I'll admit I didn't actually watch it in order like I was told to (supposedly the order is "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" "Boruto: The Day Naruto Became Hokage" then it leads into the show)(In my defense the internet wanted me to pay $10!! Like sorry but I am Reading the wiki summary)
I've pretty much seen all the important parts of both movies/episodes I think just from the internet posting about it (so dont worry about spoiling anything, I probably already know or don't care about being spoiled), but here are my questions:
1. So at the end of B:NTM, Momoshiki gives Boruto the karma mark right? So why doesn't he have it when Boruto starts? Or is the movie somehow set in the middle of the show
2. The amount of kids whose parents have kekkei genkai and then just, don't try to see if they have it too? Like why is Boruto confused about Jougan (which isnt that just cause of Momo anyway?), also, why is it just in one eye? The Hyuga clan wasn't just marrying each other so its odd that its only manifesting in 1 eye compared to The Last: Naruto the Movie with the villain who had the Ultra Byakugan but it was in both eyes?? And its not like he's a combination of K.G. like where Kishimoto said a combination of Uchiha and Hyuga that manifests both would have one eye for each
3. Is Boruto really just a take on how Japan had to shift from the age of Samurai to moving toward a more modern Japan? (e.g. the meiji restoration)
4. How old is Boruto even in the beginning? I thought he was 12 but then Iwabe comments that the village was still at war "10 years ago" ... Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense since Naruto and Hinata didn't get married until like... Idk what, 5 years after the 4th war ended? Am I just missing a plot point or something?
5. This isnt a question but more of a comment, aren't the aliens basically just replacements for tailed beasts at this point plot wise
Also I'm sure these could be answered by me watching more but still, penny for your thoughts?

okay ive been able to watch some more, so I guess this is all pre-movie stuff or whatever so Boruto had the jougan before being momoshikis host or whatever (okay...)
and also after reading some info on Choji, how does the fan base manage to constantly praise/discuss how much Boruto is a "prodigy" cause of his rasengans at age 12, but completely misses how Cho-Cho was doing partial expansion /AT AGE 10-11/, without food pills!!!!! Like Choji couldnt do it without food pills when he was already a genin, and it took him being a chunin to be able to do that without the food pills
Cho-cho just pulls up on scene ready to fight- and she knows her worth 💅 (Shinki remains my fav cause, Gaara, but Cho-Cho is definitely making the leaderboard)
Also again the real lack of information sharing is bizarre- why is Sarada reading about the sharingan via a library book? Why didnt Sakura tell her about it, especially since she KNEW that Sarada had activated it? She could have a least sent her over to Kakashi's house to learn more on controlling it vs Sarada having to ask Konohamaru about it in passing.
Hm what else... I think I reached season 2? I just finished the Sumire arc thing and now theyre all going over to the mist village.
Also if Sarada and Boruto are childhood friends why isnt Inojin too like, he's both Sai and Ino's son like that kind of includes him in the Naruto gang of adults hanging out. Just thoughts. Even individually for each parent it would make sense for him to have been forced to hang out with both Boruto and Sarada for extended periods of time as a kid growing up. And I just mean treated in the same way, the show made more emphasis on Sarada and Borutos childhood friendship more than it did of Inojin with either one of them. (which sure, they become teammates so who cares about their early relationship with Inojin, but still.)(these are just thoughts)

I skipped everything in the beginning and started following when the Last arc just started before the timeskip (in the manga) when Code and Eida come in the picture. But I would love to go back revisit Kawaki's arc. As for the anime, I've just been watching fillers rofl like retsuden and the time travel one

But I would love to go back revisit Kawaki's arc. As for the anime, I've just been watching fillers rofl like retsuden and the time travel one
Maybe I should've done that and saved myself some grief 😂 I mean, I never did get around to watching the movie (which tbh I don't know if I need to now having seen season 1?). I think I finished season 2 of Boruto before I threw in the towel; it was all very painful to watch also I kinda didn't understand the plot where they said the kid who boruto became friends with/helped was Yaguras grandchild?? (Which he was only at least Itachis age and didnt have any kids then so how is he somehow a grandfather to a kid narutos sons age??).And also they blamed the bloodmist village on Yagura even though at that point he was controlled by Obito via the sharingan. 🤷♂️
I may just skip to the chunin exams to see a bit of Shinki then call it good. The story line just feels like they took the storyboard for Naruto, cut it up, and reorganized it. (Which ik is a common complaint from Naruto fans who don't enjoy Boruto, but... it's also true.) Idk if im watching a sequel I want it to be different than the original, and the time skip just makes it even more of a replica.
Some of the time skips designs are cool, and I do enjoy some of the Boruto characters in general, but honestly I don't see a point in watching the rest. 🤦 and I really really doubt it's Kishimoto writing this,like at all. He loves Sasuke too much for this to really be what he wanted for his future.
I dunno 😂 I guess I'm just one of the Naruto fans who can't get with Boruto. I feel like there were a lot of other story directions they could've gone but just rewriting Naruto with a NarSasuke hybrid just wasn't the move for me.

