Quote: Prompt 1: The weatherman said it was going to be a nice day today. Perfect time to go get some of those errands taken care of. Unfortunately, while you were shopping, heavy clouds rolled in and it began pouring outside. Do you chance it and run for your car or duck inside the nearest shop until the weather clears up? If he’d known it was going to rain today, he would have stayed home. As Viconius, he’d thought it was almost a nice day. It was cloudy enough that he could go outside and not feel like he was immediately burning–even if he had put on a few layers of sunblock beforehand. He’d worn sunglasses, but for the first time since he’d been on Earth, the sun was comfortably tucked behind a layer of clouds and he didn’t feel like he had to squint at everything.
And then, the sun went down, and he didn’t have to pretend like he was human anymore. He could actually do something.
He’d powered up for what felt like seconds and the sky tore open. Showers fell with enough force and echoed off the tin roof with such ferocity that it almost sounded like a waterfall.
The hackles on the back of his neck immediately raised, and the fact that there was a Chaos signature nearby put him on high alert.
He was already agitated; he wanted to claw his way up to the rooftops and try to figure out how to get back to the house, but how was he supposed to go anywhere when he couldn’t see? When he could only feel that signature?
The water soaked his clothes and the sensation made him squirm. When he tried to hurry towards somewhere, anywhere, for protection, he couldn’t even trust to follow his feet.
Not when they took him right to the Negaverse Captain.
The water wasn’t coming down hard when he ran into him, but he was already sopping wet, already agitated, already hearing the echo of a waterfall pounding into his mind.
Really, the Captain was just unfortunate. Vilenius slammed into him from behind, and already on edge, that pushed him over it. He tasted blood in his mouth, and it was just bitter enough to bring him back to this moment. To now. Even if he couldn't see Destiny City around him, he knew he was here.
And it was probably this Captain’s fault that it was raining like this anyway.
He stepped forward again and pushed him, this time deliberately. “This is your fault?” he said, but with such aggression that it hardly even seemed like a question.

There were many things, Siegenite supposed, that he could reasonably be accused of, standing around on a rainy night while powered up. It hadn't exactly been his plan; he'd meant to go out after a day of helping Jean and Harker at the shop, drain some energy, and generally make himself useful tot he Negaverse.
It ha,d on the whole, been a fairly decent day; not too many customers, and so plenty of time to read a paper his thesis advisor had recommended he check out. It was, indeed, interesting and relevant to his research, and honestly, it was starting to feel like he finally had things back on track. Sure, Tristan Baskerville's PhD was completely abandoned, but Enfys Griffiths's, that was well on its way to completion. Even better, he suspected that the more he knew, the better he could help the Negaverse.
And that wasn't even accounting for Mauvian technology. There were so many things that could be done...
But ah, much of it was pie int he sky sort of thoughts, at this point, and he'd set them aside with scribblings of other ideas in a notebook kept very carefully hidden. Whatever ambitions he might have, he didn't have the ability to fulfill them right now, so he would just have to put them to the side.
He'd powered up on his own with the hopes that walking it out throguh the mindless routine of "patrol, gather energy, keep walking" might help with the idea generation--for the Negaverse, and for turning over the paper he'd read and considering how to incorporate its conclusions to further his own work. It really was an excellent system--draining energy only required so much focus--but the problem was that the sky had decided that it was time to open up and start pouring.
Siegenite was not someone who was overly fond of the rain, and he found himself very much wishing that his current uniform had a hood--though at least it wasn't retaining water quite as thoroughly as he suspected his old one would have. He was also distracted enough to only sort of notice that there was another signature nearby--but surely no one would want to cause problems in weather like this.
Alas. He was a fool. He sohuld never have underestimated the other side's desire to Cause Problems on Purpose.
In any case: there were many things he supposed he could be accused of, wandering powered up int he middle of a pouring rainstorm. Energy theft, for one. A reasonable and technically true accusation.
But the accusation hurled at him by the Senshi he whirled to meet was so incredibly odd that he had to blink. Once, twice, thrice.
(Another alien, like Sterrennacht. Perhaps things did work that way on whatever planet this stranger came from.)
"....No, I am not responsible for the weather," he said, but as he said it, he narrowed his eyes and called his weapon to hand. Usually it was too showy to run around with, but this one seemed dangerous, and Siegenite was not about to take chances.

