The come down song was crooning into its last notes, and the woman's head lay heavy on his shoulder, dark hair smelling like fake roses and cigarettes. The vague shadow of a wraith was lingering just behind her, hoping for the signal to continue draining and not getting it. It'd been months since Hybris last showed up here, and after getting stronger, there was an urge to start leaving a cleaner, more controlled trail of tired, but still standing partners. At least for tonight. At least for now. She lifted her head and gave him a slurry smile that he affectionately returned, even as he led her back to her friends with apologies for tiring her out. The music picked up again, louder and faster, and there was a guy who'd been catching his eye, a riot of long limbs flailing without rhythm or care. It was cute and maybe it meant the little shadow floating beside him could finally fill up after that last anemic meal. But then also, Hybris turned his head toward the bar, trying to pick out the other chaos aura that had been moving around the club for the last few songs. Was it her? Or was it just that she stood out in a way that couldn't help but catch his eye?

She had sensed them as soon as she got close to the club but since it was also a chaos aura she picked up Strengite mentally shrugged and continued on with her plan. She was expecting the night to be a typical night of hunting, drinking, dancing, and maybe if a guy was lucky enough… some after hours fun. So far it was going exactly to plan. Her altered uniform didn’t quite fit in with the barely there skirts she was seeing but there was only so much she could do, then again the dichotomy was what got more then a few looks. She had done what she could by ditching the gloves, the hat, the harness and daggers, and the little shoulder things… whatever they were called. She looked like she had stepped out of an old pin-up calendar, just a bit more clothed. Luckily for her vintage was coming back, she wasn’t the only one that wore more ‘classic’ clothes here in the club. Not that Strengite gave two shits. She used her strange look to attract targets. “Dance with me,” A man slid up next to her and offered his hand, one she took before being pulled on to the dance floor. He hadn’t been bad looking, not terribly her taste though, but he was still a good person to use. Using the flashing lights and the rapid movements, their dancing acting as the perfect cover for a little draining. Not a grand amount but enough. A sip. A taste. A aperitif. He wasn’t good enough for her to ‘take out back’ as it were, so no point in doing more than just spinning out a little energy with each brush of their bodies. When the song ended she gave him a grin, even as he was breathing heavily, she was barely winded. “Come on big boy, let's get you some water.” A trip back to the bar left her dance partner guzzling down a bottle of water while she sipped at a new drink, her eyes drifting over the crowd. So many were dressed skimpily or just bizarrely, but one caught her eye. She had a sneaking suspicion but rather than act hostile or even ignore the other predator that was sharing her hunting ground she just raised her glass slightly in a salute. He would either get it or he wouldn’t. Didn’t matter to her all that much. Not unless he wanted to make it her problem… or make it worth her while.

In a black long sleeve shirt, tight black pants, and black shoes, Hybris's own stripped down uniform shouldn't be notable, but it's always going to be apparent in the details to anyone taking a close look and knowing what they're seeing. The fabrics, textures, colors that should be familiar just being a slight bit off. The buttons and zippers and belts and that seem a little much, but also, for some unknown reason, necessary. By the time he slid into the seat on the other side of the woman, they would both be certain that the other was who they'd been feeling. After ordering a drink, a turned to the chaos agent beside him and her partner, smiling as he saw how worn out the man looked. "Did you have a good workout, out there?" He asked the man while giving her a little eyebrow waggle.

As the man that she had been eyeing approached she realized that it wasn’t necessarily his outfit that caught her eye but his aura in general. He was definitely some flavor of chaos even if he wasn’t her particular brand. By the time he sat down she was just about finished her drink even as her dance partner remained slumped in his chair still rather winded and worn down. Maybe she took a bit more than she had ment. Quotas were pretty tight this month already so… oops. “Wha…” It took a moment for the civi to get his two brain cells engaging but he eventually nodded and grinned sillily, at least to Strengite. “Yup. This little lady here really can dance circles around a man.” He tossed her what he likely thought was a flirtatious smile, she just thought he looked cliche, and put his arm on the bar behind her, as if he was trying to stake a claim. Two things she just mentally rolled her eyes on but kept her general indifference to the man hidden by the last sip of her drink. With the glass done Strengite figured it was best to extract herself from her surprisingly clingy prey. With a swish of skirts she pulled away from the bar and turned to face both her chaotic compatriot and the man. “Why don’t you stay here a little longer…” She had forgotten his name. “Jim.” “Yes, that's right. Why not order another water Jim and we,” Indicating herself and the other chaos user, “can go dance. This is one of my favorite songs so I have to dance to it.” That was a big fat lie, she had no idea what song was playing nor did she give a damn, Strengite just wanted an excuse to slip away from the guy and see if it was possible to snag a few more ‘dance’ partners. “Do you think you can keep up?” That was directed at the black clothed man who was also hunting that evening.

