Except, when you go, something’s wrong with your order. As you chew, it suddenly gets gummy, and then it gets tacky, and then you can’t chew at all. It’s so sticky that you can’t open your mouth. The only consolation is that the flavor stays fresh and delicious the entire time. Since she was out and about on her own today, Mercy decided that she would treat herself to something nice...The problem was, she couldn't figure out just what she wanted to get for herself. The small woman continued to wander around, looking at the various knickknacks here and there. She was almost ready to turn around and go home when she saw the stand for StarSweets. This shop was all over tiktok and Instagram, the reviews that she has seen have been nothing but glowing. Tempted, Mercy made her way over to the stand, thinking of all the yummy gummy flavorts she could try. "Hello, I'd like to buy some strawberry and lemon gummies please?"
The person manning the stand gave her a bright smile, " Sure! How much would you like? Please specify in weight." "I'd like a quarter pound of each please~" "Alright that will be $8.75" "Do you take card?" When the assistant nodded, Mercy happily swiped her card, popping one strawberry gummy into her mouth, followed by the lemon. The amount of flavor that exploded across the taste buds in her tongue almost made her weak in the knees. Mercy's mouth kept chewing enjoying herself....Till her mouth seemed like it didn't want to open.

She tried to make her jaw work and it just wouldn't. What the hell?! she frantically looked around, wondering if people would notice, which in hindsight was a really dumb thing to do considering she probably looked like a crazy woman. Instead of going into a full blown panic, she sat down on a bench, amazed that the flavor was still just as fresh as it was when she first started chewing. Resting with her chin in her hands, Mercy rolled her eyes at the predicament she was in. Maybe she would throw these away and feel terrible about wasting $8.75. She didnt think the reviews were lying, considering how the flavor was till good.
Maybe she just got a bad batch? That could be highly possible, but she never knew of gummies that would be strong enough to cause your mouth to practically be glued shut. The wait was maddening, and all she wanted to do was use her mouth again. That thought made her giggle, if she had some one with her they might've thought something extremely different. That some one being Yatora since he was a bonified pervert, even when he was trying to hide it. Mercy pulled out her phone, starting a weird text to Xander about gummies being so strong they can cause your jaw to seal itself shut. Her thumb was hovering over the send button when eventually after waiting for a total of fifteen minutes she was finally able to move her jaw again, letting out a breath that she had been holding in. "Whelp, that was a waste of money." She threw the bag in the garbage looking slightly sad before looking for something else she could buy.
Hopefully her jaw would be safe this time.
