Crocoite was irritated, but that was not particularly new or exciting. He had been 'teaming up' with that annoying little twerp for 'training', but it always left him in a very sour mood. How his previous General could endure sure a fall from grace was beyond him. Ekanite was her new Lieutenant, and she sheltered him like he was made from gold.
Crocoite had once been her right hand, and she abandoned him without a thought. Now, replaced by this pathetic example of how to waste Chaos, Crocoite was more determined than ever to break her and destroy her entire world. Unfortunately, that meant tainting Ekanite's perceptions, which in turn required spending more and more time with him.
He was so excited and thankful, it made Crocoite nauseous. He had barely endured their session today, when Ekanite broke away abruptly and told him he had curfew to maintain. He'd run off before Crocoite could float the idea of their upping their hunting game next time, but he supposed he could just force the kid's hand the next time they met.
For now, he was content to stalk the darkness of the early morning. Maybe he would get a good idea while wandering, as he had not planned these details out to their finest degrees. His focus was split on other parts of his project, some progressing much easier and some completely stalled.
It was difficult to dedicate oneself entirely to jealous revenge, but it was a choice Crocoite willingly made.
As he rounded a corner, he felt the glimmer of a nearby aura, and began to walk toward it mostly on instinct.

Beatrix was out and about, picking off the stragglers who tried and failed to stumble their way home before the sun would begin to rise. She had siphoned off quite a bit of energy from them and made about 300 dollars and change from cleaning out their wallets. Keeping things on the low down tonight, she left them all passed out on various benches to sleep it off. Normally she would have just ripped their star seeds but, she was a bit gun-shy after her interaction with that order princess b***h a few nights before. Sitting on a bench, she counted through the bills and made sure they all faced the same way before adding them to her wallet and tossing it back into her subspace. It was about the time she looked up that she thought she recognized a figure that was rounding the corner. They had the same sort of vibe she was used to from people in the Negaverse so she didn't make any threatening motions towards them. She was content to sit and wait for them to come to her as she took a moment to scroll through her Instagram. There was a lot of interesting stuff coming up in the rumor mill threads she followed, some of which she could tell was directly related to her own actions. A sick smile spread across her face as she read about a string of disappearances out by one of the college bar crawl routes, one she knew she had personally been stalking to get star seeds around that time. She had just cleaned up some of the garbage men who would have caused trouble if they were allowed to continue. If anything she was one of those anti-hero types like Batman who cleaned up the trash of the streets. But she didn't have to justify her actions to anyone, as long as she didn't run into another one of those super cracked-out princesses again.

Crocoite spotted Beatrix from a short distance off, though her aura gave her away from much further out. He tried not to seem too excited, though she was one of the few people he did seem to actually like. Rather than how he tolerated those he required to be around him, and downright loathed those he was simply using for one purpose or another.
He was hoping to sever some of those more obnoxious ties soon, but his plans were always in a state of flux. Maybe it was because he could not tie down the best way to cause the most pain and suffering to his ultimate targets. As long as he did not miss his chances entirely, though, he was sure he would settle on something appropriately ruinous and painful.
All in due time. He was perfectly fine waiting just beneath the surface for the perfect time to strike, all the while gathering his power and his game pieces. Thankfully, much like the creature he so thoroughly embodied, he had plenty of patience.
Even if he was angry and irritated the whole time. It still counted.
"Good evening," he said, with an easy, albeit small, smile. If he had a hat on, he likely would have tipped it, at least if his delivery was any indication. He spoke smoothly and politely, but there was nothing forced about it this time. It would be nice to forget that bubbly obnoxious kid for a while, and wash the remaining happy echoes of laughter and excitement out of his brain.

Looking up at Croconite as he made his way closer she nodded and offered a smile back. It wasn't the same as it used to be but a smile nonetheless. "How've ya been? s**t's been crazy for me lately since I got some more mojo for my magic. It's been pretty awesome seeing him there in the fog. He's almost whole, I can feel it." He seemed... less irked this time. Maybe something good had come up with the things he had been working on. Waving for him to have a seat, she scooted over so he could have a bit more room. She popped her cell back into subspace so as not to seem rude before continuing. "So like are all princesses bitches? One of them got butthurt about how I almost murdered one of their knights. The purple one uhh.... Ida? I think? But anyway, they had a pretty blue starseed, it looked so... tasty. To be honest, I got him pretty good, he was an idiot. If she hadn't interrupted I could've gotten away with it." Part of her still wanted to see what one of the knight star seeds tasted like as a comparison to the other ones she had tried from civilians. She absentmindedly tapped her cheek as she thought about that weird taste they had, she still couldn't compare it to any food she knew of.

Crocoite nodded his head, pondering her question about how he had been. The same as always, he supposed. Angry. Driven. Rude. Nothing to write home about, though he was pleased with his progress as far as that idiot Lieutenant he was slowly stealing away.
Though things would be a lot less annoying once he was gone for good.
He arched an eyebrow at the abrupt and unprompted change of topic, putting his hands in his pockets and vaguely wondering if he was meant to be part of this conversation. He did not look particularly impressed as she spoke, though he had been at first when he saw how she had been progressing in her own right.
"I wouldn't know," he said, once it seemed like it was his turn to speak. "I can't say I've ever felt compelled to put something like that in my mouth. In any case, you've grown stronger. That's good to hear. I would imagine your magic has, too. Any new, interesting perks you've noticed?" The evolution of senshi magic, white and corrupt, was fascinating. Though White Moon magic tended to be frustrating or just plain stupid, and it was really only hers that had ever seemed truly useful. At least when it came to the senshi he had battled so far.

