EEW World Championship
PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:41 am

Reaching the end of two hard fought days in the EEW reunion show, Final Stand, it was time for the main event of the exclamation point in the promotion's history. Briefly there is a montage of all of the past EEW World Champions. Expanding on the time after Kelly King 2.0 was attacked and the world championship had to be vacated and a new champ needing to be crowned on the final show, EEW's Fifth Birthday. The focus is on one competitor in that match and his rise. Summers is seen eating a leg drop from Jed. Was he the mystery man? The next is Harli Drummond kicking Summers in the face over the top rope. We're back in Speed and Summers is a monk getting told off by Adam Mastorocola or something and getting beat up by Matt Shanahan. On Speed. Holding the X-Treme Championship less than a day. Reminding the entire crowd the trials and tribulations Summers had gone through before coffee pours of the screen. Next we see a six man tag, NJPW style, and Summers is teaming with Nuke Fusion for some reason. Then the birthday show. A match that was tearing up the territories drawing a huge house everywhere it went. A Brisco vs. Funk Jr.-esque affair between Mike Landry and Summers. They don't show the returning star doing the job but show his handshake at the end of the promotions life, sending all the viewers home happy. Then the coffee cup falls on the screen.

BAH GAWD THAT'S! THAT'S! THAT'S SIZZLIN' HOT!

A now bald SIZZLIN' HOT Summers shakes his head ferociously as he waddles on stage wearing black tights and shooter shoes, still opting to rock the thick, brown Hogan-stache. He was also wearing a letterman's jacket with the Marauder International logo and patches dedicated to McDonald's, Folgers, Dorito's, and Tiger Thiccc Whiskey. The crowd roars for the man who gave them the technical masterpiece they yearned for in this promotion of extreme matches and church brawls. Having just inked his endorsement deal with Dorito's, he was finally able to bust out some new branding. Or a gimmick as the hardcore marks in this audience would call it. Gyrating his head violently, he continued his waddle to the ring where he would roll in. Huge anti-hero pop for SIZZLIN' HOT right now not coming out with the rest of the Marauders. Summers handed his jacket to the attendant at the ring as the referee patted him down and he went to his corner to wait on his mystery opponent.

The crowd waited in anticipation as Summers came down to the ring with a classic bit of attitude, ready to fight for the coveted EEW World Championship. Seconds rolled by and this raucous were always impatient, but it seemed that whoever was joining Summers in the main event was willing to make them wait as long as they had to.

They were suddenly met with some screaming lyrics, however, as Amen by Bring Me The Horizon rang out across the arena.

I hope you have fun rotting in hell
Swim the witch, slay the infidel
Suck a d**k, heretic
I hate you
And I'd like to see you burn, burn, burn!

The crowd all turned to the ramp as a man draped in a black and gold attire stepped out, holding the back of the cape and throwing it up in to the air, where it then fell lightly around him. Nuke Fusion turned on the spot to show off his entrance attire, the crowd letting off a loud mix of jeers and cheers, a truly mixed reaction for this man.

Nuke smirked and continued his walk to the ramp, taking his time and ignoring the fans on either side of him. He was feeling regal, and showing it this time around. A whole new persona for the legend of this business.

So tell all your friends
This is the end of everything
Too late to repent
The wicked will reap what they sow
We will sanctify (rise, my brethren)
Purify (purge out the sin)
Rejoice in their sorrow and sing
All hail next gen (all hail next gen)
Can I get an amen?

As he reached the bottom of the ring he looked left and right to the crowd, up at the ring, and then to the steel steps. A slow walk up them and he made his way on to the apron, walking along it with a slow and precise movement, turning to face the crowd and the cameras.

The crown upon his head did, indeed, look majestic - the lights from above shone from it, giving it a gleam that looked fantastic.

Somebody call the exorcist
This is heresy, the child is possessed
(Subjugate the apostate)
Don't you know
You're so six-six-sick?
Yeah, you fanatics prey on me, hate on me
Patiently waiting to watch me bleed
Get your head from out of my a**
Got me feeling like a human centipede
Just let me breathe
Stay the ******** away from me
I don't really want me
As my own enemy

Stepping in to the ring through the middle and top rope, Nuke went to each of the four corners of the ring and took his time to climb the turnbuckle and look out amongst the crowd. Many were cheering him, but just as many were jeering him. A true representation of his legacy and legend in this business.

As he finished his turnbuckle antics he stepped back and called a stage hand. They came in to the ring as he put his arms out, the stage hand unbuttoning his shirt, taking it off alongside his cape.

Lastly the crown came off, as Nuke watched the stage hand carefully take it out of the ring. The music died down as the crowd let out a hellacious cheer, ready for their main event of the evening.

Ready for action, the ref checked over both men and then called for the ring bell.

Ding! Ding!

Nuke Fusion looked over at his opponent for the night, a man whom he had a history with in the past, and smiled. If this was to be EEW's last match, he was happy to be here.

The sound of bell signaled for the contest to begin and SIZZLIN' HOT was ready to finally stamp his mark in the place that held him down constantly. Almost as much as the company who lost their five on five match against this promotion. Nuke Fusion and Brantley Summers, two names who even surrounded by returning stars, manage to shine so brightly. Neither held top gold in EEW and only one really had any major stories or teams in the company, but the smart crowd knew they were in for masterpiece, or as the kids say these days 'banger'.

SIZZLIN' HOT walks from the corner, thrusting his head in all directions and raising his arms, maintaining distance from Fusion. He knew the crowd was fired up after the huge ???'s that had popped up for this final show. Summers looked at Nuke, then to the crowd, then back to Nuke, and back to the crowd. Facing Nuke finally once more, he slowly circled the ring clapping his hands and doing a boogie woogie shuffle to build up the contest.

