Quote: Insidious Insects (18 ) : In the first week of July, the area around the tree is just buzzing. The call of the cicadas is loud and droning, and it’s constant. You start to hear it all over town, too. All sorts of insects seem attracted to the strange pods, and it’s not uncommon to find nearly any species curiously investigating. If you listen closely, you notice something else strange–it’s not just the bugs that you see making the familiar call of the cicada. It seems like it’s coming from inside the pods, too. Any pod that wasn’t leaking sap suddenly begins to snap open, and giant cicadas, crawl out. Their full wingspan can reach up to a foot and they’re hungry–and angry. It seems like the pods that were leaking sap were slowly rotting, but the ones that didn’t leak were being eaten from the inside out–and now that the cicadas have run out of food, they’re out for anything they can find. Though there are several notable differences between these insects and the common cicadas, their low, chirping wail makes them easy to find–as well as the fact that they spit acid. These bugs are incredibly hostile and will attack indiscriminately, powered or unpowered, human or alien, day or night. They have a protective shell that makes them easy to crush but they’re hardly the most menacing foe you’ve faced–but if they reproduce, you could be in some real trouble. Better to crush them now before they become Destiny City’s next invasive species… Note: These creatures are a violent alien species that are aggressive and eager to destroy. They will attack everyone and everything within sight. The insects can fly, spit acid, and will try to burrow into the ground to hide. They are very fast and difficult to see. This RP can be used as a battle requirement for a character, separate from your ‘one youma battle’ per stage if there are two powered characters involved; you cannot write a solo and count this as a battle, and your character must be powered and interacting with another player’s powered character for it to count. This can only be used as a battle requirement once per character, but there is no limitation for how many times a player can use this prompt. While Selinur was working pods off the tree, determined to gather as many as he could, the alien senshi wasn't paying as much attention as he should be. He'd heard whispers from people, while out and about, that some of the pods would open and bugs would come out and attack people. He didn't notice a few pods looking like they hwere going to burst open soon, too soon for him to get away, as he continued plucking pods off the tree. His mind was, for once, rather one track as he was focused on gathering as many as he could so he could bribe a certain alien into giving him what he wanted.
They had turned him down last year but he was not allowing that to happen this year. This year he'd have his way with the other, he'd make it good for the other as well, but first he'd need to make a proper offer to the other. He doubted he'd get what he wanted if he arrived empty handed, that would also be rude of him to do.

Researching a pod that sounded like the normal insects that could be found on the planet? Right up Agrawain's ally on any normal day. Checking to see if there were any truth to the rumors of them holding bugs that attack people only made it a little different. So far he had found a few of the pod that didn't hold any surprises and had made both some notes and sketches of them as he moved along.
It was when he felt a semi familiar signature and had made his way to the other deep space senshi that he finally found out the rumors were indeed true. He had just been about to call out in greetings to the other who seemed to be as distracted as he had been in their first meeting, when a couple near pods burst open. "Look out!"

Startled out of what he'd been doing, gathering as many pods as possible, that Selinur backed up just as a large bug came rocketing out of a pod. The bug headed right at him and the ancient senshi fell over in an effort to get out of it's way, though it seemed he wasn't in it's way really, the bug was actually after him.
So the rumor was true, not good, it was something he'd write about later. Right now though he was getting up onto his feet and backing up as quickly as he could as other pods seemed to be opening. A quick glance to the other, a surprise to see a somewhat familiar face, had him nodding his head. "Looks like we might be in for a fight right now." He called over to the other, while aiming to try and swat a bug away. He was not losing the pods he'd collected already, not a chance, that in mind he sent the filled tupparware to subspace for safe keeping.

Agrawain let out a small relieved sigh when Selinur managed to avoid the initial attacks of the bugs. "Looks like it." He agreed as he moved closer to the other senshi, readying himself to both fight and support the other as needed.
His eyes narrowed then widened as he tried to track the large insects as they appeared out of the pods. When one of them got too close he lashed out with a sharp kick sending the bug flying back into a tree.

"Looks like we're not getting out of here so easily." Despite his wish to do so, he was just here to gather thigns to bribe the merchant with, and now he had to get into a fight just for these. He'd really better get what he wanted; considering all this trouble he was going through. Though to be honest he would have been here anyway, wanting to know about these pods and the bugs which came out of them.
When one bug got him, and bite down on his arm, he had to grasp at it and yank it off. Growling, much like the fox he looked like, he threw it against the tree it had come from. "Damn it." Baring his teeth at the things he didn't care how feral he might just look, too damn bad, his ears tucked back and teeth showing as he took on the bugs which came for him. He didn't even both with magic right now, his people knew how to fight with their hands and feet, they were hunters - all of them. So he could hold his own.

