It was a dark and stormy night.
Siegenite could have kicked himself for the cliche, but it was an accurate description. He'd taken shelter under an awning when the storm blew up, and at the least, it seemed ready to blow over quite quickly. Besides, it seemed to be keeping Order away--perhaps they had more sense than to be patrolling in a storm. Perhaps they assumed the Negaverse would have few targets, though that wasn't correct. There had been plenty of civilians running past who didn't even notice him as he pulled just a little bit of energy off the top, which made his job incredibly easy. He had a sizeable little ball tucked away in subspace, but he wasn't quite ready to turn it in just yet, even if the crowds were starting to thin as the night wore on.
At least his jacket kept him warm. That was a small blessing.

Aoede was out in the rain as well, gathering energy in much the same way. The difference was, that she didn’t have the luxury of a coat with her and that she was in high heels. She could sense another chaos aura nearby as she walked with her umbrella. Being short had at least some positives, with her large umbrella and small size, most people didn’t get to see the cracks in her forehead or most of her outfit when looking down if they even cared to in this storm. Once she figured out the general direction she needed to go, she made her way towards that aura and hoped it would be someone new. It would be nice for her to meet others besides Benitoite and her brother in the Negaverse. Things had been sort of sheltered since she started due to her magic being all wonky. It still bothered her but each time she had used her abilities, things had started to slowly stabilize. Soon she would hopefully be able to do things normally and naturally as any other senshi in the Negaverse. Bumping into them at last, in a physical sense. She could tell this was the right person. “Evenin.” It was a quiet greeting before she nodded for them to make their way away from the crowd.

Siegenite felt the approach of someone else in the Negaverse; clearly he wasn't the only one to have the idea of doing a little draining in the storm. A time when people wouldn't really ask questions, because they weren't going to pause to think about it.
When someone bumped into him, he looked down, and he swore he caught a glimpse of Corrupt holes. Certainly this tiny girl's hair was long enough to be one of their Senshi.
"Good evening," he said. He gave a brief nod, and followed her away from the crowd as discreetly as possible. They needed to be somewhere quieter to discuss...business, as it were.

Now that she was up close and walking near him, she saw how tall he was. It was a bit intimidating to her but she thought they were at least a tiny bit shorter than her brother. It was always a bit off putting to see people that talk it just didn’t feel right to her. Shaking her head internally she got back on her train of thought. “It’s nice to meet you, it seems we both had the same idea tonight. I’ve been trying to get the handle of doing things more on my own lately with patrolling.” She reached out a gloved hand from under her umbrella to shake theirs. “How has the crowd been for you? It was a bit thinned down by the time I made it out tonight.”

"Mm," Siegenite nodded. "How have things been for you, patrolling alone? Run into any trouble?" He hoped not. That would be unfortunate. And as a Captain, it was at least partially his responsibility to look out for newer, lower-ranked officers, so if she had, well. He would find a way to help her.
"It's been slowing down," he said. "I was thinking of heading to turn in what I've gotten. If you need a ride, I could take us both." An easy enough offer, even if he'd be tired after. He'd just have to rest in Negaspace for a little while before taking himself home.

“Uh… it’s been a bit interesting. I have a bit of wonkiness with things at this point and I have been trying to work out the kinks with some help from my General and a few others.” It was a bit embarrassing but at this point she had ran into quite a few others that didn’t care one way or another if her magic was weird. They only cared that she was chaos and that she had to be stopped. So things were a bit tense to say the least. “Oh that would be useful, given I can’t really do that yet I think. At least from what I’ve read. I figure with the weather and it being late, most of the pickings will have already made their way indoors at least.” Even now the crowds had dispersed leaving only a few stragglers here and there. Without that crowd coverage she didn’t feel as safe out if she was alone and powered up.

"Hm," Siegenite frowned. He wished he remembered more from his time as a Knight--was magic often strange and difficult to use? He couldn't say for certain. "What sort of wonkiness? Could you show me, perhaps?"
If he could see what her magic did, maybe he would also be able to see any problems with it. That seemed a good way to help her out. "After, I'll take us both to drop off our energy quotas." Which would make for an extremely productive night for himself and for her, he hoped.

“I uh.. yes. But you might want these just in case.” Reaching into subspecies she pulled out a pair of earplugs and tossed them over to him. “I apologize in advance if you have some temporary hearing loss even with those… it kinda does whatever it wants it seems still, my magic I mean.” It had brought Liam to his knees with his ears quite literally bleeding but also at the same time had done nothing more than some fire cracker sounds that really hadn’t done much of anything another time. Reaching out in front of her she closed her eyes and whispered the name of her attack before screaming into that imaginary mic in her hands. It was up in the air now what would happen with her magic. Noir Songbird Sailor Scout Attack: Screaming Cacophony Aoede holds her hands in front of her like she is holding a microphone and speaks the name of the attack before screaming into the imaginary mic. Everyone within 10 feet of her hears a cacophony of noises ranging from car alarms to screeching and yowling cats. It can leave ears ringing or cause slight disorientation. The noise only last for 30 seconds and it can be avoided by getting out of range. 3 times per battle

Siegenite frowned, taking the earplugs and nodding along with her warning. He slipped them in once she was done explaining--but.
Well.
Ordinary earplugs were only so much defense against magic sound, it seemed.
It was a crashing cacophony of sounds--the screech of car alarms, the wail of loud static, the sounds of dial-up connections, all at once, and Siegenite find himself stumbling and clutching his head. The earplugs were blocking some of it, yes, but certainly not all, and it was enough to leave him disoriented and wobbling on his feet.
When the sounds began to fade, he shook his head, blinking several times like that would make his ears stop ringing faster. <******** of a power you've got there," he said, as he pulled out the earplugs. "What's the problem with it? Seems plenty powerful to me."

She shook her head to get the ringing of her own ears to try and subside. Sometimes it effected her, other times it didn’t and she wasn’t sure what was the proper way it was supposed to go. “The problem is that totally lasted a lot less than it normally does and was a lot louder than usual. Even my ears are ringing and it normally doesn’t do that to me.” Rubbing her face and ears to try and wipe the phantom sound vibrations away, she looked up at him. “Also every time I’ve used it it’s been acting completely different, there’s no stability to how it goes and I feel like it should have at least some?” “Are you ok though? You’re wobbly n a bit bad did I bust an eardrum? Can you hear me ok? Also I think we should probably make our way out given that sound probably alerted at least a few people who are probably gonna start looking around.”

Magic shouldn't backfire on the user, and it sohuld be relatively consistent--at least as far as I'm aware." ********, he wished he remembered more, wished that his memories of Mycenae hadn't been stolen by corruption. Not that he would trade his memories of Aderyn, of Jean, of Harker, but....the frustration was real.
"I'm fine," he assured her. "A little dizzy, but nothing that won't pass. Appreciate the earplugs, they helped. You're right, though; no need to linger." He reached out, putting a hand on her shoulder, and teleported them both away. Best to get out before someone decided to investigate.
