Annie sat there in the park on a bench waiting for her bestie. It seemed like she was always late recently, either way, she was content to watch the soccer match going on until she arrived. It was strange since she didn't know that Ever apparently played soccer and was pretty good at it. She took a couple of selfies and posted to her snap, one of the pictures saying ‘bored and alone without a bestie’ she made sure to tag Sahara as well. One of the guys scored a goal and she was back to paying attention again, admiring some of the eye candy.

Ever was enjoying himself, running the ball back and forth trying to score. The game was close and he was driving the ball, passing it back and forth. When it was passed to him again he had an opening and he took it, shooting past the goalie and laughing as the guys celebrated and patted him on the back.

He wiped his face with her shirt, catching his breath and figuring he should stop for water soon. He didn't notice Annie sitting on the bench at first, but caught sight of the red hair when he was running back up the grass. He gave her a curious look before a teammate passed to him and he
turned to drive the ball back toward their goal.

Annie tilted her head at the look, shrugging and mouthing Saharah in response, leaning back on the bench with a sigh. She started recording snippets of the soccer game, posting some on Snap with little quirky captions. One of the boys caught her eye and she looked for a bit longer than she should, liking the look of his abs. Who on Earth gave that due the right to be so ripped? Not even her abs were that amazing. She was totally jealous. Eventually, she sent a text to her bestie asking where the hell she was at. When no response was received, she got up and dusted herself off. Maybe she should just head home, it was weird being here and doing nothing when she could be racing or beating her dads a** in street fighter.

Everest finished his game about ten minutes later and went to grab his water, drowning it, half tempted to douse himself with it. He noticed Annie was still there though she wasn’t sitting on the bench anymore.

He grabbed his things and jogged over to her, “Hara still not here yet? I wonder whats up with that …”

Sahara was usually pretty punctual and she knew Ever was going to the park so she could have just rode with him. He fanned himself, trying to cool off wishing for a cold shower, a dip in the pool, anything to get a break from the heat.

“Yeah I don't know where she is. I'm about to go home….Apparently one of my uncles has a pool and it is definitely calling my name.” She started to fan herself as well, reaching into her small bag to pull out a huge water bottle. “You want some? I haven't had any yet and it's still ice cold.” Playing anything in this weather would really take its toll on you so hydration is very important. After that she would go to the car and head to her dad’s house. He said something about going over to uncle Xanders to swim outside.

Ever barely heard anything after the word pool, reaching out and happily taking the water and drinking it down. “Thanks Annie, now what's this about a pool, because i'm about to melt and a pool sounds fantastic. I would kill for a shower and lounge in a pool.”

He handed back the half empty water bottle not really even thinking about it and pulled out his phone to see if he gotten any texts from his sister, but he didn't have one from her. He shot her a text to let her know her best friend was waiting and turned his attention back to Annie.

“I’ve got nothing from Hara.”

So she wasn't expecting him to down half her water supply but…

“Yeah so my uncle Xander has a pool at his house. All my cousins are going to be there and there is a jacuzzi.” She found it weird that her little brothers could swim so early but apparently all the babies could swim. “So you know my baby brothers right? They can swim, including their cousins and they are almost all the same age…. Do you have swim shorts and stuff? There should be changing rooms and showers as well, Uncle’s house is pretty big.” She checked her phone with a smile, “She says she's on her way now, something about her board needing to be fixed.” She wanted to brag that she was the favorite but decided to save being an a*****e for later. “Did you want me to text Ash to see if she wants to come?”

Everest nodded when she asked about her baby brothers, he was pretty sure he heard her mention them before. He was surprised to hear they could all swim, but he supposed it wasnt that uncommon any more. Baby swim lessons started really young now, to prevent accidental drowning.

“I haven't got my swim shorts with me, but I've got an extra pair of basketball shorts, otherwise I could go buy some real quick, there are a bunch of shops nearby.”

He nodded, “that means she had to go back home, no wonder she's not here yet. I've got time to grab swim trunks. Tell her to meet us at the store.”

He shook his head at texting Ash, “trust me, she’d have texted if she wasn't busy.”

“Alright, I'll follow you then I can let you follow me to my uncles.” She was super excited! This went from being a fairly uneventful day to something fun! After sending a text to Sahara, Annie sent a text to her dad and Rose to let them know she was on her way with some friends. Hopefully, her bestie wouldn't be late going to the store.

Everest nodded, “yeah, we can walk to the stores, they are just outside the park. A quick walk back to the cars and I’ll be right behind you. I am more than ready for a pool day and I'm curious to see how well those babies can swim.”

He motioned for Annie to follow him and headed out of the back. The store he had in mind was only a 5 minute walk outside the park and it was pretty pointless to drive.
