You start to hear it all over town, too. All sorts of insects seem attracted to the strange pods, and it’s not uncommon to find nearly any species curiously investigating. If you listen closely, you notice something else strange–it’s not just the bugs that you see making the familiar call of the cicada. It seems like it’s coming from inside the pods, too. Any pod that wasn’t leaking sap suddenly begins to snap open, and giant cicadas, crawl out. Their full wingspan can reach up to a foot and they’re hungry–and angry. It seems like the pods that were leaking sap were slowly rotting, but the ones that didn’t leak were being eaten from the inside out–and now that the cicadas have run out of food, they’re out for anything they can find. Though there are several notable differences between these insects and the common cicadas, their low, chirping wail makes them easy to find–as well as the fact that they spit acid. These bugs are incredibly hostile and will attack indiscriminately, powered or unpowered, human or alien, day or night. They have a protective shell that makes them easy to crush but they’re hardly the most menacing foe you’ve faced–but if they reproduce, you could be in some real trouble. Better to crush them now before they become Destiny City’s next invasive species… Note: These creatures are a violent alien species that are aggressive and eager to destroy. They will attack everyone and everything within sight. The insects can fly, spit acid, and will try to burrow into the ground to hide. They are very fast and difficult to see. This RP can be used as a battle requirement for a character, separate from your ‘one youma battle’ per stage if there are two powered characters involved; you cannot write a solo and count this as a battle, and your character must be powered and interacting with another player’s powered character for it to count. This can only be used as a battle requirement once per character, but there is no limitation for how many times a player can use this prompt. Good lord this sound was so annoying. The decision to patrol around the park was clearly not a good idea, as Mu Arae was slowly starting to figure out. The noise from the cicadas was at all times, didn't matter if it was day or night, they were out with a vengeance and she hated it. The small senshi made her way through the park, resisting the temptation to cover her ears the entire time. As she got closer to the big tree that Eli had gotten some of the pods from [she wasn't sure just why he would do that but hopefully he kept the s**t away from Colin], the calls seemingly getting louder as she neared the tree. "What the hell...?" when the brown pods started to shake and crack open Mu jumped back a couple of feet reprising a shudder as they started leaking out this weird sap. That's when she promptly freaked out. Those pods were clearly cocoons that now had big a** bugs coming from them. It was only when they started going towards her, spitting acid and trying to take a bite of her flesh did she start fighting back, bringing the heel of her shoe on top of one, crushing it in one blow. Nope, she was not about to let this get out of hand. Guess she could add bug exterminator to her resume among other things.

She was hoping to maybe find some more things to trade with the merchant and figured it was worth checking out that old tree once again. Sadly the noise of the cicadas were getting louder the closer she got to the area that the elderly tree was in, honestly Strengite was, for the most part, use to the fairly common drone of the insects. Years of traveling helped her adjust to the 'song' of the creatures. It was quite nice once you got use to it really, a good background noise that helped block out the more annoying sounds of general human ruckus. At least that's what she thought prior to her getting closer and closer to the tree. Those little suckers were getting louder and louder. At this point they had to be a noise nuisance! Add to the sound of the bugs becoming quite annoying she was picking up the aura of a order member. Oh goodie. Bugs and pests all in the same place. Yay. Maybe she could watch the order pest get eaten, or at least swarmed, by the cicadas since they didn't eat human flesh. Rounding a corner Strengite could only stare in abject horror at what she saw. GIANT CICADAS?!?! What was this? Some kind of horror movie? So gross! So, so, sooooooo grosssss! She was about to nope right out of there so fast but apparently the big creatures spotted her and started to swarm. Her daggers were soon put to use but then she got a brighter idea and took off running towards the senshi she had sensed. Might as well see if she can 'monster train' these little ******** right to her.

Mu was actually starting to enjoy the sound the bugs made when she smashed them with her boots or her fists. There was a bit of an annoyed sigh when she felt the chaos signature behind her and while she was content to ignore it for once in favor of keeping this potential bug infestation at bay, it started coming closer. How is it these chaos things were all dumb?! Granted it felt like the signature was on the same bar as her own, which meant there would be some sort of good challenge, which was great! Her last encounter with the sassy ice senshi wasn't exactly forthcoming [she did manage to kick the poor thing in the balls which was the highlight of her night really]. Still, being as cocky as he was, Mu continued to ignore the signature coming closer to her, still crushing bugs with a wide smile on her face. As long as she didn't get any of the acid on her she was good to go. The sound of cicadas behind her is what made her pause and turn around, only to see the chaos agent coming right at her with a bunch of those freaky things following them. Ahhh....Well looks like she would be doing the same thing, turning and running towards the agent with a s**t eating grin on her face, said grin widening when she decided to try an experiment. "Cruel Violence...." She stopped, reached up, and touched one of the bugs, casually stepping behind the horde as said bug let out a loud screech, turning to attack its own kind. Once that bug was down, it kept going, eventually turning to face the agent coming towards it. Mu Arae stood behind the swarm, hands behind her back with her head tilted. Lets see how this goes. Fiction1119 Sailor Scout Attack: Cruel Violence - In this beginning attack, Mu Arae has to get close enough to her opponent to touch them. When contact is made, a rage overcomes the target, clouding their mind with violent and aggressive thoughts. In this state, they cannot discern friend from foe. The target will not take risk into consideration as they only desire violent action. This attack will only last about 30 seconds, and can be used three times a fight.

