The Wishing Tree (2) : Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to ‘grant’ it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone? You may get approval from another player to use the wish their character hung up, but no names are attached so your character may not ever know who wrote it!
This was stupid.
This was so stupid.
Somehow, as Strix - turned - Pax had discovered, that perceived stupidity had not warded them off from taking one of the WIshing Tree's wishes and scrutizing it deeply. Not that they were going to put their own up! Because that would be stupid, of course. Who did stuff like this. Even without names attached, anyone could see a person write something and find out how embarrassing they'd been. Absolutely no thanks!! They refused to ever be embarrassed, ever, at least not willingly. Idling around the area as Pax also seemed to be a recipe for people to not bother them as much, or at least people generally assumed they had something to do that was a reason for being here, which was... not not true?
It was so stereotypical it made them grimace, but they really did like taking festival candids with a terrible little disposable camera and seeing what resulted. Strangers, unafraid, unaware. Sometimes it made people shine. Sometimes it caught unguarded moments that people would not otherwise allow. They'd thought that maybe one of these wishes would be at least not cringe, but, uh.
Uh. Well.
Pax read the wish (written out in slightly-smeared black ink) and promptly turned about as pink as their eyes. You couldn't just say that!! What if kids were going to read it!! Kids like that little rat over there in a stupid outfit - oh, yeah, that was a senshi or something, wasn't she. Exactly their point.
"Beat it," they snapped, before she could get any funny ideas like asking them what'd made them blush so badly. Kids were always loud, and sticky, and way too annoying to deal with.

Mabella remembered the last time she had dealt with grumpy adults from before when she was gathering pods from the weird tree and now here they were again to push her around. She readied herself if they tried to push her around this time she was going to attack and show them she was no push over, they looked so distressed this time which she thought was weird they had seemed so angry with her being a kid and in their way last time. She wasn't sure it would be a good idea to engage and she didn't really care about how they felt so she didn't want to ask. Instead, she went to look at the wishes on the tree reading each of them and going to the wish that Pax had made she cocked her eyebrow reading it. It really wasn't something a kid should read but she was 13 so she was old enough to understand what was going on and she rolled her eyes at the situation.
She turned away and couldn't help the funny look on her face like a kid who had just been in health class. She was still young and she didn't know everything about being an adult since she was still a kid. She had never even had a boyfriend. She wasn't sure she wanted one either since it seemed like a lot of heartbreak and drama. Realistically she didn't want kids of her own, so she didn't need a relationship for that. Companionship was the only reason and she wasn't sure how much she wanted friends either. She would just have to decide over time what she wanted in her life. She could totally be a solo act recluse it might actually be a really great way to live and a lot less drama to deal with.
Ughhhhhhhhh. That didn't look like leaving to them. If anything, it looked like getting way more into Pax's personal space than they wanted her to. (Personal space? Close enough. She had to be close to read the wish, and that kind of close was too close.)
Before Pax could think any better about it, they shoved her. Not hard. But they shoved her. "I said - I said go away," they said, "you're way too - too close."
And they were tripping over their words again, because they knew what everything sounded like in their head but the doubling back was a reflex, and if she made fun of that they really - they probably wouldn't do anything. What was she? Twelve? That was basically five. There was no way to feel like Pax had the moral high ground if they magically tased a twelve-year-old.
Draining her? No, this was still pretty public, and they weren't great at it when they got flustered...

Mabella growled and she pushed back this time "I can be where I want to be you aren't the boss of me." She frowned at them "Why are adults all such jerks??" She hadn't even touched them till they touched her and she just exploded. She saw his dark colors and she narrowed her eyes at him. "You are corrupt aren't you?" She accused him. She was so done with his kind she was ready for a real fight this time. She wanted to win and beat the heal out of this jerk. She figured if she was smart she could get some good hits in and use her magic to numb his arm or leg so he would fall on his fall. She was so tempted she growled again. "Who the hell do you think you are anyway?" She didn't understand why this senshi was so messed up. She saw the black mark on his head and she had to wonder if that stuff hadn't seeped into his brain. "Maybe you should get that checked out maybe you have cancer in your brain that is effecting your mind." She suggested. She was ready to move if they attacked her again.
Okay! Forget it! Moral high ground lost! The flush on Pax's face didn't change hue much, but there was a moment where they went from being all tense, shoulders tight, to - a more liquid stillness. It was the exact moment where they calculated how willing they were to essentially tase a child. (A preteen? A tweenager? Whatever. Probably a middle schooler.)
The answer: pretty willing! She'd been rude! Every day Pax discovered they were a lot more petty than they'd previously known themself to be. Truly, the world was full of wonders. "Go away," they said, completely ignoring anything else she'd actually said or any questions she'd accusatorily asked, and flicked her on the forehead as they cast their magic.
And as soon as it kicked in, they turned around and walked off, because they really didn't want to take the chance that this tweenage? preteen? would work through it and kick them in the shins or something.

We can probably finish the thread on your next post or my next post! Thank you!
For the next 30 seconds, all noises the target hears and vibrations they experience will begin reverberating within the target, as if their body was a tuning fork. This is painful, disorienting, and makes distinguishing outside noise difficult; it may also cause temporary loss of some proprioception. At player discretion, this attack may result in lingering deep-tissue pain and tinnitus. This attack lasts for 30 seconds.

Rude rude rude Mabella was mad as a wet hen when she came out of it they were gone by the time she came to her senses and she turned and left. She didn't see sense in dealing with this anymore. She picked up another star charm and head off to get a snack to calm down.
