Quote: The Wishing Tree (2) : Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to ‘grant’ it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone? You may get approval from another player to use the wish their character hung up, but no names are attached so your character may not ever know who wrote it! After Satori hung her wish, she reunited with her twin sister Nemu. Both of them visited the Wishing Tree as recommended by Lepus. As a once-a-year and almost one of that once-a-yearly-summertime event, Satori thought it was a good idea for the both of them to go see it. After they got their fill of the tree and then some, the both of them could probably pay a visit to the arcade and try to test their luck on the newly restocked crane game machines. After all, there was a twin star plush she wanted to win this time around. Before that could happen, she recalled that she had to try fulfilling a wish on the tree after having hung hers. Instead of instinctively reaching out for a random wish to try fulfilling (and make the world a slightly better place), she decided to check up on something first. “Hey, Nemu, would you want me to pick a wish out to grant, or do you want to do it?” Satori asked. It was almost a bit shocking just how polite she was even to herself, but she figured that Nemu would be downright bothered if she didn’t at least extend the offer first. It’s only fair to do so, after all. At least, this was based on the group projects she had to endure at school. There were times when she was grouped with classmates she didn’t have a very strong opinion of (ie: poor), but hey, she decided to be the better person and cooperated with her group in the end. nyamomask Hey, do you want them to try interacting with stray cats or something

Nemu had gone with her sister to the Wishing Tree on Alise's suggestion, though whereas Sato had hung her wish up on tree, Nemu had kept hers private, even from her sister, and buried it in a quiet spot in the park where she felt it would go undisturbed. 'I wish I could be less cursed' was certainly a very personal wish and fell into the realm of 'self-gain', so there was no point in hanging it up... not to mention, it could fall into the hands of someone who wanted to bully her! So she had briefly separated from Sato, did her thing, and came back to rejoin the other green-haired girl, hopefully without her twin catching on to what she had done. Just to be sure, though, Nemu had hung a wish on the tree, something about wanting the crane games to be less rigged, something she was certain Satori would agree with, because if there was something the two knew firsthand, it was how much money those things ate. Sato suggested they grand a wish, too, and Nemu was surprised to hear those words coming from her twin's mouth. They were still gradeschoolers, but their parents were pretty wealthy, so this didn't seem like a bad idea, so long as they got an easy wish that was possible for them to fufill. "Um... I-I'll do it!" the girl volunteered, even though she felt she was a magnet for misfortune to befall upon herself. Reaching for the nearest wish, Nemu unveiled the one she had chosen. Quote: I wish that someone could help trap the stray kittens around Reines Fleuries. "T-Trap...? What do they mean by trap...?" Nemu pondered; she vaguely knew what Reines Fleuries was- a flower shop Papa would sometimes buy flowers for Mama from- but why did they want the cats to be 'trapped'?

“Well, well, well! I think this is a fine wish for us to grant,” Sato’s eyes twinkled, and grinned to herself. It was clear that she had ideas in mind, and they may or may not be clever or wise. To make it abundantly clear what she had in mind, Sato fished out the tools she had in hand daily whenever she went outdoors. It was a fairly sizable and extendable butterfly net. Sato turned her head and then asked Nemu, “Do you think we could catch stray cats with this?” While she asked, she examined the durability of her net. It was a new model she convinced Papa to buy for her this year, which was an exchange for making an attempt to start on her summer homework early. ‘All good!’ Sato nodded to herself and smiled upon seeing that the net was as sturdy and strong as ever. “I can go grab a spare one for you if you want to join catching cats with me,” Sato added. She was serious about this suggestion. Never mind the fact that Sato knew that Nemu usually didn’t engage in these sorts of activities. It’s just that having two hands on deck was better than one.

