Romanite sighed quietly to himself as he pocketed the small orb he had managed to collect earlier that day. It hadn't been much, but at least it was something. A start. He wished he could have collected more, but with how popular the city was during the summer, he wasn't about to risk unwanted attention. ******** crowds

Just no. You could not pay him enough. He didn't care if that meant he had to go out later. He'd do it later.

A voice piped up suddenly and the Lieutenant yelped in surprise. Spinning around, he summoned his weapon and held it above his head as if to throw it.

He would not be caught of guard from behind. Not again.

After a moment, Romanite blinked, slowly lowering his arm. "I... Ah. Sorry." He offered weakly. "I do not like being surprised." A lame excuse, but an honest one. "But no. I am not doing 'bad things'." He couldn't help but roll his eyes, making air quotes with his free hand.

Romanite did feel a little bit bad for scaring the girl. He hadn't meant to...

"Lieutenant Romanite. It's nice to meet you, despite the initial surprise." The mention of candy caught him off guard again. This was definitely not how he expected this day to go. "Um.. Sure. I'll have some. Though I have nothing to give in return for this."

He tilted his head curiously, taking in the girls appearance. "Forgive me for this but... What are you? I've never seen a senshi like you before." Sure, not many people had horns coming out of their heads, but one could always chalk that up to their uniform. What caught his attention were the ears and tail that moved."

Huh... So they were real. "Sorry. I don't mean to keep staring." She was quite the sight. Maybe being this girls friend wouldn't be so bad.

"Ah... I'm sorry for whatever happened. I can understand coming from a shitty home life...." Romanite offered her a small smile. "It... It will take time, and it may not seem like it at first but you will grow from that experience. For the better, I hope." He took the offered treat, eyeing it. Some brand he'd never heard of, but he was still try it all the same.

"Well... I do hope your time here has been a pleasant one? Do you have any questions? I will do my best to answer them." He said as he unwrapped the candy and popped it into his mouth. "It does not have to be about this side of things either." He said, gesturing a hand between the two of them. "Any questions at all."

Romanite laughed quietly to himself. While he had no intention of 'saving' himself from Chaos, he wasn't about to tell her that. She'd figure it out eventually, but for now he was content to let her live in bliss.

He blinked, as the candy suddenly became gummy. Oh how weird. He hadn't expected that. Romanite turned to her, ready to ask just where she'd gotten these candies from when he found that his mouth was... stuck shut? The Lieutenant made a funny face, and an equally confused noise. But try as he might, he just could not open his mouth.

Great.

A scowl settled over his face, with a growl to match. He waved a hand in frustration. Too bad for him he wasn't paying attention as one of the bats went flying from his hand and struck Ersa.
