"It's SHOWTIME!"
The audience popped loudly as fireworks erupted magnificently from the stage, wowing the crowd as Salem strutted out onto the stage in his typical ring attire! Microphone in hand, "Showtime" stepped to each side of the stage, welcoming and thanking the fans in attendance! Starting off down the ramp, Salem would knock knuckles and exchange palm slaps with his Croftaholics on his way to the ring, sliding into the squared circle and popping up for an acknowledgement from the crowd before he started speaking.
"Who's ready for 'Storytime With Showtime'?!" he shouted into the mic, much to the crowd's approval.
"Well, let me tell ya. The last several months have been hard on me." he started, his face falling somber as he recollected recent events. "I've been smashed, beaten, injured, come back, harassed, overcome, fought on, overcome again, and now I'm in the semi-finals of King of the Canvas!" he shouted, rousing applause from the audience.
"I came back at Mania! Cart tried to swerve me away from Bison with Trent! What'd I do? I put him down! When Cart sent his goons at me and Erynys, whatd we do?! We put them down! When Bison finally got the balls to face me, what'd i do?! I put him down! And when Power came flexing on me and Erynys, what'd we do? The Savage Sons put them down! Now we're on the cusp of tag team glory, and we cant be refused or denied!" he exclaimed, the fans cheering him on!
"Even though I haven't been able to see Emiko since her accident, thanks to Mirage and Power." he added solemly, drawing boos from those in the stands.
"But that's okay," Salem said, waving a hand at the crowd. "Because tonight, I'm gonna put the final nail in Power's coffin when I beat Cyrus Leone and move onto the finals of the KOTC tournament!" he declared, enthusiastic attendees applauding the prospect.
"See, Cyrus and I go way back. To my debut in wrestling, actually. He reached out to me, saw me on the indies and took interest in me, wanted to bring me into the pros, into the WWFG, at Wrestlemania of all times. Said he'd even have a match with me then and there, but when the time came and we were both in the ring, he left me hanging. But honestly, it was probably for the best. I got to learn right away how fierce and fickle the business could be. I got to see how it's like to survive on your own, and lemme tell you, a country boy can survive."
The crowd cheered as Salem leaned against a set of ropes, seemingly contemplating his next words before speaking again.
"But ever since then, me and you, Cyrus, we've clashed over and over. Instead of a mentor, you became my rival. Instead of a new "Dream", you created a Nightmare. And you've been stuck in it ever since, because in all my career, you've never beaten me once. Now my daughter and her mother are involved, you think things are gonna change? I'm the Change Jar Superstar, and my two cents says you don't have any sense if you think history won't repeat itself!"
Letting the crowd soak in his words a but, Salem took a chance to collect himself and breathe before continuing.
"So let me make this clear, for these fans, for those at home, but most especially for you and Power, Cyrus - Show's Over!" he shouted, turning the fans to a frenzy!