Nemu wasn't sure what to expect when Sato had jumped on the chance to grant the wish she had pulled, but catching cats in a bug net wasn't it. Maybe she should have, because who else knew her twin better than Nemu herself? Still, she looked very surprised, because when she asked Sato about what the note had meant about 'trapping kittens', she hadn't thought of that... ...Though, she seemed to recall something like that happening in the old cartoons she and Sato would sometimes watch on the weekends, where the pound would drive around and catch cats and dogs with their nets. Nemu supposed it was a valid idea, maybe, but it still seemed wrong, somehow. "I-Is that really safe...?" she asked, though Nemu didn't have any other ideas.

Sato blinked upon hearing Nemu’s question. To her, it sounded quite… silly. “Of course it’s safe! I’ve used this net dozens of times to catch bugs, really, really big bugs…. so why not cats?” Sato nodded affirmingly, approving this rationale all by herself without any further evidence to support it. It’s hard to tell if she was being totally serious or was teetering towards dry comedic territory, but by the glint in her eyes and a positive grin on her face… she was serious. “Soo… let’s go to the uh Reinest... Reines? Reines Fleoresu place and catch some cats! Time’s a-wasting and no point in wasting more time thinking too hard!” Sato exclaimed. “Okay?” Well, Sato made her best attempt at pronouncing “Reines Fleuries,” the place the wish assigned their granting task towards. Without waiting for her twin sister or her reaction or answer, Aomori began to jog away along with her net. It seems clear that she knew where it was, which was quite easy. Nearby the twins were at the very place the wish asked them to go and fulfill. It was an ornate flower shop festooned with a myriad of plant life. The good news was that the plant life there was marked as safe for pets (ie: cats). However, based on what the wish explained, there were cats to encounter and capture on sight. nyamomask good luck with catching at least one cat sato... and sorry nemu, your sister is a gremlin on the loose

Nemu was still skeptical of her sister's plans, but had no further time to dwell on it or make her sister see reason, as Satori was already taking off in the direction of the flower shop, leaving Nemu with no choice but to rush after her. Would the person who wrote the wish really be okay with a couple of grade schoolers catching cats with a net? Surely they had meant for the potential cat trappers to go about this in a different manner, but Nemuri couldn't quite recall of how the 'experts' trapped strays. Sato had already made up her mind, though, so Nemu could only hope that this didn't end (too) badly. "W-Wait up...!" the green-haired girl called out after her twin, already regretting choosing this wish to fufill.

Armed with her bug-turned-cat-catching net, Satori glanced around the exterior of the flower shop. It didn’t occur to her that her skulking around the property would make her appear highly suspicious if not downright comical, but it was too late for her to have second thoughts. She stopped close and lowered herself, hiding among some tall plants. Through the gaps, she saw a fluffy cat licking its paw behind some potted plants. Sato’s eyes widened and immediately shrunk further to conceal her presence. At this point, it was almost as if she was in a spy film or something. Either way, she found one of the many cats. It would have been more convenient to see more of them in one go, but catching even one cat for the shop should help fulfill the wish. Then, she whispered to herself, “Oh wow… there really was a cat around here… would it help if I catch that one and have it out to its friends? Will that work like that? Hmm.. what is the cat doing…?” Sato squinted her eyes, carefully observing her target. Close behind her were footsteps from a clearly nervous Nemu, who likely had more common sense than her sister.

Nemuri arrived at the flower shop just in time to watch her twin sister sneak up on a cat with her bug net, still very clearly determined to follow through with her plans of catching cats with nets. She froze, unsure of what to do. Should she attempt to warn the cat, even though they were here to help trap them? Spook it off, maybe? But then that'd defeat the purpose of what they were there for, right? Oh, she couldn't bear to watch!

Sato’s net landed squarely on the fluffy cat, but the cat instinctively dodged just in time and darted away past the two girls. “Aw man… missed it,” Sato pouted. This wasn’t what she expected, not that she imagined the cat to get easily captured. Cats were known to be slippery, after all… but, Sato prized her ability to tail a target. As the wish hadn’t been fulfilled yet, she may as well keep up with the chase. And chase she did. “Hey, Nemu! Let’s follow that cat!” Sato hollered as she pursued the fluffy cat. There’s no way she’d get bamboozled, at least, not today!