Nuke smirked as Summers moved and shimmied around the ring, and followed the same circle, clapping his hands and rallying the crowd behind the match. The cheers began, with some whooping and shouts, as the rhythm continued.

Clap!

Clap!

Clap!

Clap!

Fusion slowly moved in towards Summers, still circling, and offering a tie-up to begin the bout.

PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2023 8:36 am

Normally Summers would feign accepting a lock up, but this was going to be his first truly sensical brawl since shaking ring rust off not too much earlier and he was going to show he still had the workrate that people chimed about for years.

Hearing the pulse of the arena, SIZZLIN' HOT eased into the lock up before attempting to quickly pull Nuke in for a classic side headlock hold.

Nuke steps in with the tie-up, which is readily accepted by Summers. Fusion was well aware that Summers may have played a trick there, and so had actually prepared for the unexpected.

What he didn't prepare for was the standard lock up, and soon found himself in a side headlock. The crowd let out an ..

Ooooh!

Nuke smirks at the classic start, slowly pushing Summers towards the ropes, and attempting to break the hold by sending him across the ring to the other ropes.

PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2023 8:48 am

Thinking the budget for this would be lesser because Summers forgot this had major company money backing the show, Summers was expecting a slack rope that wouldn't allow much movement. Much to his chagrin, SIZZLIN' HOT was caught off guard by the buoyancy of the ropes. Sending the veteran across the ring in an exaggerated waddle run, Summers was forced off the other ropes heading back at Fusion for whatever his plan was.

The crowd sat on the edge of their seat, this was the fastest pace a Summers match had since before his ungraceful exit from the squared circle years earlier. Even the Landry series saw Summers begin his matches with nary an early drop down.

Nuke was able to use his strength to push Summers off towards the ropes, and get a foot forward in this match. What he did next was something no one expected, as he dropped and rolled under the bottom rope, walking around the ring and going behind the steel steps where he's more protected.

Looking up at Summers, and the ring, with a smirk he raised his arms out to a pop from the crowd.

SIZZLIN' HOT was scorching back across the ring when Nuke slid out under the bottom rope. Seeing this happen, Summers was caught off guard but too a massive leap into the ropes. This would send him flying back across the ring before Summers would pivot and hit the perpendicular set of ropes to his initial launch. SIZZLIN' HOT was hitting the one man criss cross and boy did he look cool doing it.

The crowd, initially offended with Nuke's mind games, saw the fluid worker Summers nail the highly touted spot on his own and roared in excitement. SIZZLIN' HOT would finish his criss cross by sliding under the ropes midstride to the left side of the steps by the middle of the apron and begin heading towards Fusion to continue the action. SIZZLIN' needed the Krispy Kreme (this will make sense later but the way the show is formatted, it's hard to do references to earlier actions chronologically) patch because he was Hot n' Ready for action.

Nuke watched as Summers pulled off his eccentric and pretty outstanding move, and proceeded to exit the ring. Fusion stood there and nodded his head, and actually gave SIZZLIN' HOT a tennis clap in the meantime.

Looking around the crowd he nodded and acknowledged the move.. right before rushing forward for a hard lariat!

PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2023 11:02 am

The ground floor was cold for old SIZZLIN' HOT. Hitting the lightly padded, because they were so hardcore and extreme, floor with a thunderous thud, the ring veteran was nearly decapitated by the screaming lariat delivered by Fusion. Summers was caught off guard by Nuke, expecting more cockiness instead of the chicanery that Fusion was implementing against him. He held his face and rolled onto his stomach trying to quickly collect himself to get to his knees and provide himself a greater base for defense.

The crowd was starting to get behind this new underdog Summers. A kick a** babyface bringing the fight to his opponent was something new for the fans to see SIZZLIN' HOT as, but they were used to seeing him get his a** handed to him so the come from behind schtick was a slap to the face like Mysterio popping out a 619 at One Night Stand.

The crowd at this point began to jeer heavily, clearly choosing their fan favourite this match to be the man who was sizzling hot so much that he was on fire. Nuke raises a fist in the air to gain another jeer, with some sections of the crowd actually still deciding to cheer for him at this point.

With precision and not rushing anything, Nuke goes to pick Summers up. He aims to pick him up and back drop him on to the apron!

PostPosted: Mon Jun 19, 2023 11:20 am

Summers was facing some serious adversity early on as Nuke picks him up and sends SIZZLIN' HOT over his shoulders and towards the sun. Summers was pulling out the Ziggler bumps for this show, hoping to steal it from all the returning names like he did at another big show earlier in the year. The man who was staring at the lights in the last EEW match was sent from the lights and crashed back first and perpendicular to the apron.

"GYUAGHH!"

Summers lets out a scream of anguish as his legs were hung between the middle and top ropes and his body laid hanging down the ring apron, almost like a Tree of Woe. He was in a compromising position, but he needed to gain as much sympathy from the crowd as possible before he started using his tried and true tactics later on the match. The goodwill was imperative for him and the history of EEW.

The blood rushing to his head quickly he yelled out to Nuke who was mere feet away, "Come on! I'm right here, take it like a man!" Still hanging, Summers threw his fists up and pushed them back and forth like an early 1900s boxer.

Nuke watched and smirked as Summers got caught up, surveying the sticky situation that he was now stuck in. He looked closely, wondering how best to capitalize on the situation. But that's when Summers shouted it, told him to bring it on.

Getting down to a knee, Nuke moved the ring apron curtain out of the way. He shuffles around for a while, seemingly trying to grab something. When he stands up, the crowd let out a big cheer as he stands holding.. a kendo stick!

Nuke twirls it in his hand, looking at Summers, who is just all tied up. He nods his head, a little sadistically in fact, and clarifies.

"You said to bring it on? Ready for the action?"