"At least the swarm is relatively small." Agrawain said, taking note there were no more then eight if he had counted them right. How hard they were to destroy though was the real question. It could be that the exoskeleton was easy to break or extra hard depending on what they were made out of and how resistant to a Senshi's strength they were.
He didn't let himself get too distracted by wondering however as he some one getting into Selinur's personal space. He scowled at seeing the other Senshi get hurt and promptly reached over and gave the other man's shoulder a quick slap filled with his power. "Head in the game, I heard rumors that they could spit acid."
Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Mending Touch Agrawain reached out and b***h SLAPS touches a target while channeling his magic. As he does so the magic flows through the SLAP touch into the person to heal minor injuries as well as fix small rips in their outfits over said injuries if their are any. Range: Touch Usage: 3 times

"So I heard. They also don't seem to be normal for this planet, from what people have said." So where were they from? He could likely find the information, if he took a life time to look, but if the merchant could narrow it down for him....well it might make thigns easier. He was curious about them though.
Feeling the bite mark heal up he stared for a moment at the other. "Healing magic, good to know." Meanwhile his own wasn't like that, thankfully. It would have been terrible if both of them had healing magic.
Tapping his foot, as he waited for the bugs to close in on him, he calle don his own magic. Thankfully his magic could hopefully take down some of these bugs and stop this nonsense. "Freeze up." The senshi of glaze might have come from a planet that didn't go to war or fight others but he could hold his own and had useful magic; unlike some who didn't. The senshi at his side thankfully had useful magic, which he'd keep in mind, he make sure to make some sort of an alliance here with this one.
Quote: Super Sailor Scout Attack: Freeze up. Selinur will tap his foot gently on the ground, whilst calling out his attack, this attack can be used two times in battle and lasts 35 second each time. When he taps his foot on the ground it’ll cause the temperature to drop within a 7 foot radius of him. For the duration of his magic, it appears as though chilly rain is rapidly falling around him. Wherever the rain drops land will immediately solidify into a frozen glaze. He will be immune to the glaze but the ground beneath him and anyone or anything who comes into contact with the falling rain will be rapidly chilled by the layer of glaze that grows over them. The ground beneath him will rapidly become slippery, and any items near him will become too cold and slippery to pick up. The seven foot radius of his magic moves with him, however the more he moves, the less rain coats an area and the less slippery it will be. When the magic ends, the glaze will immediately dissipate unless players want to have lasting damage. The rain falls much faster at this stage than it did in his basic magic, allowing him to coat more in less time.

Agrawain nodded in agreement, already making some mental notes about the bugs to write down later after the battle. He had also heard that they didn't seem from this planet but all he could say for sure was that they weren't from his. "I can only fully heal minor injuries currently so keep that in mind while fighting." The darker of the two said with a small scowl. He used to be able to heal more he was pretty sure of that, but that was before the chaos that was killing his planet.
When Selinur cast his magic, Agrawain tugged his sleeves down farther and shifted to plant his feet more firmly. His outfit's shoes were not meant to be worn on ice and he would have been tempted to kick them off since it would have been easier to balance that way. Except then he would have cold beans and no one wants those. The mini ice storm was certainly a useful power to have, though he wasn't sure if it was more offense or defense over all since it could be used for both more then likely.
Either way when the next insect came at him he lashed out with a strong back slap that sent it careening down onto the frozen ground.

"I'll keep that in mind." nodding his head once the ancient senshi kept his own feet planted on the ground, he had a well suited pair of boots on his feet, so he could hold his ground and not go slipping and sliding on his own glaze.
Watching a bug get knocked to the ground he decided to kick one as well, knowing it would skid across the glazed over grass and hopefully crash into something. "Once this is done we should collect one of these bodies to look over later." Whether together or not he could be gathering one of these bugs up so he could look over it, he'd just have to find somewhere to keep it, he would not be bringing it to his own homeworld to look over though. That thing would not touch his home planet.
"I take it you don't have any information on this bug." So it wouldn't be from the other ancient senshis homeworld. He'd need to find out about this creature. Watching another bug drop from the cold he was smiling at the sight, glad to see his cold weather magic work on the bugs.