Thinking for a moment, she wondered how to describe the perks of her new magic. "I guess the best way to put it simply is that my monster grapples people now, makes it a whole lot easier to get access to their starseeds. He just holds them tight and I reach right in, boom, easy peasy. Also I feel like the fog show goes a bit farther than before maybe? But it's hard to see yanno. I got a bit tired at first when I used it but I guess I'm building up a tolerance maybe from how often I do stuff? Oh but you are about all this magic, I have a few others to report if you'd like to here from those knights I've run up against."Tapping the side of her head for a moment, she tried pulling up the details from the past few fights. "I feel like it might be good to know yanno?" There was that one knight with the weird vase, and one that had a harp but the second one hadn't ended up doing anything with that thing. They weren't senshi but then again she hadn't really come across any of those yet.

Crocoite looked interested, tilting his head to the side and watching her with a very contemplative look. He could easily see how a magically created ally, of sorts, could come in very handy. Something to draw attention or take a hit, or do dirty work like incapacitating a victim, as she said. It sounded fascinating, and once again he found himself jealous that he was not granted some sort of power like that.
Yes, there was obviously a lot more he could in the Negaverse than he could ever do as a simple civilian, but he wanted more. He wanted magic. How could he take powers away from the White Moon, or perhaps harness them in some way for his own use? Was it possible?
While a devious creature, he did consider himself too fond of Bea to try anything on her, even if he did ever come up with an idea or a method. Likewise, Negaverse senshi were off the table for experiments like that. They were useful because they were already on the right side of the war, and their magic could only teach him more about how it all worked.
What made them so different.
"You're getting stronger, and more skilled. That's very impressive. It sounds incredible, and yes, of course I'd be interesting in hearing anything you've learned. I'm beginning to think my focus should shift, at least while my other plans are in a holding pattern. I wonder how I might... come to borrow magic from our White Moon enemies. I almost forgot Knights can use some, too."
And knights were, according to some, the other side of the coin to the Negaverse.

Nodding for a moment at the compliment she smiled back at him. It was nice being seen and getting validation for the effort she was actually putting in for once. Chrysocolla had also complimented her when she was given an upgrade, it felt so different than what she had been used to. It felt more sincere than the things she had been told by men in her civilian life and it was why she felt so much more at home with people like Croconite and Chrysocolla. "Thank ya, it's been pretty fun and I'm excited to get stronger. I'm stoked about the fact I have a bit of a buffer between me and the enemy. One of the knights I saw used like a vase and it made this puddle of super magic juice that made her stronger. She was kind of a pain but it seems the boost only lasts when she was in the circle of stuff. I think she was a knight of that deadbeat prince Castor? The other one I saw had a harp but he didn't really do anything with it so I'm not sure if it does magic or if he was gonna try hitting me with it? Oh now that I think about it.... there was this other senshi that was one of the uhhh I think dark mirror court? He was pretty chill and helped me with one of the guys I had taken down. He had some kinda weird like magic love beam thing? It made the dude super suggestable and easy to rob and drain more. He was a bit of a mood killer since he wouldn't let me leave the dude in the dumpster." Pouting a bit at the memory even though the night had ended up a bit more profitable for her than the others. Pausing for a moment she tried to think of some of the others she had encountered but nothing else magical had really come to mind. "That would be kinda interesting if you could take some of their magic away, even if for a moment. It would make things easier if you want to capture them or get their starseed. It would be pretty fun to see it happen." She thought for a moment, only in passing, about how a white moon senshi starseed might taste in comparison to a knight's or a civilian's. The idea of knocking the other side down a peg also brought a bit of evilness into her smile.

Crocoite wrinkled his nose in distaste at the mention of knights. Their magic was inefficient, from what he saw, and disappointing at best. But he found himself increasingly disdaining in the very existence of knights. They only represented a temptation to the weakest of their ranks, the promise of a life in the light that no one who pledged to Chaos should ever dream of.
It made him nauseous, in many ways, just to think about it. Of course, that was probably because it made him think of his former General, and her ever increasing interest in betraying them. She was a stain on his legacy, but he would fix that situation in due time.
He took notes of her words, nodding his head. It seemed the magic of the white moon, or branching sides, could be very vast. They differed substantially, one from the next, and the power behind the senshi mattered, as well. He was not interested in becoming an expert on the way they used their power, of course: what he wanted was to find a way to make all that magic his own. In the name of Chaos, of course.
"I think this is a path I will have to travel down, then. The White Moon rely heavily on their magic. I would very much enjoy seeing them beg, when their only escape is taken from them. Like knocking the weapon out of the hand of a novice. Well, I do appreciate the information, in any case. It's an interesting challenge."
Once his General was gone, he would need something to do, after all.
