It was a good night, she had gathered 3 star seeds and enough money to buy some good snacks from the 7/11. Teleporting and being able to drain from a little distance away made things a lot easier for her to sneak up and steal from her victims. As usual, they were the drunk or caught out college guys that fell for her looks. It was so easy to lure the idiots in and it helped her get by both with her powered and civilian life.

All the new abilities also made one thing very clear, the basic parts of her duties were at just the right level of low effort to keep her active way more than she was before. It may be tiring to teleport after awhile but it was hell of a lot easier than climbing up fire escapes or running when she came across an energy aura thing that felt way overpowering.

There were a few weak senshi aura nearby, she thought, so she decided to go investigate one of them that felt more isolated than the others. It would be a nice night to test out her magic on one of those order losers, she could come up with a hundred ways to beat them down and take their star seed. That would probably net her some more brownie points with Chrysocolla.

Once she was close by, she took up a good position from one of the roofs nearby. She needed to scope out the area and make sure there weren’t any others to come and interrupt her.

((Thank you for the start!))

Don’t go out at night alone, it was a phrase he was beginning to truly detest. He was a grown adult! One who had traveled the world to make it to this city. He lived in sketchy parts of London and lived alone in an unfamiliar country while trying to make his way in his profession. He could handle himself. Yes, ok, so this city was a bit more dangerous for ‘people like him’, ones who held power within them. Not that he had known that until he stepped foot into this bizarre city. And that first time, it was rough but she had ended up more hurt then he had. The bank thing was dicey but well… Other than getting wet it wasn’t like anything happened. He knew that she was only looking out for him but he still chafed at it. He didn’t need a babysitter. Nor did he need someone to protect him. He could take care of himself, thank you very much!

The warnings lurked in the back of his mind as he went about at night. His steps moving faster as got further and further from the bar that his new coworkers dragged him too. It wasn’t until he came to a stop that he realized he was letting his imagination push him to acting like a child. A scared little child. One who was weary of the monster under the bed and the creature in the closet. A little boy who jumped at shadows. Well, he was now the person who lived in the shadows. The one who fought in the darkness. Finding a quiet spot to ‘power up’ didn’t mean he was scared. Not at all. Just ment he was cautious. After all, anything could be waiting in the night, waiting to pounce. He was just prepared to defend himself if the need arose.

Sigiriya did his best to keep all his senses open as he drifted from isolated shadow to isolated shadow. Avoiding even the minute human interaction since he knew that as a ‘fighter for justice’ that he could get in quite a bit of trouble if caught by the regular public.

It's a shame he was more concerned about being spotted by cops than by something… or someone… who would much rather see him dead rather than arrested.

Beatrix watched the figure carefully as they tried and failed to remain hidden in the shadows. Yes it might work against the average person walking around the city but it looked really sus to her. Didn’t they realize they looked more suspicious acting like that? Men were stupid, through and through. She would take care of this one and see what money came outta their wallet when they hit the ground. Maybe it would be enough to upgrade from 7/11 snacks to a late night pizza and breadsticks.

Waiting until they reached the tree below her, she focused and teleported down. Without waiting for them to realize she was there, she smiled and cast her magic. She would wait for them to be grappled and take her shot for their starseed. If she was lucky, they wouldn’t even see her face in all the fog. It always filled her with delight to see that dullahan in her magic, she loved how she could bring such a creature to life and have it lash out at those she stood against. The fog always gave some nice coverage for her to get the beat down on her target as well.