Vilenius’ blood was boiling. Realistically, there was probably a part of him that knew no single person could be responsible for the entire sky. But Chaos as a whole? It was nothing but trouble. Obviously this Captain endorsed it–he was drenched in Chaos. Unapologetically so!
They had magic, didn’t they? Who knew what they could do? Why not drench the world in water and darkness and feed off of everyone’s misery?
The weapon didn’t faze him in the slightest. He didn’t even look at it. He could move quickly, and he had magic. What did he care for simple weaponry? He sneered, bared his teeth, and could have spit on the Captain if the rain wouldn’t have made it a wasted effort.
“Then what are you doing out here?” he demanded. He took slow, deliberate steps as he started to move in a half circle around Siegenite, like a wolf hunting for its prey’s weakness.

Siegenite definitively felt hunted. There was something about an inhuman Senshi prowling around him that set him entirely on edge. And not for no reason, he felt. This was a threat, clearly.
"The same as you," Siegenite said. Probably strictly not true, but close enough. "I intended to patrol, because the weather promised clear skies. And then it started raining."
He shifted his weapon into a defensive, combat-ready grip. He wasn't exactly eager for a fight, but one seemed to be coming, no matter what he wanted.

“Do you think that little thing will protect you?” Vilenius asked. He didn’t look at the weapon; his eyes never strayed from Siegenite’s. “Are you fast enough to stop me?”
The difference in rank seemed to mean nothing to him; he either hadn’t fought enough competent Negaverse Agents to know how dangerous they were–or he knew, and he just didn’t care.
As he stalked around him, he curled and uncurled his fingers. He seemed to sink a little lower to the ground, like he was ready to pounce–
And then, he did.
There were so many layers, so much fabric. Vilenius probably could have tried to bite through them, but he wanted easy damage. He cast his magic silently and lunged to try and dart behind the agent and, when he got his chance, he dug his nails into his shoulders and bit down on the only exposed skin he had seen, just at his neck. It didn’t matter if he’d gotten a mouthful of hair, he’d bite that, too, and tear it all out if he had the chance.
Quote: Vilenius summons his attack and every enemy nearby will feel as though a cold rainshower has begun to fall. As the illusionary water begins to seep into their clothes, they will feel a dreary melancholy overcome them. The water clings to them, making them feel heavy and alone; though the rain is light, for the duration of the magic the air will feel cold and everyone within radius will hear the soft sound of falling rain. The magic does not cause physical damage but can be disorienting and emotionally draining. The magic lasts for thirty seconds and has three uses. It affects all enemies within a ten foot radius of Vilenius and the magic will follow him if he moves, but the effects end if the character moves out of radius. Players can choose to remain drenched or the water can magically disappear.

"It'll do well enough," Siegenite said.
He was prepared for an attack. Prepared for a lot of things. Mostly, he was prepared for the kind of fighting he was used to--punches, maybe some magic.
Getting launched at like a ******** gazelle on the savannah was not on his list of things he was prepared for. He was ready to get hit, not for nails to sink into his shoulder and teeth to sink into his neck. He jerked, and bit back a cry of pain, trying to rip himself free of the Senshi's grip, and his weapon slipped from his fingers--but he still had his fists. So he brought one around, aiming to slam it into the Senshi's face. He just had to get free, and then he would get the hell out of here.

Vilenius felt pain, he just wasn’t very good at responding to it. He wasn’t unlike a trapped rat, some feral creature ready to lash out regardless of the danger to himself or the repercussions of his action.
Siegenite’s fist hit him, hard enough to dislodge him. Enough that he tasted blood in his mouth–though, to be fair, he wasn’t sure if it was the Captain’s or his own. He didn’t care.
He stumbled backwards, but he might as well have just been a magnet for trouble. As soon as he stopped skidding backwards from the punch, he had lunged himself back at the Captain to try again.

Siegenite was bleeding, soaking wet, and miserable. The bite had distracted him, breifly, but there was a sense of gloomy melancholy hanging over him, a sort of certainty that this day was bad and would only get worse, especially if he stayed here. All in all, this had shaped up to be an absolutely s**t day, and he was wholly disinterested in continuing to deal with the feral beast he'd apparently run into.
One punch hadn't deterred him, but fortunately, Siegenite had a backup plan.
Teleportation didn't require anything but an instant's thought, and so as soon as he realized that the Senshi was coming around for another attack, Siegenite teleported himself away. He was not going to get bitten twice.
