Theodore didn't really like the star festival much, it wasn't exactly a great time for them to forage for food, because the streets were active for hours, and those strange magic people patrolled around at the twilight hours and he just really
really didn't want to meet them for some reason. Really, he wanted his cat, but they hadn't seen him for awhile and figured it was because of the summer heat, so that left Theodore begrudgingly lonely and wandering around the festival despite, again, disliking it greatly. They managed to occupy themselves (and nick a teensy bit of food off abandoned tables) until nightfall, when they headed to the park to gaze at the one good thing about the festival; the lights. Theodore loved the lights lighting up the park, even though the brightness did somehow manage to creep into his little abandoned shed, they gave him a sense of calm anyways. He made his way through the park, paying no mind to the little creatures that called it home, he did too after all, when he noticed movement of something that was definitely not something 'little'. It was a person, Theo thought, shimmering, glittering as they seemed to glide around. Theodore was terribly confused, and a bit scared. They knew people loitered around the park, especially unsavory types, but he was normally safe as he could be in his shed, which noone ever seemed to bother, by this time of night, a few candles and a battery powered lamp helping him see as he tried to write, or read what books he had taken with him from home. He didn't want to engage the mystery person, but they didn't the person to come to harm either, he actually did doubt if the person was one of those magic people that ran around the town, at least, he was pretty sure they weren't, something about the outfit seemed wrong, at least what they could make out of it, and again, the gliding, which was weird and reminded Theo of a cartoon he watched a long time ago. In a move that shocked Theodore himself, he made to follow them. Weaving through the woods, past familiar points, and the darker parts noone had decorated because of the density, Theodore kept pace just behind the mysterious person. And where Theodore, who had been living in the woods for several months, who should have been expertly dodging the branches and brambles lying on the ground, was having a difficult time and had tripped once, the figure just floated on, crossing the parks grounds as if it were nothing. He nearly caught up to the figure when he seemed to trip again on.... "Is this...a pillow?" And it was, a rather new pillow too, where had it come from theo wondered. When did the figure have time to get this out? No matter, Theodore got back up, intending to follow the figure again, but when he looked around he realized he was at his little shed, hidden in the woods. He...he hadn't even gone that way last he checked, the mystery person had went the entire opposite way! Freaked out, and a bit dizzy with the info, Theodore simply made his way back to the shed, wondering if he was just pranked or what.