Strengite was having a time dodging the acid attacks of these monstrous bugs but she was still taking them out as she raced towards the senshi, she didn’t even slow down when the senshi started to run right towards her figuring that it would be just that much easier to leave the bug train to the stupid order chick. Only to have her plan seemingly detailed when the senshi did something. One of the bugs let out a particularly annoying screech and started to attack one of its fellows before coming after her. “Oh, hell no!” Actually wishing for her previous weapon of a flyswatter Strengite deflected the cicada with her knives, sending another one tumbling to the ground with the acid attack. A third one was swatted into the senshi’s general direction. With a smirk of her own she tossed one of her daggers in the woman’s direction before burying the second one in the aggressively pissed off bug that decided to target her. Having sharp objects for weapons were quite useful even if a bat would have been more satisfying.

Mu almost started cackling at the hell no that came from her opponent's mouth. Then there was a dagger coming for her, which she barely moved out of the way of, raising an eyebrow at the agent a couple of yards in front of her. "Not bad!" She cracked her knuckles waiting for most of the bugs to be killed, charging forward and leaping in the air for a drop kick. Was it practical? No. but since she wasn't fighting another senshi or a youma, she figured she could have some fun with this one. Worst comes to worst she would get stabbed and have a scar to explain to her poor husband who would no doubt try and kill the woman before her or scold Mu for being careless in battle. Either way this was about to be something funny.

One of the things Strengite loved about her new weapons, granted the old one did the same but it wasn't quite as helpful, was that she could summon any thrown daggers back. Which she promptly did even as she scoffed at the audacity of this witch to try an actual drop kick on her. “You know the hardest thing about jumping in the air is…. Changing your direction.” The captain quipped as she stepped out of the way and swiped at the flying senshi with one of her daggers. She had to hiss in pain when a mutant bug got her with its acid attack on her shoulder but another stab with her blades was enough to make that little pisser no longer a threat. Strengite couldn’t decide which was more annoying, the Senshi or the bugs. So far the bugs were winning but she had a feeling that would be changing fairly soon.

The slice the dagger made to her arm was the price she paid for experimenting. That's alright, now she knew the woman's blades could be recalled, something to look out for in the future. Mu landed on her back, hopping right onto her feet. "True, but a little paper cut isn't going to stop the a** beating youre about to get.~" With that she swooped in, aiming a hard kick to her opponent's head. If that didn't work then she could always work on giving the cow a couple punches to the gut. A bug managed to spit acid on her arm but that was something she could ignore and deal with after she took this chick down.

“Got to hit me first,” Strengite snarked back even as she tried to dodge the kick to the head, something she mostly did succeed in. Just the edge of the woman’s heel grazed her cheek, trading ‘paper cut’ for ‘paper cut’. Honestly, that more than anything else pissed the woman off. Her face, along with her body, was the draw when she went out trolling for energy. Getting a cut on it wasn’t something she appreciated. Time for some payback. Every attack so far had been instigated by the tits for brains senshi so it was only fair that Strengite strike first this time. She was always better at close quarters fighting so it was no surprise when she turned her initial dodge into a duck and darted under the senshi’s reach going for a kidney strike with her fist, sans dagger since she wanted to save the sharp objects for her face.

After that kick, Mu was a bit annoyed. The b***h could at least let her kick land properly but noooooo.... "Well, now youre going to make me actually try aren't you?" she managed to move back away from the hit, falling back into her stance: Feet shoulder width apart, elbows tucked in , hands up and chin tucked, seemingly bouncing on her feet instead of being flat footed, keeping herself square to her opponent. Once she was right again, she took a careful step forward, and aimed for her solar plexus with a hard and fast jab. If that didn't hit, the quick kick to her right side would do the trick. Either way, she was going to destroy this b***h to teach her a lesson.

“Ha… shorty says what?” Strengite might be more of an ambush hunter but even she has trained and learned to fight. She knew the hallmarks of a fighter so when the senshi backed away and fell into a fighting stance Strengite did the same, bracing for what she knew was coming. It was honestly tempting to just use her daggers to slice the witch up but that wouldn’t be any fun so she braced and then smirked when she blocked that punch to her center with her forearms. It hurt, sure, but it didn’t hurt that bad. It was stronger than she expected but still… The smirk was wiped off her face when the blocked punch was rapidly followed up with a kick to her side. That one came as a surprise and since she wasn’t expecting it she staggered and nearly fell. Strengite drew and then threw one of her daggers before she even got her feet back under her, not really expecting it to do much but give her some time to counter attack. Something she did by quite literally slapping one of the still swarming bugs at the senshi. They might as well be useful!

Really? Mu Rolled her eyes at the shortie joke, dodging the blade but not the bug that was rapidly coming towards her. The senshi quickly picked up the discarded dagger, tearing through the bug with it just in time, charging forward just enough to throw the dagger right back at the stupid C U NEXT TUESDAY, leaping onto the b***h and wrapping her legs around her. The punches she tried delivering had her power imbued in them and boy was she putting some strength behind them. One way or another, she was going to take this cow down and then proceed to beat her within an inch of her life for even thinking she could take her in a fight with her puny a** daggers. She should've been the senshi of rage.... Well, at least she lived up to her spheres name, brutal tactics for a brutal senshi.

It took fancy footwork… and a split second of magic, but Strengite made the dagger that was thrown at her disappear before following it. Only to reappear quite some distance away from the tree and the batty senshi. Teleporting ******** rocked! It also really sapped her energy. She had been told it got better with practice, and became much easier once she hit General, so that along with having a youma pet were goals she was practically itching for. Panting from the extersion of both the fight and the teleporting, Strengite made a rude gesture at the other woman before hurrying away. She was hurt and tired and just continuing to scrap with the witch was only going to make things worse. Besides, she had come here to make money not get her a** kicked. Best to cut her losses and leave the horrid woman to the atrocious bugs. Maybe they would swarm her, biting her until she drops dead. A waste of a starseed but, Strengite mentally shrugged, one couldn’t have everything. All she wanted right now was a hot shower and a strong drink…. Several strong ******** this whole night.
