Angelica had been so good lately. Like, super good. Like, give her a medal and a trophy good, and as she was due to meet with Sappho, she wanted to celebrate this being good, and so she purchased a cookie cake and two plates. There was a plastic knife too, and that was slipped into subspace along with the treat.
Waiting at the area where she had asked Sappho to come, Angelica broke into a grin when she saw the Dark Mirror Senshi and bounded over to her, reaching out and taking her hand. “You’re here! Let’s go to Angelica, okay?”
She was already pressing the button on her phone that would take them to space, so it really didn’t matter if Sappho wanted to go or not…they were going.
And when they arrived, Angelica threw herself at the girl and hugged her tightly. “I missed you!”
Hopefully…
Hopefully Sappho felt the same. Or. Would feel the same…or! Or would ask if she had kept her word, which Angelica had. Spectacularly.

Sappho was...much less enthusiastic about going to meet Angelica than Angelica seemed to be about meeting her. Still, whens he saw the other woman, she plastered a smile on her face. There were so many feelings twisting her up inside, all to do with this...[situation she found herself in, and...Sappho wasn't sure what to do.
She still hadn't talked to Kelly, because she was a garbage girlfriend. She was still hoping there would be a way out for her, because. Well. She was a coward.
And the worst part was that her heart still did the Cute Girl Skip-Beat Thing when Angelica came running up to her.
She plastered a smile on her face for Angelica, and caught her into a hug, let herself be swept off into space--not that she had much of a choice.
"Hey," she said. "It's good to see you, too. How've you been?"

“I’ve been good, other than missing you. I helped one of your Senshi fight off a corrupt, that was fun. We kicked a**.” Didn’t take names though, and Angelica hoped that Sappho wouldn’t ask for any. “How have you been? Are things going well? You look beautiful, as always.”
Angelica felt less…forceful today. And seemed much more gentle as a result, looking at Sappho as though she were the sun.
“I brought us a cookie cake, because I missed you and…well honestly, I walked past the place in the mall and it smelled so damn good I couldn’t help myself so.” She drew it, the plates and utensils out of subspace and looked at Sappho, wiggling her eyebrows and grinning. “...Now, do we cut this up into manageable pieces or just cut it in half and go ham. Or, do we act like complete heathens and just pick it up and go ham that way.”
Either was acceptable to her, and she drew out the knife from subspace, just in case Sappho wanted to be ladylike.

Sappho exhaled. At leas tit sounded like Angelica was keeping her promises; that was a relief.
"Thanks for helping out one of my courtmates," she said, genuinely.
And she couldn't pretend that the way Angelica was looking at her didn't make her heart Do Things.
God, she was super mega ultra pathetic. The most pathetic. Pathetic at maximum. But maybe there was hope. Maybe if she was good and sweet to Angelica, Angelica would come around like this was some epic and wonderful lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance novel.
"Cookie cake sounds great. Let's do slices? It's a little easier to go ham one slice at a time, I think." She flashed a warm smile that was even entirely geniune. God, she really liked Angelica, when Angelica wasn't being all feral and threatening. Maybe...maybe they could make something work.

“Slices works for me!” Angelica grinned and began to cut the cake, making sure to be careful about it and keep things as even as possible, though…if the were going halfsies anyway it didn’t really matter but…if she was detailed, Sappho would like it more, so she tried.
She really tried.
And when she was done cutting, she used her finger to get the icing off of the knife and slid the utensil back into subspace while holding the finger to Sappho’s lips and grinning, her eyes sparkling with expectation. “Gotta taste test it, Saph. Gotta do it.”

Bonding over cookie cakes with someone who was her technical nemesis was probably not on the list of things that smart magical girls did. Or smart girls in general, really. But everything Sappho knew about the genre made her think that the power of friendship--and also the power of lesbian love--were probably the most paramount things in existence.
Therefore, she was just doing the smartest possible thing and actually, she was not pathetic, she was a genius and following the Magical Girl Rules.
That, at least, was what she told herself, to make herself feel less ridiculous for leaning forward towards Angelica's offered icing-covered finger and licking it in a way that was probably a little more flirty than it needed to be.
"Oh," she said, and she grinned in a way that was very definitely a lot more flirty than it needed to be, "that's really, really good."
If she was going to be absolutely ******** terrible, she might as well go all the way, really. And besides, this was nice. And fun. And so much better than Angelica running around wild and attacking every Dark Mirror she came across because Sappho had treated her clearly quite tender heart very carelessly. Really, Sappho was a genius, and she was winning pretty girls over to the Dark Mirror.
(Because, surely, eventually Angelica would realize that they were actually secretly The Cooler Senshi all along. Sappho knew it in her gay little heart of hearts.)

Angelica stared at Sappho for a moment and then felt her cheeks heating. “...I know right? I don’t skimp.” She hesitated for just a second and then put the finger in her own mouth, cleaning off whatever bits of icing that Sappho left, her heart thumping loud enough that she wondered if the other girl could hear it.
But maybe not.
Clearing her throat and trying to not seem as flustered as she was, she picked up a piece of the cookie cake and put it on a plate, handing it to Sappho. “I like this. I like spending time with you…I hope that you do too, you know…I really really do like you…” She hesitated. “And I’m sorry for how creepy I was acting…I just. I’m sorry.”

Sappho took the plate with its slice of cookie cake, knowing that her cheeks had to be bright red from how Angelica licking the remaining icing off her own finger had made her blush. She busied herself with taking a bite for a moment, before looking up and nodding.
"It's okay. We can...figure it out, yeah? Just...promise me no more creepy stuff and lots more sitting around and eating cookie cakes."
She paused, considered.
"Maybe I can take you to my Realm in Mirrorspace sometime. It's really cool, I get to build it myself. I haven't started much, yet, but I know I can do it."

“We could do that for our date next week? I can only come up here every two weeks…I think maybe I’d like to see your realm. I’d like to spend more time with you, that’s for sure…” Angelica watched Sappho for a moment and then scooched closer, sitting next to the other Senshi and drawing her back into her arms.
“...I really…like you. And I hope that’s okay. I don’t really see myself stopping any time soon…so…I really hope it’s okay…”
She hesitated. “...There’s one of your Senshi, Hybris? Senshi of Eggplants? He’s really dumb. And weak. He’s going to get himself killed. So just. Watch out for him if you can.”

Sappho nodded. "Next week, yeah, that sounds great." She could bring Angelica with her, and they could...maybe start using some of those weird crystals she'd found to really do something with it. So that it was more fully Hers.
"And...Angelica...I really like you too." She leaned over, resting her head on Angelica's shoulder. "That's why I want to figure sometihng uot so bad, you know?"
The concern about Hybris made her smile, and she nodded. "I'll look for him. See if I can help him out."
Senshi of Eggplants. Amazing.
"So, let's finish this cake. And next week, you'll get to see my cool magical place." And it would be awesome.
