Negaverse: Lieutenant Lazulite

Name: Kinkade Burke

Nickname: Dangerous territory there*.

Age: 18 (now 32)

Birthday: July 13

Sign: Cancer

Blood Type: O+

School: Sovereign Heights

Kinkade's parents would have nothing less than Sovereign Heights for their child. They enjoy telling everyone how their son was awarded a full scholarship, but they turned it down and paid for the whole thing themselves. It's only stretching the truth a little bit - he received a partial scholarship, and his parents were hasty to cover the rest. While he does seem to enjoy the school, and finds the environment refreshing, his attendance is more for the sake of his parents' bragging rights than his own education.

Fav. Food: Kinkade has a guilty pleasure in the form of mini Cinnabon rolls. He tries not to let anyone know about this, but it is certainly his favorite. A more public favorite is prime rib with au jus.

Hated Food: Little Debbie Snack packs. He has a taste aversion to them all due to an unfortunately timed stomach ailment as a child. He also dislikes celery and peanut butter with raisins, also due to unfortunate timing - this instance, however, involved picnics and flies.

Hobbies:
Reading: Though he lives a rather extravagant life now, Kinkade's beginnings were somewhat rough. He did not have a television set in his home, and spent most of his time reading rented books from the library. He never made the transition towards watching television even when one was available, and would prefer a good book over the latest hot HBO show any day.

When he was younger, he loved books that were far into the realm of fantasy. Now he prefers historic fiction, alternate history, and non-fiction (favoring architectural and medical science) history, though he occasionally entertains his youthful love of fantasy.

Architectural Design: Branching off from his adoration of books, he began to scribble out designs for gothic-styled buildings after seeing a picture book of European gothic architecture. He doesn't anticipate a future in architecture, but does enjoy creating his own perfected cityscapes, where he can mentally spend time when he wants to escape the trashy architecture and loud noises of the real world.

Sailing: Kinkade loves sailing. There is nothing more calming to him than the seemingly endless horizon of blue sky meeting its mirror image in dark blue sea. He doesn't like to do any sort of fishing or anything that requires laboring away while he's supposed to be enjoying his time on the ocean. Sailing is all leisurely to him - if he could, he'd have his very own yacht to cruise around the oceans, but his parents don't spoil him that much.

His love of reading has, in the past, bled over into his love of sailing. He liked to peruse books of star charts and old books of maps used by sailors to navigate, and has done extensive reading on the Naval practices up to the second World War. Anything past that fails to interest him; only personal sailboats and vessels are fun to him in a modernized setting.

Virtues:
Manipulative: Kinkade is spoiled absolutely rotten to the core, and he will get his way. He is sly, persuasive, and will spend as long as it requires to wear someone down, be it for whatever reason. Following his strong beliefs of hierarchy, he never makes attempts on anyone he feels is 'above' him - gaining their approval comes first and foremost, period. Those most susceptible to him tend to be more open-minded. It easier for him to convince them that all of their ideas and beliefs are wrong than to convince them that he is wholly right. While not necessarily a virtue in the eyes of those who find themselves as a pawn, he is not always selfish in his motives. Earn his respect, and he'll be happy to help you out.

Obedient: If he considers you a superior or an equal, he won't question a reason when asked for a favor or when told to step down or lay off of something for a while. This also means he has a drive to want to be teacher's pet; while he doesn't see the position from an academic standpoint, he is the best he can be in class out of respect and admiration for his superiors.

Steadfast: A fatal combination with his assertiveness, Kinkade will not budge when he believes something is right (or needs to be done). Any enemy can be conquered and every homework assignment can be completed in his mentality. He is not blindly stubborn: if he refuses something, he will have a sturdy, logical reason behind it. At least in his mind.

Flaws:
Arrogant: Most peers and younger members of society are below him indefinitely, and there are very few exceptions to this rule. He lives a good life and has no qualms in bragging about it, despite how disheartening it may be. Monetary reasons aside, his traditional methods of entertainment (books and architecture) give him the worldview that television and other modern forms of time-wasting are making everyone stupid, and nothing can be said to convince him otherwise.

Envious: If he admires a teacher or other role-model, and someone else gets in his way, he envies them to the point of hatred, especially if he feels they do not deserve it (which is frequently). His envy for 'things' is short lived, since he can usually just go purchase it, but he hates when someone has something he can't have. Especially if it is a personality trait or a particular skill or talent.

Intolerant: Ignorance is rampant, and that is not okay. Kinkade believes wholeheartedly in treating everything in a mature, logical manner; he has no tolerance for anyone who might be lagging behind, and is bothered by those who don't take life extremely seriously. There is no time for child's play. All things in life must be tactically arranged and strategically thought out, and he is not accepting to people who enjoy excessively leisurely living. Typically, he holds his tongue and silently fumes when he witnesses such horrendous things, but occasionally something tips him over the edge, and a venomous comment towards the offender follows.

Only once has he physically reacted - a particularly stubborn group member repeatedly refused to put any effort into the assignment, and he punched him in the face. And loved every minute of it, even though he was given detention.

Recklessly Devoted: Because of his driving need to be Lieutenant Kissass Supreme, he'll do anything and everything he feels is necessary to be the shining child. This has the chance of going terribly wrong in two prominent ways (among others):

-Asked to do something dangerous, he completely neglects any reason and puts himself in a terrible position, resulting in harm, embarrassment, or death
-His Fearless Leader does not consider him special in the slightest, only sees him as average and annoying, and thus sends him on tasks that do nothing but bring Kinkade public shame

Both instances have happened to Kinkade in the past, but he refuses to acknowledge them so seriously that he's all but forgotten about them.