As the dullahan materialized, she felt the effort she had put in was actual worth something. Not just to fill whatever requirements the Negaverse had for her but, her own goals at fueling that creature in the fog. Now it was fully there, clothed in armor and exuding an aura of cold. As it spoke, she smiled wider than ever before. She really was bringing something monsterous into this boring world.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Beatrix's Embrace
A dark fog radiates out from Beatrix, a shadowy figure appears behind the enemy and whispers something before wrapping them in its cold body. They can clearly see the armor and fact that the figure is headless. It disappears with a laugh as the magic fades. Radius is 8 feet. Effect and illusion lasts for 25 seconds and can be used twice per battle

He had made it to the sketchy shelter of a few trees when suddenly fog surrounded him. Before he could do anything, two arms in armor wrapped around his upper torso, nearly pinning his arms to his side. Lucky for Sig he had actually been training in this exact situation pretty damn recently. The reasoning was that apparently the negaverse liked to teleport behind their targets so ‘one must always be prepared to be grabbed from behind’. It was drilled into his head. First he drove his elbow into his attacker’s gut, he didn’t really get a chance to follow through since his attack hit solid metal causing him to hiss in pain. That freaking hurt.

Trying to keep in mind that whoever was grappling him was likely covered in full plate mail like a freaking nutter Sig skipped some of his more strike heavy counter attacks that were meant to get the attacker to loosen the grip. Instead he went with one that was meant to take them both to the ground where he figured the fellow who thought plate mail was a good idea would end up on their back like a flipped turtle. A real, ‘I’ve fallen and I can’t get up’ moment. Using momentum and speed he stepped out and shifted until his leg was behind the plate covered legs of his attacker. Right as he was dropping them both to the ground the figure disappeared with a laugh leaving him holding nothing but air and flat on his back.

“Bloody hell,” Sig muttered as he scrambled to get to his feet. Something, or more likely someone, was playing some nasty tricks on him.

Beatrix smiled and watched the whole thing happen. The order member flailed uselessly against her armored monster. Once things had started to tick down, she moved in and stomped with her heel on the man. "I think you'd be best staying down." Pushing the boney-spined heel of her shoe into the center of his chest, she leaned her weight down on him.

Now she was leaning over him, long hair draping down as she watched him struggle. "You're not from around here are ya?" Looking him over, he was definitely one of the knights that Chrysocolla told her about. She even recognized the color scheme from that study guide she had been given when they took over as her General.

"One of Ida's are ya? Hrm, I wonder what color your starseed is." Just another useless man roaming out past sunset, even if he did have some sort of senshi backing. He wasn't part of the chaos team so his starseed was forfeit. The annoying part is she had to make sure he wasn't gonna grapple her too easily. After a moment of consideration, she just went for it and plunged her hand into his chest next to where her foot was. It felt warm and a bit different than the ones she had been pulling from civilians.

The next part was where things would be different, instead of just pulling it out to just knock him out, she wanted to see if it actually hurt when she squeezed on the thing. It was probably more durable than a civilian one but she still played it a bit safe.

Sig hissed in surprise when he got stomped on, practically pinned to the ground by a wild haired woman. He winced as she dug her heel into his chest. He was really starting to feel like he had gotten on the bad side of some karmic a** since this is the fourth corrupt he had encountered… granted that one guy wasn’t actually all that bad. He was not a fan of being stepped on, not even in other circumstances, so with a huff he clutched at her foot that was currently keeping him on the ground. “Get. Off.” He grunted, trying to mussel her off of him but she was heavy. Like trying to force a bolder. She wasn’t moving. Not even as he did his best to add more leverage to his ‘throw’. She just ignored him, offhandedly mentioning Ida.

He ignored her, still trying to get him off of her, at least until she forced her hand into his chest, fingers closing upon the little crystal that was his starseed. Now that elicited a reaction from him. Green eyes went wide at the shock and pain even as every muscle in his body went taught like a stretched rubber band, his grip around her ankle spasming slightly. His breathing was erratic and stuttered but even that seemed to stop when she squeezed. He howled in pain as his entire body involuntarily arched upwards, trying to buck the invader off. His grip on her foot and ankle tightened so much even his fingers hurt, the bones and tendons shifting under his grip, not that it was anything compared to what it felt like right then in his chest.

’It is the worst pain imaginable’ was how having your starseed messed with was described to him. If Sig was capable of cognitive thought right then he would have called that little nugget of information a complete understatement. It hurt so much more than just ‘imaginable’. So, so, much worse.

