When he was finally released from the hospital, it was, by Enfys's guess, approximately ******** o'clock in the morning. He wasn't really paying attention to the time, just that he got an Uber and got dropepd off in front of the store. That he could drag himself in, and up the stairs to their apartment, and head for the couch. It was, frankly, closer thna the bed, adn he was absolutely exhausted.
"Harker?"
He wasn't loud, in case he'd gone to sleep, but Enfys had texted him from the ER. Will be late, don't worry, got in a fight and want to get checked but it's not serious. Not exactly detailed, but it would be easier to explain face to face. Ideally in the morning, but right now if Harker was awake.

The sound of his name was enough to rouse him. He hadn't meant to fall asleep, but a migraine had left him exhausted and drained all day. He really had meant to wait up for the other. Harker made a soft noise as he sat up, uncurling from his spot in one of the corners of the couch. "Here..." He sighed, pushing his hair out of his face. "How are you feeling?" Even in the dark, Harker thought E looked rough. He held out his arms, reaching out. "Come here, Anwyl."

The voice from the couch drew Enfys's attention, and in spite of himself, he smiled. It had been a terrible, exhausting night, his neck still ached despite the painkillers, and he felt like s**t, but there was Harker, and everything was at least a little bit more okay.
"Mn," he said, and he walked over, and let himself collapse into Harker's arms, "evening, cariad. I feel like s**t," he confessed, and he turned his face to nuzzle at Harker's shoulder. "Better now that I'm home, though."
He paused. Took a moment to enjoy being in his boyfriend's arms. Then, ******** alien Senshi ******** bit me, would you believe. Like some kind of feral dog."

Harker collected his boyfriend in his arms, sagging back against the cushions of the couch. "Jean would have stayed for you, but he thinks he might be coming down with a summer cold. He didn't want to get you sick, on top of whatever had happened tonight." All in all though, Harker would not be surprised to wake up in a few hours and found Jean curled up with them. "You and me both. I would trade with you if I could, though I don't think want the migraine." Harker combed a hand through Enfys' hair, trying to detangle what he could. He paused, staring at his boyfriend wildly. "Bit you? What do you mean?" That was definitely not something he'd come across before. "Are you alright? Where?"

"Mm, let him rest," Enfys said. "I'll be just as bit in the morning, and he needs it." No sense dragging out an illness, or possibly sharing it between them, just so Enfys could get a little more attention right now. Attention that, truth be told, he didn't really need.
"And I'll pass on the migraine." Not tonight, not with everything else. With a sigh, he lifted up his hair to show off the bandage on his neck.
"Bit me. Right on the neck. Felt like a ******** gazelle on the savannah, if we're entirely honest."
He let his hair drop back down and made a grumbling noise. "Gonna have to put that one in the database, I think. No idea who he is, but white hair and gray skin should stand out." He lifted his head a little. "And all this--all this!--on top of the weather being ******** s**t."

"I told him that as well. Said you'd rather him sleep it off instead of staying up and making things worse." Jean had protested, but relented and Harker had ushered him off to bed with the promise to apologize on his behalf. Harker turned his head, pressing a kiss to Enfys' forehead. "He did tell me to pass that along, though."
Harker chuckles softly. Truth be told, he would rather get bit himself.
He fixed his boyfriend with a flat look. "Because I haven't done that same thing to you..." He grumbled. Although, while he'd left bruises, Harker had never taken an actual chunk out of the other. "Dunno how I feel about someone stealing the one job I have." Harker gently ran a hand over the bandage. They'd have to change the bandages in the morning. "I'll make a mental note to walk the other way if I see him."
Another chuckle escaped him, despite the situation. "Anwyl, it's the city. The weather is always shitty."

"It's different when you do it," Enfys pointed out. "When you do it, you're not trying to take a chunk out of me." Still, there was a wry smile on his face. "When the wound's healed up, you can leave your own marks, I promise."
Ugh, he hoped it didn't scar. The nice doctor at the ER said it was unlikely, and also that he was lucky, because his attacker had clearly bit down with quite a lot of force and it could have been much worse.
"Anyway, it's been shittier than usual." He nuzzled at Harker's shoulder again. "Mn, cariad, can we stay here for the night? I'd rather not walk any further, if that's alright with you."

"Better be different when I do it..." Harker muttered under his breathe. He would leave his own marks, Enfys could be sure of that.
"This city is quite none for it. You remember the insane snow we had this past winter. The heatwaves the summer the summer prior." Honestly at this point they shouldn't be surprised by the random weather conditions that happened. "At this point I'm convinced that Destiny City has it's own weather patterns that are separate from the rest of the world." Perhaps they should schedule a trip. Go somewhere far away and just forget about their troubles for a few days, or weeks.
Harker wrapped an arm around Enfys' shoulder, hand finding its way back into the other's hair. With his free hand, he tugged at the cushions, pulling them down to act as pillows. "That had been the plan." He said, leaning back and taking Enfys with him. "I put the couch back together for that reason. ...Plus I was banking on the fact Jean would crawl out here by the morning anyway." Harker pulled at a blanket, throwing it over both of them. "Sleep now, Anwyl."
