Akel 1
She sat at her desk messing with the ingredients of an antivenom. She needed to mix them together for them to be effective but she was waiting on the base to heat up. Akel hated the waiting part of it all but it was for a good outcome so she supposed it wasn’t a terrible waste.

“Oma! Oma!” She screeched as she hopped and jumped her way into her mother’s little workshop. After the day she’d spent on the beach with her cousin and the others she’d been wound for sound. Not that it was really anyone’s fault. “Guess what?”

When she heard the hopping she knew that her daughter was on her way. Of course the calling out also alerted her. She turned her head to look at her child as she entered the room. “Hm? What is it?” She had no idea what to even guess at with her.

“We went to the beach and had lots of fun.” She blurted out. Of course her mother already knew that as the plans had been laid out by Enya before hand. “Vetra came too.” She of course had to mention the other Elidae. She had been around for a while but it hadn’t been a bother.

“Mhm. I know.” She nodded her head in agreement. Akel also knew that Enya’s friend went with them. “Did you have fun?” She hoped her little one enjoyed it. It had given her a much needed break from her energetic daughter but it also allowed Kyllha to spend time with others.

“I did!” SHe hopped in place as she looked at her Oma. “We ran into someone on the beach. Her name is Ilsa. I like her.” She continued on, telling her mother about the adventure they’d had. “She’s really strong. We should keep her.” A nod followed her words.

“Really?” She thought she remembered the name. Perhaps she’d caught it in passing through a conversation or something. There was no face to it though. She lifted a brow when her little girl suggested keeping Ilsa. “Sweetheart.. That’s not how that works. You can’t just keep people.” Well, that wasn’t entirely true but it also wasn’t something she needed to let Kyllha know about.

“Why not? Ilsa is strong. And she’s fun.” This time she had no bounce to her as she put her hands on her hips and eyed her mother with a serious expression. “She was able to carry me through the waves and then threw me at Vetra!” Her hands left her hips so she could throw her arms out to either side in a dramatic display.

“... I’m not gonna ask why she threw you at your cousin’s friend.” The older woman reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose. Knowing her daughter it was likely her idea to begin with. A sigh escaped her but at the same time she was notified that the base for her anitvenom was done heating up. So she turned her head to look before moving to remove the substance from the flame.

“Well you see.. Vetra was picking on me for being small. And then she decided to kidnap Enya.” Her hands moved with different expressions as she explained the events. “And I obviously can’t let that stand. So Ilsa offered to help me out.” A large grin spread across her face.

“Annnnd that equaled into you being thrown.. How?” She questioned as she moved to add the first ingredient to the warmed substance. She kept her eye on her little one at the same time, dividing her attention between the two. While it was clear her baby hadn’t gotten hurt she was still a bit concerned.

“Well it was the fastest way to get the bad Vetra.” She concluded with some sass. Her hands went back to her hips. “I got her.” A nod followed to give extra confirmation.

“I see. Well… you didn’t get hurt.” An obvious statement since Enya hadn’t come and told her or Pruu about it. “I assume Vetra gave up being bad afterward?” She added the second ingredient quickly and looked at her child.

“Obviously! She’s no match for a flying Kyllha!” She giggled. Her hands left her hips and she moved closer to her Oma so that she could be nosy about what it was she was doing. She knew that her mother messed with poisons in her workshop but it was always neat to see.

“I don’t think anyone is a match for a flying Kyllha.” And wasn’t that the truth. What would the other sisters do if they suddenly had a youngling airborne at them. It was amazing that Vetra hadn’t decided to leave after that. The thought made her smirk a little.