A glint of interest appeared in Agrawain's eyes at the mention of collecting one of the bodies to study. "If they don't somehow disappear like some of the enemies tend to do then I completely agree." He would have to try and make sure at least one of them was in a decently good condition so he could do a few sketches of the body.
"No, only rumors from civilians that were flowing around. These aren't anything from my planet. I assume it's the same for you?" He asked, keeping his eyes on a bug that was drawing near. It had it's wings frosted over with the glaze and wasn't flying particularly fast. Agrawain eyed it for a moment then gave a feral smirk and lashed out, shattering the ice on the wings which in turn shredded the wings making the bug crash tot he floor. He then carefully kicked it away before it could get any ideas about spitting acid on him.

"Yes, I don't see them as vanishing on us." And he wanted to investigate these insects because they were clearly not from here and they weren't from his homeworld either. He wanted to see if anyone knew about them, betting the merchant would be the best place to look though. He might even grab an extra dead little bug, to look at on his own in private, because he wanted to look into this as much as he could.
"No, nothing I've ever seen. My planet would have been too cold for them." Though not anymore, maybe too hot now, so he knew they wouldn't have survived on his own home planet. The bugs were going down, thankfully, as they either fell or were dealt with by them. Thankfully they weren't many left. "Before any more open up we should grab a body." Which was something he was already making moves to do, eyeing one of the bodies which looked as complete as possible, he just needed to get close enough to snap it up fast.

Agrawain nodded in reply. It really did look like the bodies were going to fade out, become dust, shatter suddenly in a million pieces, or any other random thing that would keep them from investigating. He wondered if that meant they should clean up all the bodies just in case but unless the other man mentioned it then it would probably be fine to leave a majority of the bodies here.
It made sense that Selinur came from a cold planet, what with how his powered outfit and his magic presented itself. Still, Agrawain filed that little tidbit of confirmed information away as he took down what looked like the last of the ones currently out and about trying to kill them. Thankfully it didn't seem like there were any more injuries to either of them. "Be careful of any acid leaking out in death." He said as he carefully crossed the icy ground closer to Selinur and the body he was selecting.

"Of course, I'd rather not find myself burnt by these dead bugs." Letting something already dead have the final attack on him - how embarassing that would be. No, he wasn't interested in letting that happen at all. Carefully he plucked one of the bugs up and sent it off to subspace. "Grab one as well."
The one he'd grabbed was as intact as he could fine, he needed to investigate these things and find out where they were from. Perhaps he'd do what humans did as well...a jar with some sort of liquid, so he could keep it intact. Maybe what he'd wind up doing was jar it, pickle it somehow, and bring it to his own planet knowing it was well and truely dead and something they could preserve and keep for study later on. It would go into the information collection his planet had, in the form of a library, so it could be kept safely and given proper respect.
It wasn't just books and rolls of parchment, files, and other such paper records. There were samples of things, maps, and drawings filling th library as well. Even a few bits of clothing, to show things which were written about, there were even textile samples and such. It was rather vast and diverse in what they collected for information.

At least the other deep space Senshi was some one with common sense unlike some people he knew. Agrawain watched him for a moment to make sure he didn't some how get hurt still even with him being careful then looked around at the other carcasses. "Did you want to investigate them together or possibly just share and compare notes?" He asked as he moved over to one of the fallen bugs that looked to be in good condition. Thankfully by now the other Senshi's magic and faded so he wasn't having to worry about skipping.
He did end up finding two bodies that he tucked away into his subspace after careful consideration. Two because one had a part that was damaged that the other one did not. Once they were tucked away he pulled out a sketch pad and a pencil to start doing a scene sketch on one side while jotting down notes he had mentally took on the other.

"Either option works for me." Though he would also do some work on his own, including storing a body safely on his planet. he had thought it might be dangerous, too dangerous, but if preserved in fluic and contained in glass or crystal it should be ok. They'd done it before on his planet, this shouldn't be any different than in the past with other things.
The more he thought about it the more he was certain he'd do this. It would allow for research in the future as well, something people could learn from, and would help those on his planet once he was dead and gone.
"Let me know how you want to go about this and I'll do my part. This is something we should know about, seeing as it's not normal for this planet nor our own worlds." Therefore it was something worth knowing about, just incase.
Natsuko-neko I think if you want you can wrap in your next post. They can share contact infor and such.