That... was one hell of a response and it fueled her. Though the grip he had on her foor and ankle hurt, she kept going. Using her other foot, she balanced carefully and stomped down hard on his shoulder. With luck, the thinness of her heel would do some good damage to him. She at least knew there was a poping sound when she had come down with the force of her weight on him.

After watching him suffer for a bit longer, she pulled hard on the starseed and freed it from his chest. It wasn't what she was exactly expecting, the color was an icy blue. Holding it up, she peered at it and examined the slight differences from all the civilian ones she had claimed. Now she could shake his hand off a bit easier and move back off him. Already she could tell she was going to have some bruises forming. Just for good measure, she smashed his hand with her heel, hoping to break a few fingers or maybe more of his hand.

No, that wasn't enough. She started to kick him while he was down, how dare he lay his hand on her like that? Kick after kick connected with his side and she didn't care at this point. They were isolated and the trees provided good enough coverage, she could have some revenge and then get going to bring her prize to Chrysocolla.

She'd been following the energy signatures when she finally came onto the scene and the sight that greeted her turned Ida cold, her heart squeezing in her chest in panic.

She recognized the colors of the page on the ground, the page she couldn't sense any more, and the corrupt that stood above him held something as she kicked the unconcious man. True anger flashed through the eternal, swamping the panicked concern. What kind of an evil b***h kicked an unconcious person? Wasn't it enough that she'd more or less killed him, by removing the starseed that glowed faintly in her hand?

Ida didn't wait to summon her magic. She wasn't sure how it would affect the exposed starseed and she wasn't willing to risk Sigiriya's life with it. Instead, she rushed the corrupt from behind, using her superior speed to get up on her, hopefully before she could react. A flash of falling petals and the rush of feathers came just before the explosion of a royal's signature, and Ida put all of that new strength into the punch she threw straight at the corrupt's head.

Sig... She'd thought about the Page often since he'd first appeared, no small amount of worry carrying her mind back to him. She'd hoped being with the super senshi would have kept him safer than otherwise, but this was just all of her fears brought into being. God, please be okay... She just had to get that starseed back into his chest...

The flash of red hot pain in his shoulder was easily drowned out by the overall pain of THE HAND IN HIS CHEST! Sig wasn’t given a chance to do anything else before everything suddenly went dark, his last thought was of the cold blue eyes of his Dessie.

She was going to be so annoyed.

One second she was mid kick, the next second she was heading a** over heels over towards the trees. There had been a huge energy signature and then just the feeling of getting hit by a boxer. She hadn't even realized that she had dropped that starseed in the process as she landed in the brush. Sitting up she was seeing stars and decided that it probably was a good idea to get the hell out of there. She saw the feathery-winged lady standing over the guy she had been beating up on and thought only one thing.

Nope not today

She was not going to go against one of the princesses, at least not without a large group to try and ambush her. Stepping back into the trees even more, she cursed and made her way away from the area. She would tell Chrysocolla and Croconite about this, at least they would hopefully not think too badly of her for dropping the star seed when a princess decided to send her into next Tuesday.

Beatrix waited until she was quite a few alleys away before powering down and making her way towards the bus to go home. She didn't know how far the princess could track her exactly since she hadn't read that far in the guides because she never thought she would encounter one. Maybe it was time to get a bit more serious about the order side of things since she had the draining duties locked in.

The corrupt, to her intense satisfaction, went flying as her hit connected and threw her back. It cleared space around the fallen page and in the scrabble, Ida caught the flash of the starseed as it was dropped. The princess was on it in a moment, all her attention on the small gem that she dove for and scooped up, cradling protectively close to her chest.