Bemused, Hybris sipped his own drink, watching the sloppy man tried to play cool. He might've been handsome before however many drinks he'd had, or however much energy she'd had. But maybe not. The problem with a certain sort of man that happened to be a lot of men in general, is that if someone is a little nice to them they think it's a Thing. Sometimes just giving them eye contact was enough. He gave the agent a sympathetic look, like a fly had just landed in her drink. "Oh, I'm always ready for a good workout." Or a good nap, to be honest. Grinning, Hybris rocked up from his seat, taking her hand and moving toward the floor without a look back. A few moments later a glance at the bar would reveal the scene of Jim, slumped into a nap of his own on the counter. A barely there wisp of a shadow hovered near Hybris's free hand until he made a little gesture for One Pass. Then came a little No-no finger waggle toward the agent. As fun as that might be, he was pretty sure she could break him over her knees and while that didn't seem a terrible way to get beaten up, he actually did like this song. "This is my first time meeting someone from your company in a place like this," he began, still smiling, as the mirrorwraith slipped away and into the crowd. "I'm Hybris, of Eggplants."

“I enjoy club hopping. Easier to get free drinks that way,” Strengite informed her magical dance partner. The drinks were a bonus, the energy and the occasional seed were the real draws. “Lieu- Captain Strengite.” She had to correct herself because it was still rather new to her. All things considered at least. After years of being a lowly lieutenant she had finally gotten her ‘stripes’ and made it to captain. “I’m guessing this is a regular ‘haunt’ for you?” She smirked as she spotted that little shadow ghost thing that the fellow sent out. A glance over her shoulder had her smirk shift to a full blown smile. One with a twist of malice in it. Shame really, if the tool currently sleeping away at the bar pushed his luck any further he would be sleeping in the alleyway… possibly permanently. Draining overly handsy partners or seeing them was a very convenient

Hand comfortably on her hip, Hybris matched her movements and rhythm easily, while leading just enough to guide her away from the other, more aggressive and less graceful dancers on the floor. With a low, throaty laugh, he admitted, "I keep a long list of clubs in a randomizer app and try to avoid patterns." Follower her gaze, a little smirk played across his lips. "Sometimes they try to give me too many drinks and I have to store some into subspace later." There was, in fact, half a dozen shots in his space at this very moment. The result of someone thinking they were very clever, and who paid for it twice over.

He wasn’t a half bad dancer. Strengite was pleasantly surprised as Hybris matched her as the music throbbed around them, he was even aware enough to shift them further away from the group that was more or less just gyrating to the song rather than dancing. “Now that is something I’ll have to try. Both of them really.” She mostly just bounced from bar to bar, club to club and if she was powered or not. For her it was random but maybe it was actually possible that her ‘random’ wasn’t actually all that random. The only thing she did for certain was avoid a club or bar that she left someone out back at for a while… regardless if they were still breathing or not. Just so no one connected her with the body. “I’ve got a pretty good tolerance but storing the drinks for later is a fantastic idea.” It would also mean that she could drink them once she was home. No more spending money on booze? Who would say no to that? Certainly no her. “It's also easier to get closer to someone if you act tipsy.” Which for her meant it was easier to drain them. There were a few other things she had learned over time, things that were a bit more… risque. Just nothing that could be done in a public setting, at least not without the risk of being caught by any butt bow senshi or one of the other goodie goodies. Speaking of which, with the two of them there what were the odds that one of those ‘order’ folks would show up?

"There's a certain sort, that just loves it when we seem vulnerable, right? Just primed and ready for whatever they want." His smile was full of teeth as he talked, because it had always been his favorite sort of game. And now, as senshi, there were so many more ways to win it.Speed, strength, magic pockets, a way out. Secret ghosts and strange allies. Hybris gave Strengite a little half spin and pulled her close, her back to his front and both of them looking over the dancefloor. "What's your favorite type?" He asked as they surveyed the crowd. "I like the ones that look a little mean, you know? And the couples that look a little nice." Here and there, she might notice a thin slip of a shadow, passing through this dancer and that one, hardly there but growing as it went.

