before pulling off his top and setting it down near her stuff so he knew where it was.

“Yeah its a bit of a problem, I have lots of family but its not quite the same. Do you have siblings? I have three.”
She was already dressed for the water so she didn’t have to prepare before going to the shoreline. “I wonder if it will be cold..” She stood where the water met the sand and wiggled her blue toes in the wetness. “Doesn’t feel to cold here but I bet with our sun heated skin it will be a mild shock to the senses.”
She loved the water. And she was happy that someone was willing to go for a swim with her it was safer to not do it alone.

“I do not have any siblings, i’m an only child” he told her while he enjoyed being an only child some days he would have liked a play mate or a sibling growing up.
He followed her to the shore line and watched the water tease his toes. “I mean it shouldn’t be too bad, if anything if it is cold it will feel refreshing” he told her as he squished his toes in the wet sand.
He waited a few minutes before wading deeper in to the water and slowly let his sun heated skin adjust to the temperature of the water.

“That is cool.” She smiled brightly and joined him in the water, gasping at the contrast in temperature but quickly adjusting and then paddling around happily. The water was so freeing and she adored every moment in the ocean.
“Im glad you can swim! I love the water.”