Only when that precious item was secured did she look up for the corrupt. Whoever the girl had been, she must have decided this fight was not worth it... she'd already disappeared into the trees around them. Whether or not she was truly fleeing, or just taking cover, Ida let her princess form drop away and take the massive energy signature with it. Too long like that was bound to draw the wrong kind of attention. Until she has Sigirya back on his feet, that was a terrible risk to the both of them. Ida was incredibly relieved to see that the page was more or less intact as she knelt beside him, lowering the starseed to his chest and letting it sink back where it belonged. The corrupt could have killed him after pulling his starseed, making it so that the starseed had no home to return to. Ida was grateful she hadn't, the relieve of that thought almost making her shake in reaction.

This could have been so much worse... but maybe this will be a good lesson on the dangers of being alone while powered. She had no idea what had been going on before she had arrived, but that was a good lesson no matter what circumstance had brought it about.

"Sigirya?" She called as she bent over him, her hands squeezing his shoulders. "Its me, Ida."

Ida calling 911 should wrap this quite nicely blue ^.^'

Pain.

Pain was his first conscious thought. It hurt. It hurt so much. It felt like his entire left side was on fire but the main point of red hot pain right then was his shoulder… the one that was being squeezed. “Hurts,” he wheezed out, trying to take deeper breaths but even that hurt. In fact it hurt to just breathe. Each inhale felt like a band was tightening around his chest.

Green eyes flickered open but were unfocused and quickly drifted closed again even as a frown formed on his face. Trying to focus at least internally. “Can’t. Breathe.” Each word was labored. He tried to shift, trying to ease the pressure he felt on his chest, only to find himself in a world of hurt. The move caused him to gasp as the pain radiated from his hand, his shoulder area, and tightened around his chest. Unfortunately the gasp dragged a series of coughs out of him which just made the pain so, so, so much worse. Much worse than the time he broke his arm as a kid. Or when he got into a fight in college and lost badly.

Each cough sent lightning across the insides of his closed eyelids even as darkness started to eat at the edges. “Hur-ts.” Left hand didn’t want to move so he awkwardly pawed at his own chest, around his rib cage where it felt like there was a rapidly constricting band. “Can’t. Brea-the.” His words were getting more and more stilted even as his moves became more feeble. “Call. Hel-p.” He knew he was pretty seriously injured, more than he had ever been before.

Sig forced open his eyes and did his best to focus on Ida, mostly just focusing on the color of her uniform, knowing that the pain was rapidly overwhelming him. “Tell. Not. Her. Fa-ult.” It wasn’t exactly what one would call proper English but it would get the point across. With that done he closed his eyes and just let the pain take him away, passing out right there in the grass, his breathing still labored and stilted.

"s**t." Ida murmured as she released the page's shoulders. She did not swear often, but sometimes, a situation just called for it.

A quick power down let her pull out her cell phone and call emergency services, detailing that she'd found someone unconscious and wounded in the park. She gave them as exact a location as she could, and then she powered up again and placed her hands lightly over his chest. Concentrating, she poured her energy into the page under her, doing what little she could to give him a chance to last until real help could reach him. The power filtered through the amber on the back of her hand, making it glow with a soft orange light, and she prayed silently to whoever would listen, that he'd make it through this.

This was why she always told people not to patrol alone, despite how often she did it herself. It was hard not to feel a measure of guilt for not being there to help him... but she fought that back with thoughts that she had come to his rescue. She had chased off the corrupt and she was here to give him what magical healing she could. She wouldn't be able to go with him to the hospital, but if she remembered right, him and his partner knew Shange and Maia. She could at least call Xander and have him pass along the news. It felt woefully inadequate, but it was at least something.

"Its all right, Sigirya..." She murmured, energy flowing like warm sunlight between them. "I've got you."

Healing Amber:
Physical Description - a bracelet with a large amber stone that sits on the back of her hand

Benefit/Boost - When Ida (or any other transcended) focuses her transcended energy through the bracelet, the amber in it adds a healing boost. It has enough power to heal a large/serious wound about fifty percent (enough to reduce lethality or stop major bleeding), a handful of moderate injuries such as sprains, strains, bruising, cuts etc, or a large number of small wounds such as scrapes and bruises.

It takes concentration to use and can't be used in battle.