Strengite returned Hybris’ wolfly smile with one of her own. She knew just the type of person he was talking about… in her case, the kind of man who saw her not as a person but as a thing. Pliable, compliant, passive. They were quite amusing when they found out just who, and what, she was. Typically it was the last thing they ever learned since those particular targets rarely survived the night. It was her little service to the greater female population of Destiny City. A pale brow rose as he spun her into his embrace, he was quite the competent dancer so she didn’t pull away, just settling into the rhythm and enjoying the moment. She could understand how he was such a proficient hunter if he handled his typical partners this way. With a chuckle Strengite nearly purred as she responded, quite enjoying herself, “It depends on my mood really.” With a slight incline of her head towards her earlier ‘prey’ still napping at the bar she explained, “Those that are a bit handsy are amusing to just put down for the night, others are much more… hmmmm, shall we say… removed from the gene pool completely.” Those were the mean ones. The ones with the hard glint in their eyes but broke so easily. “Quite fun when in the right mood.” Her smile was cold and very toothy. “And yet, when I’m in the mood,” Strengite glanced over her shoulder at him and smirked ever so slightly, “It's much more enjoyable taking the lucky ones ‘home’ for the night.” That didn’t happen very often but it was still a possibility. Especially if her partner at the time was handsome or powerful. Preferably both. “A bit of roleplay, a touch of blindfold play, and the next thing they know it's the next morning.” She shrugged slightly, “we both get to enjoy ourselves. But I will admit the Darwin Award winners are much more cathartic… if not quite as physically pleasurable.”

"Blindfolds?" He met her gaze, eyebrows raised, " ...you're clever." He grinned, happy to listened to someone else who liked to play a little as they worked. Someone who had fun with the process. "I like to make it nice, usually," Hybris began, voice soft. "In the hot press of bodies and music, their hearts sounding like drums in their ears. And it's just a simple little kiss, or a big... messy one," he grinned against the shell of her ear. "Everything goes a little breathless, and then they're suddenly dizzy with.... something. Maybe it's partly the alcohol? Exhaustion? But they look at me, barely knowing up from down, and they know it's me. And they love it, and me...just a little more for it." A small distorted discoball of a ghost, its features vaguely animalistic, floated toward Hybris and into the shard of mirror he'd summoned back into his hand. "They're cute right?" As the one disappeared, a slip of shadow rose up out of the shard and slid into the darkness of the dance floor.

Strengite chuckled, “They are quite useful when hunting after hours as a civilian as well.” She had found after quite a bit of trial and error that just by introducing a little strip of cloth into personal time she could both enjoy herself and meet her quota. She was still exceedingly picky with regards to those she took to her bed, more like a hotel bed, but when she did… and she felt like it… it was a win-win no matter how you look at it. The officer grinned, noting the senshi’s deliberate moves and his voice practically caressing her ear. He was definitely practiced and quite good at it too. She was rather practiced as well so she matched his moves with ones of her own, particularly with her hips. Being a dancer, of sorts, was quite useful when teasing men. “Add a pair of believable fangs and I bet you could make a killing, pun intended, as a vampire in October or just in general with certain crowds.” All those women who swooned over those Twilight movies would absolutely fall over themselves for a ‘real life vampire’. That made her wonder if there was a themed bar where all the workers were pretending to be some sort of supernatural. She would bet it would make serious money if done right. The woman mentally tucked that away to add to her list of general ideas for making money and generating energy. A seasonal popup bar would be a good money maker if not an energy sink. Silver eyes took in the little ghostly wisp and her smile got so much brighter even as a calculating glint flashed in her gaze. Just how well could her team work with the mirrored senshi? Considering the rapidly approaching season of pumpkins and spooks, and the idea that had formed in her mind, it was quite possible to create some kind of mutually beneficial, financially useful, and enjoyable business. So many, many ideas… Her dance partner was quite useful, not a bad dancer, and wasn’t bad looking either. Maybe it was worth seeing if this dance could be ‘extended’ for a while or even morph into a more lengthy partnership. She would have to talk to Beni to see what he thought of her new little ideas, especially since one of them was already well in motion.
