What was more lively than dancing? With the music filling the air around her, Willow stood in the cafe and danced to her heart’s content. It wasn’t a dance floor or stage, and the other customers were staring with either annoyance or confused amusement. It wasn’t long before everyone was just watching with delight though. Willow had no official training, but her love for movement shined through clearly. She didn’t care if every movement wasn’t perfect. She was just having fun!

On his lunch break, Lioe had decided that he would actually go out and try eating at his favorite cafe. The alternative was his usual habit of sitting in the peace and privacy of the bookshop with a homemade sandwich, but he had been starting to appreciate being around others a little bit more. He had met some interesting people lately. Maybe he could meet someone else today?
Oh, but maybe not that person… Some woman was dancing in the cafe with reckless abandon. Strange. He shook his head and found a seat near the front and away from the noise.

Willow spun and jumped and laughed gayly, feeling as free as could be. Home was stories of illness and death and strife. Here, people laughed and smiled and ate and drank. She wasn’t worried about a thing! With a big grin, she reached out to the nearest person and pulled them to their feet. “Everybody up!” she called out. She moved through the cafe, grabbing at random customers. Surprisingly, many did get up and start dancing as well. Only a few grumbled and remained seated.
When she saw the thin hybrid enter, she immediately locked her gaze onto him and switched her path around to pass him. “Dance with me!” she chirped as she grabbed his arm and yanked.

Lioe ducked his head down when he realized the whole cafe was being pulled into the ruckus. Of all the days for him to come, why did it have to be today? ’I really should have just stayed at the shop.’ He looked up to wave to a server. At the least, he could order food to go back to the shop with. He yelped with surprise when his arm was grabbed and a strong force yanked him to his feet.
Face quickly heating, he met the Geian’s eyes and shook his head. “I- uh- n-no thanks.”

Well, wasn’t this guy just adorable? Willow clicked her tongue and shook her head. “Come on. Live a little! You look like you need to get your blood flowing.” She grinned and pulled him after her to swing around. “It’s good for your heart and your soul! Look how happy everyone else is.” She swept her free hand out toward those that had chosen to get up at her prompting.

Dang, this woman was strong! Lioe couldn’t help but be pulled into the swing of the woman’s momentum, his face heating even further. “No, I-I don’t dance. Really.” Rather than the other’s graceful movements, Lioe’s limbs flailed out in a discoordinated tangle of appendages. He probably would have fallen as well had he not been supported by his arm still.

Seeing the young man struggling, Willow slowed down just a little to let him catch up. If he could. “Maybe you don’t, but you could.” She smiled encouragingly and pointed to the crowd again. “Do you think all of these people dance on the regular? You’ve totally got this! Just follow me.” She spun with him again to make her point. The bards were surely almost done with their playing anyway, so she needed to make the most of the moment!

“I really don’t-!” Lioe squawked as he was pulled around once more. This time, he managed to keep his feet under him. It was all he could do to keep moving so that he wasn’t just being thrown around! The swung back by his chair and he took the opportunity. “I mean it,” he huffed. He hooked his leg to the chair and pushed himself back into the seat as hard as he could to try escaping the boisterous female!

Willow thought she saw a bit of fun flicker across the other’s face, but his disgruntled pout covered most of it. The pull caught her off guard and she went forward with a yelp. She fell straight onto Lioe’s lap and wrapped her arms around his neck to keep from falling to the floor. After a breath, she burst out laughing and sat up. “Well, I see how it is.” The music suddenly stopped and she looked up with a pout. “Aww, it’s over already?”

If Lioe’s face was warm before, it was lava now. This strange woman was pressed firmly against him with all of her curves… and now she was just sitting there on his lap with her assets showing off. “Yeah-it’s-done-you-can-get-off-me-thanks,” he panted out in one quick breath. The dancing had been exhausting, and now his heart was in his throat for an entirely different reason.

Willow laughed with utter delight. “By the graces, you really are adorable. Thanks for catching me though.” She lingered for an extra moment to give his shoulders a squeeze before she swept herself over into the nearby chair. “You’d be a good dancer if you gave it a chance, you know?” She pushed her hair back from her face and signaled to a server. “Water, please! For both me and my pal here.”

Lioe grunted dismissively and turned to rest his head on the table. “No, I don’t think so.” Good gods, what if his family had seen that? Pal?! He turned his head to gawk at the woman. He could certainly agree to the water, but pal?’ “Who even are you?” he panted out, completely overwhelmed by the other’s forward nature. He’d never seen anything like it!

Willow leaned back in her chair and put one arm onto the table to rest. The boy there might be less than pleased, but she could feel the energy snapping through her like lightning. She could move a mountain if she wanted to! She was panting softly, but didn’t seem tired at all. “Me? Oh, of course. My name is Willow.” She cocked her head and smiled sweetly. “Sorry. I do usually introduce myself first. What’s your name?”

Lioe huffed softly. “Willow, huh?” Willow sounded like such a delicate name meant for a proper lady. Meanwhile, this Willow was more likely to be named Fire or Volcano! He debated for a moment before he sighed and straightened up. “I’m.. Lioe.” He nodded to the server as the water pitcher was brought over and set down with two glasses. He was irritated but he did have his manners; he poured a glass for Willow first and then one for himself. “Do you always accost innocent diners or is today a special case?”

Accost?! Willow burst out laughing again. “Oh good sir, that was a selfless act of kindness on my part. You looked like you needed to get up and move.” She took up the offered glass and drank back a few gulps. Ahh, that was good. “Lioe then. Nice.” She leaned back with her glass and smirked lightly. “So you’re telling me you had no fun then?”
