Shock Mark (15)
Well, Sam thought to themselves, this was actually stupid of an idea, insomnia them is very bad at idea's. The pain of the lightning coursed through them, or it seemed to. It really didn't feel like how a lightning strike should feel, this felt like a small static shocks, not thousands of kilowatts hitting them at once, which brought up dark thoughts they normally didn't have, but it felt terrible all the same. They personally thought it should have burnt them to a crisp, (and again, insomnia brain was not really thinking this through, so unfortunately doctor's appointment was now present Sam's problem) The lightning was over as quick as it began, leaving Sam to stagger, dragging themselves to the safe awning of a building, to collapse on the wall and take stock of their injuries. Or that would have been the case, had they not passed out. Their last thought being they hoped no one saw them like this, because if it got back to their parent's it would NOT end well. When Sam next woke up, the sun was clearly just over the horizon and they felt the sandpaper texture of...something, licking their arm. When they looked over they saw it to be a large, fluffy orange cat , licking at the red, angry marks of the lightning strike that now adorned their arm. They attempted to pet the cat, only to startle it and themselves when they shocked it. "Oops?" They said quietly, as the cat ran off. Well, it seemed like that would be Sam's life for who knows, but hey, they seemed to get that cool lightning scar. It ran up their arm in the patterns of their veins, and what at first seemed angry and red (a trick of the morning light?) Now were clearly just dull, as if they had this injury for a while. Well it didn't matter, Sam got the cool scar, and now headed home to maybe sleep, because now they truly felt tired, despite being unconscious for several hours, then to the usual meet up spot with their friends later that day to show it off, and maybe shock them when they got a bit too annoying and into themselves for Sam's liking.
