He wished none of this magical girl s**t had ever happened to him, but it had, and he had to deal with it. He wouldn't let himself get to the point where he stood in front of the Hall of Shadows again, contemplating going in. He had a nice job thanks to Kerberos (Keiran) and their apparent previous friendship, which... really did warm his heart. It wasn't bad, working at Puppy Paws, and he liked to help run the place. Keiran was a really good person. Star Festival had begun in Destiny City, too, and he loved it. He got some candy from a stand on his way into work and popped a piece in his mouth as he walked in the door, waving hello to Keiran (because speaking with his mouth full was impolite). Then... his mouth kept being full as he chewed, the candy seeming to become more and more sticky as time went on. He pulled back the bag he'd been offering Keiran so he could have a piece, eyes wide with sudden fear. "Mmpf!" He struggled to open his mouth, but felt like the candy had just... glued his mouth shut! "Mm!!" Why oh why did weird s**t have to keep happening?!

It was good, to have Monoceros back. Ryan was gone forever, yes, but...that wasn't his fault. The Negaverse had stolen Monoceros's life, and now Keiran was getting used to having Robin around.
It was a little like making friends all over again. And that was...nice, he supposed, even if that view was maybe just the slightest bit childish.
He turned, when he heard the door open, and waved.
"Hey, Robin!" A cheery greeting, as he wiped down a table and walked over, butt he cheer dropped off his face when he realized that Robin was very much in distress.
"Oh, noooo," he groaned, and gently grabbed his friend's arm, guiding him to a table to sit down. "Is that candy from some new popup place?"
It was always like that, wasn't it? A little shop that wasn't there yesterday, selling delicious candy or wonderful drinks with some kind of weird effects.

Robin's face erupted into a blush and he nodded, letting Keiran pull him to a table and sit him down. The calm behavior certainly was helping him calm down, which was good, because he needed to remember he could breathe okay through his nose. He didn't really need his mouth right now. It was fine. Totally fine! He could his phone to talk, or something. "Mm," he... sort of said, doing his best to pout. He whipped his phone out and typed out a message: You sound like you speak from experience. Happen often? Did something like this happen to me before? Or just you?

Keiran kept a smile on his face, but as he guided Robin to a table, he nodded to one of the other employees and briefly mimed drinking a glass of water--so when they sat down, two glasses were deposited on the table for them.
Robin slid him his phone, and Keiran shook his head.
"Not specifically to you, and I don't think I've seen this one before, but weird stuff always happens in this city around holidays and big festivals. Little popup shops...they're not usually dangerous, but I've definitely had some weird experiences." He sighed, fondly. "One Christmas I had hot cocoa that made me sneeze snowflakes."

Robin desperately wanted to sigh in relief when the glasses of water showed up, but mostly, it was just more goofy noise followed by a sharp exhalation of frustration through his nose. Damn, this sucked. He opened the straw and popped it into the glass, managing to get his lips around it and trying to drink some. A little water made it in from between his teeth, but the rest of it ended up going back down the straw. At least he didn't make a mess, he thought sadly. He nodded at Keiran, typing out more. That at least sounds fun. This is just torture!

Well, at least Robin was getting some water. Whatever this weird gummy candy was, hopefully it would wear off quickly, and Robin would be okay. But for however long it took, at least he was safe, with friends, and relatively calm, because panicking seemed like ti would just make things worse.
"Oh, it sounds cute now, but at the time it was like horseradish sneezing just, constantly. Cold and weird and super uncomfortable." He laughed, shaking his head. "But looking back, yeah, pretty funny. And I think this will be too, with time. I mean, it's a little absurd, isn't it? Getting your mouth stuck on chewy candy? Don't parents like, warn their kids about that kind of thing?"
...Not that Keiran really knew. He couldn't remember having parents.
"At least, it, you know, sounds liek the sort of thing you say to get your kid to stop eating so much goddamn candy, you know."

Robin made a throaty laughing sound in the back of his throat, shaking his head. It's not like he really knew, either, but he supposed that might have been true, based on... sticoms... which weren't really reflective of reality. Well, he hoped not, anyway. He sipped at the water again, trying to slosh it around his mouth— "Ahh," he said as his mouth finally cracked open. "Oh my God, that stuff is sticky!" Being careful not to let his teeth shut against each other, he sipped at his water once more, trying to erode all of the candy off his teeth so he didn't get stuck again. "Safe to say you shouldn't try that candy."

Now that Robin was free from his sticky predicament, Keiran felt able to laugh, full-throated and delighted. He shook his head, eyeing the bag of candy with mild, but amused, suspicion.
"No, I don't think I'll try any of that, thanks. If you don't mind, we should, ah, probably toss that." Sucked that Robin had wasted money, but at least this would be something to tell the story of later.
"If you want something sweet that won't stick your teeth together, I'll grab you something from out of the pastry case. What do you want?"
That kind of suffering deserved something nice, he thought.

Robin chuckled. "Yeah, I don't mind having spent five bucks on trash, that's just life sometimes," he said, shrugging. "Trash is for the best." He grinned widely at the offer of pastries, though. "Hm, something chocolate. Thanks, man." He'd had enough adventures for today, thanks.