That's exactly what I'm saying like!! It's basically switching out tailed beasts with otsutsuki people/clan members!! I'm not super versed on the latest stuff like the nitty-gritty details regarding the girl who likes Kawaki, and her little brother, but arent they all karma seal people (i swear i saw someone describe them as cyborgs or something similar and ngl i thought they were robots for the longest time lmao. Like androids or something out of Blade Runner At that point I was just like 'well okay, whatever ig, not the weirdest thing from this show'). But so then isnt it just like, if the jinchuriki from the last generation were at odds with each other and had more influence in the plot

TBH im sitting here like.... Okay if the girls ....... quirk ...... is to grant wishes, cant Boruto just wish for everything to be back to normal, and/or just to have people realize what happened? Like the current stuff I've been forced to see thanks to social media is that people are discussing even if Boruto wins/defeats Kawaki, then everyone will still think Kawaki was Narutos real son etc. Ik she explained (i guess) recently that her power isnt to change minds, its to grant wishes so even if she wanted to stop people thinking Kawaki is 'boruto' and vis versa, she cant since it was Kawaki's wish for it to be that way. SO, all Boruto needs to do is get her to grant him a wish and then that should be the Deus Ex Machina that resolves that problem after he defeats Kawaki and whatever alien thats in him.
Its just too unoriginal for me to care to watch Just from the point that theyre still trying to convince us its Kishimoto writing this. Like just say it has his stamp of approval or something, but saying that its him when it really isnt ..... its annoying. and if somehow it really is his mind writing this .... dude. you shouldnt have ever bothered if you cant think of anything new.. which,,,,,,,,,,, he seems to be doing just fine with the Minato/Kurama comic??? It doesn't make sense.

Sarada just gotta roll with the punches smh. I love all the fan edits of her outfit, they make me laugh so much how everyone is trying to rectify the really skimpy outfits that the designer likes to make. Like, shes literally a child why is she in such short clothes emotion_skull especially when she was 12!! i could go on about her clothes for at least a few paragraphs emotion_skull.
In a Sarada related, but not really related to that commentary, do you think she had to request her Uchiha clan stuff or do you think she made it herself I would think the tailor in the village would probably be able to add the majority of the clan symbols, but since Sarada is the last one left I'd think she probably wouldn't have as much luck just walking in somewhere and getting it? Or idk maybe everyone just has to take the time to edit their clothes to have the clan symbol on it, or maybe have a tailor in the clan.... Maybe Sakura made them for her then

So since it's been.... 3? years then couldnt she have gained some kind of control/mastery over her powers like every other character with some kind of special jutsu does? Cause if its her will, then couldnt she will things to go back to normal? (thinking in terms of how the author will 'make things right' at the end, if they plan to. TBH i dont have any skin in the game so if Boruto just remains some edgy sasuke jr outcast then okay ). Also were Naruto and Hinata affected by omnipotence before they got yeeted into that time freeze zone? So like if they come back, do they think Kawaki is their real son or that Boruto is?

I see so many headcanons and weird AUs of animes that I honestly can't tell the difference sometimes between real and made up Like for the longest time I thought that Deku from My Hero Academia could see ghosts cause I saw a ton of art being reblogged on tumblr about it, and the user didn't tag it as an AU so I was like, "oh that anime took a weird turn". emotion_skull So I think I just saw like 1 post talking about the kids being cyborgs and having stuff to be able to use karma/otsutsuki jutsu and I was divided on whether or not it was true. Like I said, I didn't get that far in the anime and I didn't even reach the part where they were mixing technology with chakra (the like...... chunin exam plot or whatever where Boruto cheats with the tech then blames Naruto lol).
Yeah, Fanta and I have had many convos about Saradas outfits...... Like does the author even know what teen girls dress like? Cause they dont dress like theyre going to be talking to Johns on the street after 8. Also, as a girl, I wouldn't be trying to fight people in a short skirt and heels. It just don't make any sense. Also I can't get over all the chokers this guy has the female characters wear emotion_skull Like are you bad at drawing necks or something? Or its a weird personal flair, which I still don't like emotion_facepalmxd
True, Sakura making it makes more sense, maybe I'm applying too much of a modern look at clothing design than necessary (even though they do have nintendo gameboys basically... so i mean...)
I keep getting inundated with really cringe fan posts about the latest Boruto chapters so I'm honestly even more disinterested from watching the latest seasons sweatdrop Also a weird post that went on forever that was shipping Inojin and Himawari because .... (manga spoilers below)
Of that last update where she was being attacked by the claw grimes or whatever, and Inojin had jumped in and grabbed her out of the way. But isn't Inojin like 3 years older than Hima? Like...... When youre over 20 then age gaps like that are not that big of a issue, but I think its weird to ship young characters with more than a 1/1.5 year age difference. Like the levels of maturity and experience are wildly different. So idk right now I'm just taking it as a weird fan ship but hopefully its not actually something the author does? Cause shouldn't Hima be only .... what 12 or 13? Maybe? If Boruto is 16? So shipping a 12/13 year old with a 16 year old - what in the Romeo and Juliet........ ew.
