Auali'i was at the stage where she needed to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. In the past, she was a go-with- the- flow type of person and didn't take too many things too seriously but now it was the time to take things seriously and figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She wondered what reality had to offer her and it was something she needed to get advice on and she had decided that perhaps her dad would have some input on her situation.

Aki was outside tending to their garden and humming to himself, he had to admit that doing good honest hard work had calming aspects to it. He had watched his girls grow from cute little babies to be able to fend for themselves and express themselves, he admittedly was starting to miss the point in time when the girls relied on him and Akea to take care of them, feed them and put them to bed. Now they were both at the age where they wanted to go out and be independent. He let out a soft sigh, he had so much time on his hands now that he wasn't sure what to do with it.

She tapped her chin the most likely place she would find her father was probably out in the garden, he did tend to it when everything else that needed to be done was done and had some free time. She noticed he had taken up another hobby of fishing on the side perhaps because he had made a friend that enjoyed fishing. She was glad he had found things to do in his free time. She let out a sigh as she made her way out of the garden, why was figuring out what you wanted to do so hard?

He looked up from the garden as he saw Auali'i walking out, he tilted his head to the side curiously. He frowned a bit as he noticed that she was preoccupied with something but he wasn't sure what. He got up and dusted his legs off of dirt and approached her "Sweetheart, what is on your mind?" he asked her in a gentle tone.

She blinked as she heard her father she looked up "Hmm?" she asked him, and let out a small sigh "Sorry dad, I'm a little preoccupied with something" she told him before looking at her father covered in dirt which made her smile a bit. "How is the garden doing?" she asked him as she shifted her gaze to study their family garden, it looked like it was thriving.

"That is quite alright," he asked with a smile and squeezed her shoulder lightly, his frown deepened a bit more as she mentioned that she was preoccupied with something. He figured he would give her a few minutes before asking her what was bothering her. He looked at their family garden "it's doing really well, we might have a good harvest this year, which will elate your mother and grandparents" he chuckled lightly.

She grinned and looked at her father "That's wonderful news to hear, Mom and our grandpas would enjoy that" she agreed, that was one of the many things she liked about her family they were all about growing their own fruits and veggies, with lots of tender loving care and they always tasted wonderful. So hence now they grow and eat their own crops.

Akiliano let out another chuckle "That it is" he said and then looked back at his daughter "Now...princess...tell me what is on your mind" he said "You looked like you were troubled by something" he said as he stirred them both over to a bench that was set up by the garden. He used their home-grown fruits in his morning smoothies and it was delicious.

She let out a soft sigh, she knew her dad would ask eventually but was glad he gave her some time before he did. Her parents were like that, when she or Vaia had something on their minds either both her parents will notice or one of them would notice but then would give them a bit before they asked. She sat down beside him "I'm just having difficulty deciding what I want to do with my life" she said thinking about it. She was getting to that age were she needed to figure out her life or at least have an idea of what it was she wanted to do.

Akiliano nodded his head as he listened to Au, he couldn't relate to what she was going through but he could try and offer some advice about it "Well, choosing a career is not something that you would discover overnight, that takes time" he said "Its mostly the matter of what you are passionate about or interested in that helps you determine what your career is" he told her. Auali'i had options, Akea was a treasure hunter and He was a ranger.

She nodded her head as she listened to her father's words "What are you and mother?" she asked him. That was something she didn't about her parents and what careers they chose. She knew that they both loved tending to the family garden but did they actually do when they weren't, she couldn't remember if her parents ever told them.

"Well, for starters your mother is a treasure hunter and I'am a ranger," he told her and they were a good team. Akea would go dig around for treasure and he would protect her from behind to make sure she was safe and that no one would harm her so it worked out to their advantage. "Though I can't tell you what your grandparents are even I don't know that," he said with a light chuckle.

She nodded her head so she had options to choose from, which gave her some peace of mind but that still didn't help her ignore the fact that she needed to figure it out or at least have an idea of what she wanted to be. She let out a soft sigh of exasperation "But, where did that decision come from?" she asked him curiously, she wondered if Vaia was having the same issue or not.

"I decided that because I wanted to be able to protect those I care about at a distance," he said thinking about it, but would also do it close if he didn't have a choice. "Sweetheart, you are thinking about it a little too much. I know its a lot of pressure to decide right at this moment but its really not. You can take as long or as short as you want or for however long it takes for you to decide" he reassured her.

She let out another soft sigh perhaps her father was right maybe she was putting too much pressure on herself to decide what she wanted to do at this moment. She smiled a little as he reassured her that she could take her time "I think, I might do that" she told him thinking about it for a little bit. Perhaps, it was better to take her time to figure out what she really wanted.
