With Michael Cole waiting in the backstage area for any superstars coming through, the camera turns to see 'The Man of the Hour' Avari Fusion, walking from ringside. A white towel is draped over his shoulders as sweat and water is almost dripping from his body, face red and a look of exasperation and a little disappointment etched in to it.

MC: Avari, a moment of your time?

Avari looked at Michael Cole and contemplated just keeping on walking, but stopped and nodded, wiping some more sweat from his brow.

MC: Thank you Avari, I know you've just finished up your triple threat match in the final of the King of the Canvas tournament - how are you feeling right now?

Well.. if I'm honest, I'm disappointed, frustrated and torn on how it all ended. Not to take away from Cyrus' victory, he went out there and got the job done. But I was just so damn close.

MC: We all saw that, and we also saw you put your body on the line in a match that realistically any of the three competitors could have won it.

You're right Cole, you really are. It's what is bittersweet about this moment for me. I'm fresh to this company, I want to make my mark, but I also need to realise just how far I have come to facing off against the World Heavyweight Champion. Dean Johnson has already been a main event star in recent months, and Cyrus is a veteran of this business.

MC: It's good to have some perspective, everyone put on a great show and it could have gone to any of you. Tell us, what are your plans now, going forward?

To be completely honest, I don't have any plans. I had my head and my heart set on winning King of the Canvas, and going on to face the World Heavyweight Champion. Plus if it were Drako Damone still as Champ, it would allow me the opportunity to avenge what he did to my father.

MC: Well, rumours have it that there is something of a rivalry building up between
yourself and Hiro? What are your thoughts on that?

Hiro is a great competitor, but we have had some choice words for each other, and that's just what happens in this business. It felt personal that he got the opportunity to fight Drako and said he was doing in to avenge Nuke, but he came up short. Part of me thought I may be given that chance, but .. c'est la vie, life goes on.

MC: And do you think that you could have beaten Drako?

Look Cole, you've been in this company and the wrestling business for long enough to know one important fact. If you don't think that you are the best, or can beat the best, there is no point in you being here. Sure, some people or factions are here for just a bit of fun, but the true competitors have that winning mentality. In my heart I am sure that I can beat Drako Damone.

MC: Summerslam approaches Avari, do you have an opponent yet?

Well, that's just the thing I need to think about, and talk to management about. Whether it's Hiro or anyone else in the back, though, you know I'll be putting on a 5* match that will get everyone talking. Now, I'm really sorry, but I have a date with a sports masseuse on a table to get rid of some of these knots in my muscles.

MC: Thank you for your time, Avari.

Avari shook Michael Cole's hand and walked off down the hall, the camera following him for a moment as he walked towards the locker rooms, before fading out.