Nemu let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding when the cat Sato tried to catch get away, feeling a bit relieved even though they were supposed to be here to help capture some cats. Honestly, she wasn't sure what their next step would be when (or if) they ultimately did succeed in catching a cat or two, really! How would Sato transport her 'prize' when she had only a bug net, and no cat carrier? Before she could suggest that they maybe come back another time, though, Sato took off after the cat that had gotten away from them, and Nemu, ever the suffering twin, jogged after her sister, not wanting to be left behind (again). "M, Maybe we should ask for help?" she called after Sato, as she tried to keep up.

“Uh... not yet? No help yet! I think we’re super close to the cat now!” Sato shouted back to Nemu as she sped around the perimeter and turning sharply at a corner. Was it wise to run around the property? No idea. Would it constitute as trespassing? Maybe. Still, a wish is still a wish. Eventually, she came across the same cat nestled on top of a barrel. Grinning, Sato swung her bug net and whap! and a soft “hwahmeow?!” (from the cat) later, a cat was finally captured. Sato kept the net firmly in place as much as possible as she approached the fluffy cat… who wasn’t making much of an effort to escape. “Okay… cat… no hard feelings and… I have no idea how I’m going to get you to the store, but I have to turn you in,” Sato remarked to the strangely calm, fluffy cat.

Nemu stood by and watched as Sato swung the net once more, because there was no stopping her twin now. Just as the net came down, though, Nemu could have sworn... was this a different cat? It was very blink and you miss, because the cat was caught in the net before she could get a better look, but was that a star? "Sato, wait! I think that's-" but it was too late, and the cat was caught. Meanwhile, the 'strangely calm' cat happened to be none other than a certain sweets-loving Mauvian. Having been caught in the crossfire unexpectedly, the kitten found herself scooped up in a net, unawares of the hows or whys of what just went down only a couple of minutes ago. "Oh!" the kitten exclaimed, as she was scooped up unexpectedly; she probably shouldn't have spoken too soon, because she didn't know who her captor was, but it was all so sudden. ("I think... that's Alise's cat?" Nemu spoke up, moments too late to stop anything from happening.)

Alise’s cat? Wait, what? How preposterous! And yet… “E-etoile..?!” Sato was flabbergasted with the cat in her arms. With Etoile’s vivid round eyes staring back at her, it was certain that the extremely calm cat she caught was no other than a Mauvian, and not just any plain ol’ cat. Drat! Despite this, she couldn’t help but inquire once more, just for confirmation. Also, normal cats wouldn’t be able to answer any of her questions, and yet she continued to persist with the interrogation? That aside… “Okay… I’m not sure if you know anything, Etoile… Etoile, right? But, have you seen any other cat snooping around this flower shop? You see, I’m looking to fulfill a wish asking about catching cats around here…”

"Hmm... well," Etoile tilted her head quizzically as she tried to think, the dusty cogwheels in her little kitty brain turning, "I don't know, actually~" ("You... don't know?" Nemu repeated, very confused as to how Etoile came to be hanging around the flower shop, then, if not for the other cats.) "I heard there were two senshi that live here, and one of them really really likes cats, so..." The Mauvian paused, as her stomach started to rumble, reminding her of why she was here to begin with. "Hmm... well, I thought there would be food, but I haven't found anyone giving out candy... You don't happen to have any, do you?"

“I don’t have any candy, I’m afraid,” Sato shrugged her shoulders and stared plainly at Etoile. “Are you hungry, by any chance?” In this brief moment, Sato forgot that she was on a quest to fulfill a wish. Well, not entirely, but admittedly, she was beginning to feel a bit hungry herself. She wasn’t entirely sure if she could place any further stock in Etoile, but considering her voracious appetite for sweets and her connection with Lepus, it wouldn’t do to just dismiss her outright. It’d be disrespectful. And again, she was feeling a bit hungry herself.
