It was Father's Day today, and she wanted to do something nice with her dad in thanks for giving birth to Her and Vaia as well as helping her out with learning life skills that she will need to use in the future. She was glad her dad always took time out to spend with both her and Vaia and it didn't happen very often and she was grateful for all the work and energy it takes to raise them with the help of their mother of course.
So here she was waiting out in the garden for her dad to join her, she wanted to just hang out with him maybe learn a new skill or two and then perhaps go for a walk later on. She hummed to herself as she waited.

Au had approached him about spending the day with him and he was all for it, he was always willing to set time aside to spend time with either of his girls and it was always welcomed, he wanted to teach them that keeping the family bonds tight were a good thing because in the future they might need those bonds to get through a challenging situation.
So he had mentioned to Akea that Au wanted to hang out with him and Akea had encouraged it. Here he was packing for a picnic for two. He hummed himself as he moved to pack the basket up, he looked up thoughtfully perhaps he could teach Au to use a bow and arrow if she was willing to. He would need to ask her when he would meet up with her outside.

She continued to hum waiting patiently for her dad to come outside, perhaps he was busy talking to Mom about something or perhaps he was packing something extra for their day. She could not tell, she wandered around their garden looking around at the crops they were trying to grow, most of their food was self-grown by their parents and they definitely tasted different from when they were bought at the store. She still had to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life and it was so exhausting trying to figure that out, perhaps her dad would have some input to share on the topic.

Finished wrapping up what he was doing and took a basket he had neatly packed and gave Akea a kiss on the cheek before heading outside to his waiting daughter, he still needed to tell the girls that he and Akea were getting married and such, that was something they hadn't told their twin girls yet. That was a whole other thing that needed to be discussed, perhaps he would bring it up with Au today.
He made his way to the garden where Au was waiting for him "ah..sorry Au, sweetheart, I was just packing a picnic for us too" he said holding up the basket. "Just in case we get hungry and such" he told her.

Auali'i looked at her father now that he had finally managed to get out of the house, she looked at the basket he held and smiled at him "OOh...that is why you were taking so long...but also did mom hold you up for a bit?" she asked curiously, she knew for a fact that her parents were the most affectionate pair ever and they were the type of couple that were inseparable no matter what the situation was. It was similar to the relationship she had with Vaia and it was something that she planned on nurturing some more as they grew.

He chuckled a bit and looked at his daughter "I suppose you could say that" he said with a grin before lightly rustling his daughter's hair. He smiled at her "So what is on your schedule for today for us?" he asked her curiously as he readjusted the picnic basket, perhaps the two of them could fish together if the food he packed wasn't enough. He took a few extra seconds to look at his daughter, she as growing up too quickly and it was only yesterday that they were babies.
He shook his head to get out of his thoughts and focused back on the present with Au. He was looking forward to the day with her, mainly because it didn't happen very often and when it did he took advantage of it.

Auali'i beamed at her dad before tapping her chin with a finger thoughtfully "I think we should start by going to the beach for a swim, and then once we get there we can figure out what to do afterwards" she told him before skipping over her dad and hugging him around the waist. She looked up at her father "Don't worry dad, it will be a fun day of just me and you hanging out and maybe you teaching me some more practical life skills" she told him before taking his hand and heading to the beach.

Akiliano chuckled and smiled as she gave him a hug "Aw...I love you too sweetheart" he said before letting her take his hand and lead them towards the beach "I think, that sounds like a plan. You know how to garden so we should add more practical life skills to your repertoire, because you never know when you will need them in the future" he said before giving her a kiss on the forehead.

Auali'i skipped down towards the beaches and put her hands on her hips looking around, it didn't seem too busy today so they should have the beach to themselves more or less. If it gets busier they could probably go somewhere a little more quieter if they wanted to. She looked back at her dad who was following close behind her. She took a breath in and blew it out before meeting her dad. "Here..let me help you," she said taking the picnic basket from him.

He chuckled lightly as they made it to the beach and she had come back to help him. He handed her the picnic basket and pulled out an outdoor mat and laid it out on the ground, hopefully, the weather would stay nice as it was or he would be a little sad that their daddy-daughter day got washed out by rain. He looked up at the sky, he saw a few clouds floating but nothing that would be of concern at the moment. He smoothed out the blanket at least it wasn't breezy so he didn't have to worry about a wind kicking up the edges of the blanket.

She set down the picnic basket once her dad had laid out the outdoor blanket, she was so excited and looked at him. Before rushing over to him and tugging his hand "let's go swimming dad, I'm sure the water is great" she said eagerly, both her mom and dad had taught her and Vaia how to swim so she was more than excited to exercise those skills, it had been awhile since she had gone for a swim the last time she had went was with her sister and her Aunts and uncles.

No sooner had he just gotten comfortable did Au take his hand and the tug at it to go to the water. He stood up as she tugged "Alright, Alright.. let's go" he said following her towards the water, he smiled as they approached the water. He waded in ankle dip and waited a few seconds for his body to acclimate to the water's temperature before wading a bit deeper into the water. He waited a few more seconds before disappearing under the surface to get his hair wet.

She dove under with her dad and swam a bit before resurfacing and running her hands through her wet hair and shaking it out a bit. She trod water for a few seconds before transitioning into a full swim. She dove once again to see if she could find anything of interest in the depths of the water and swam about under water for a few before popping up to the surface once again, but she didn't find anything of interest and so she continued to swim about.

Akiliano resurfaced once he had gotten his hair wet enough and ran his fingers through it to get rid of excess water. It had been awhile since he last went for a good swim and that was before the twin girls were born, he had fully recovered from that part so it was nice to get back in the water. He looked around to locate Au and spotted her nearby before he swam over to her. "Find anything of interest?" he asked her because he had seen her dive in the corner of his eye, and that movement was all too familiar to him, he and Akea use to do that.

Auali'i blinked as her dad made his way over to her and asked if she had found anything of interest she shook her head "No, just sand lots and lots of sand" she giggled and looked at him "did you find anything of interest?" she asked him curiously, mainly because he had a tad bit more experience treasure hunting because it was one of the things her parents did together. She titled her head to the side "Can we go build a sand castle?" she asked.
