Quote: The Fairies (7) : The City has been lit up for the Star Festival with banners and twinkling decorations strewn off the windowsills of shop fronts and windows. The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear. One of Cecelia’s favorite parts of the Star Festival is all the decorations around town. Something about little twinkling lights amongst greenery always made her feel giddy. Therefore, when word of the ‘Fairy’s Paradise’ reached her, she was immediately obsessed and went to see it at the earliest opportunity. It was a little late in the evening, so it was a bit dark outside. As she approached the park she began to see the glow from all the light. From a distance, it already looked so beautiful. The smile on her face grew as she got closer. Upon entering the park, she was dazzled and definitely not disappointed. As she started her walk through, she overheard someone mention something about a beautiful mysterious figure spotted in the park. The notion of it piqued Cecelia’s interest, but she figured it was probably a fake rumor to generate curiosity in the park. She continued to explore, staying more in the less populated areas, to enjoy the quiet. She was looking closely at a crystal in a bush, and occasionally glancing around to see if anyone walked over. She glanced up and saw a shorter pretty woman walking along, and then back to the bush. When she stood up and was about to continue on, she glanced at the woman again and did a double take after she saw a strange glittery figure a ways behind her. It immediately reminded her of what she heard before about a mysterious stranger, so she quickly went to inspect. Unfortunately, by the time she had jogged over to her, there was nothing to be seen. Confused she quickly turned and asked, “Excuse me miss, sorry to bother you, did you see where that strange person went? I wanted to investigate a rumor, but it’s like they vanished.”

It had been late when Mi-Hi had finally clocked off work for the night, had been late enough for her to decide not to stop by the park with the stray cats as was her general tendency.
Because she had things to do in the morning, had promised her papa that she'd give him some help with a few bits and bobs.
It was far too easy to lose track of time I the park and it was not the first time that she'd spent longer than intended and so Mi-Hi had thought it better to skip the park and the strays for the night and told herself that she would just have to make it up to the felines there on her next visit.
It was perhaps something of an irony that she had instead found herself at a different park, but Mi-Hi had had been planning to take a better look at the fairy garden anyway–
Especially as her last visit (as Sadalsuud) had been kind of interrupted by the Order senshi.
She'd even remembered to bring a disposable camera along this time around so that she could take a few snaps.
The park looked just as magical as it had on her last visit and Mi-Hi had been busying herself with taking pictures of the bushes with the little jewelled beads and the trees with the glimmering fairy lights that looked like glowing strings of stars whilst privately lamenting that she wasn't a better photographer.
In fact so caught up was Mi-Hi, that it took a while for her to realise that she wasn't on her own in the park and she visibly jumped at the sound of the other's voice.
"Uh?" Mi-Hi said her voice somewhat flustered, but then mind caught up to the other's question.
"Strange.. Person?" She asked, her green eyes honestly curious.
And whilst she hadn't noticed anything this time around - well at least not so far - there had been that strange glittery fluttering figure last time around.
Although she (or rather Sadalsuud as she'd been powered up at the time), had kind of lost track of it by the time that she'd parted company with the Order senshi.Scamps16 Thank you for starting for us cat_biggrin Apologies in advance for any typos, I've tagged this by phone

Cecelia had been glancing around for the figure and had not looked properly at the person in front of her. She realized this upon hearing her disconcerted tone. “Oh, I’m sorry for startling you,” she said quickly. “Yes, I saw some one just over there,” she said as she looked up and pointed to the area just past the women, where she had seen it, “or at least I thought so.” Noticing some interest, Cecelia decided to explain more. “I heard a rumor earlier about a mysterious ethereal figure appearing here. I had assumed it was fake but-” she glanced around again, “Well I certainly saw something, and it was sparkly- I don’t know.” She had never believed in ghosts or anything supernatural really, so something she couldn’t explain shook her just a little bit. She could hear it a little bit in her voice, so she cleared her throat, “If you’re curious, would you want to go look around a bit?” litian Of course and no problem. Thanks for joining me! biggrin

"It's okay" Mi-Hi said, because it wasn't really that big a deal - well at least not to her. "There's no need to apologise."
Her lips quirked up in a somewhat rueful smile as she admitted "I'm the one that wasn't paying attention."
And whilst it had been somewhat embarrassing to be caught of guard as she had - Mi-Hi knew that that was kind of on her rather than the other woman.
She had tilted her head thoughtfully when the taller woman mentioned that she'd someone just behind her, as green eyes automatically followed the path that the other's hand was pointing in–
Although there was nothing there that she could see.
Still the description sounded awfully familiar.
"Oh I didn't realise that there was a rumour about this place" Mi-Hi admitted, "But I believe you about the figure."
She hesitated for a moment before adding "I saw a sparkly figure fluttering around when I visited here last." She paused and thought about it before adding "Well at least I thought that I saw a figure and it was kind of sparkly too, but then I kind of lost track of it."
Well at least Sadalsuud had been the one to see the figure, but the figure had been sparkly and also had been fluttering around–
And it wasn't like anyone was counting.

Hearing about her experience and description, Cecelia felt a wave of relief wash over her. “Sounds like the same thing! That means it’s probably real. Well, it makes me feel better that you’ve seen it too. Oh, where are my manners, -” she extends her hand to shake, “I’m Cecelia”. Upon finishing her introduction, a puzzled look spread across her face, “The question remains, where did it go…?” She looks up and notices a sparkling in the grass between them and where the figure had been. “What’s that?” She walked over to inspect, hoping it will give them a clue about the figure. However, when she picks it up she realizes it’s one of the charms that the city has been giving out. “Someone must have dropped it.” She looked around again for any clues.

Mi-Hi reached out to shake the offered hand "It's nice to meet you Cecelia" she said with a friendly smile "I'm Mi-Hi.. Mi-Hi Harrington."
She belatedly realised that she hadn't actually answered Cecelia's question from before "And yes I wouldn't mind taking a closer look" she tilted the disposable camera in offering as she added "My camera's not the best, but I have some snaps left on the camera that I could use for photos?"
She made it a question, and then her lips curved in a wry smile as she added "Well at least if we uncover anything."
Mi-Hi followed after Cecelia and looked in interest as the other reached down to pick up something that sparkled on the ground, before realising that it was one of the many star charms that was being given out across the city.
"Do you collect them too?"
Mi-Hi did, kind of, in a sort of abstract way and tried to at least get a green one when she had the chance.
This year she'd managed to snag both the emerald and the gold star charm, even if she'd picked up said gold charm earlier on in the morning when she'd picked up a matcha latte from the coffee shop.
