An hour or so after the opener to the show, King of the Canvas had been cruising by just fine. There were some thrilling matches and a couple cool segments, but for one man -- this had been a nightmare come to life. Hiro Shin-Mozas had been barricaded in his dressing him since leaving the ring, the room filled with the smell of his sweat mixed with his vomit still sitting in a trash can nearby. Hiro was leaning back in the chair staring up at the ceiling, seemingly in his own world, completely out of it as his brain short circuited the minute he sat down in the first place. He was figuring he'd wait until the show was over and then find a familiar face, a friend perhaps, and see if he could perhaps head out with them simply so he didn't have to go through things alone. Hiro then got a warm feeling on his neck as the hairs began to stand up, a premonition to his door being knocked on. He jumped from the chair and got close to the chair he had blocking the door, holding his weight against it to make it even harder to just shove open. "Who...WHO is it?"

BANG BANG!
While this is the start of the General Manager's Impact Wrestling theme song and one of his catchphrases, it's also the sound of Mick Foley knocking on the door as softly as he can.
Foley: "Hey there Hiro, it's the Mickster! I know you have had a rough start to the evening, but I want to tell you something important face-to-face and you really need to hear it because it involves you directly. Can you open the door, for the love of Mankind? I promise it won't take long!"
Mick says in his usual calm and upbeat tone of voice. Mick Foley wouldn't leave the General Managers Office unless it was necessary!
JR: "I don't think Hiro wants to be bothered for the rest of the night!"
King: "Well that's too bad, he's not paid to mope around backstage all night long!"

Hiro let out a sigh of relief as he instantly recognized Mick Foley's voice, and knowing the hardcore legend well enough he assumed there was no way this was a ploy by Blackjack to lure him out of the room. Hiro's hands shook as he pulled away the chair and slowly opened the door, Mick Foley indeed being the man standing on the other side of it. Hiro would invite the general manager in, taking a few steps back but keeping his eyes fixated behind his guest so he could make sure if anyone was going to be sneaking in that they'd be found out pronto. "Hey, Mick...look I'm sorry for how the show started, I really let a lot of bad circumstances get the best of me, and I expect better just like you do. I won't let it happen again, as best as I can. What can I do for you?"

Mick Foley keeps a straight face as he prepares for a reaction from Hiro.
Foley: "I must inform you that I have an opponent waiting for you and that they wanted to face you as soon as possible!"
Mick Foley gives Hiro a moment to process the information.
Foley: "But that's not all, your opponent also requested a special referee for this match. I wouldn't normally accept such a request, but I was told that it was guaranteed to pop a big rating and as The Network Executive, we love a good rating!"
A second silent pause for Hiro.
Foley: "Staff Member Russo also wanted to make it a Pole Match, but we already have one for tonight, they can't all be pole matches!"
A New York accent can be heard faintly in the background talking about his love of poles.
???: "Bro, I swear to God bro, look at this pole bro. It's the longest pole that I have ever seen bro. Perfect for holding up a pool cue bro."
JR: "This doesn't seem fair for Hiro, given his mental state!"
King: "Oh come on JR, you know that the wrestling business is tough, both physically and mentally! If Hiro can't hack it then he needs to go back home and stay there!"

"Russo, Get out of the way pal" A knock was heard on the door as the quick talking manager continued. "Hey Mick, We need to talk about time and a half here. If your not paying security you can at least pay me for keeping those butts in seats."
Rosario attempted to open the door but Hiro had it locked again, his anxiety really causing him to be cautious. In actuality Rosario just got annoyed by it. He wasn't heartless, he did care form the man, but he had too much going on to think twice about anything. Rosario put his head against the door, screaming
"Hiro, Get your s**t together. You're okay Mark. I'm happy to see so much concern from you about my burns but this isn't about you. I don't know why your vendetta's have me out in that ring when I have one leg and have to apply burn cream every 15 minutes but this mystery man who wants your blood I don't have time for it. We're in and out tonight."
Then silence absorbed the confrontation as some murmuring happened outside the door between a yank and an airplane.

Hiro kept quiet. He wasn't expecting to work tonight, certainly not after what he'd been through earlier. This couldn't be Blackjack, though -- Mick wouldn't be evil enough to send Hiro out into the lion's den in that way. Then, Rosario could be heard from the other side of the doorway -- looks like Hiro knew who the ref would be now. He highly doubted Blackjack would want Rosario in that ring to serve as the official. The last thought to cross his mind was that perhaps, just maybe...this was the mysterious tarot card user who had been the catalyst to his terror in the opening segment. The Ethnic Enigma slowly walked to Mick and put his hand on his shoulder, turning him back towards the door. He opened it and looked at Rosario, patting Mick and handing him off to the Airplane. "Go to the ring, Rosario. I'll be out there in five minutes. We'll make it quick."
