The plan was simple. Lonnie had a half dozen bagels and a few different types of cream cheese and he was going to spend a little time with Judas and then bring the male back to his place and go out later that night to investigate.
Walking into Judas’ place, he closed and locked the door behind him and put the food down in the kitchen before going to Judas’ room and poking his head inside. “Hey. I’m back.” Lonnie paused when Judas wasn’t in the bed, and the door to the bathroom was open so he could see that Judas wasn’t in there either.
Okay. Well there weren’t too many places that he could have gone in the house, and so Lonnie took a moment to just think before all out panicking and raised his voice a little louder than normal. “Judas?”
There was worry in it, and Lonnie left the bedroom, looking around for him.
When he got to the room that he was asked to stay away from, he paused outside of it and just sighed, shaking his head and going back to the bedroom, his worry starting to become almost painful. “...Where are you?”
Making his way back into the room, Lonnie checked the closet and thankfully, spotted Judas curled up in the corner. With a sigh of relief, he blew out a breath and stepped into the closet as well, kneeling beside the male and drawing him once again into his arms. “...What’s wrong?”

Judas tried to jerk away when the first hand closed around him, drawing him in. But Lonnie's grip was too strong. Or he was too weak to resist. "Everything." Judas sobbed. Everything was all wrong. "This wasn't suppose to happen!" He let Lonnie collect him, clinging desperately to the taller man.
They had had rules in place for a reason, they both did. Leaving had been so easy in the past. Yeah, some people had been a little more tricky to get away from but, he had always managed.
"I tried to run." He hiccupped. "Just as Harker warned I would. I was gonna just ghost and disappear from your life." But then they kept hanging out. Then Judas showed Lonnie were he worked... Where he lived... "When you turned out to be Negaverse..." He knew he'd be in trouble. "I was just going to leave my stuff. I got to the door and..." He just couldn't do it.

Lonnie nodded and held Judas close, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. “Hush, Judas. Hush. You’re not going anywhere. I won’t let you. Harker won’t let you, and I believe he would let me know when you turned up. I believe...” Lonnie allowed a small smile, his chest beginning to ache with some anxiety.
“I believe that he and I might be friends now. Isn’t that terrifying?”
His voice was soft again, and he began to rub soft circles over Judas’ back. “Utterly terrifying. I don’t allow myself to get close to people either, and if you would rather we end this dance, that’s fine. But I refuse until I’ve tracked down and killed the b***h who did this to you, or at least put the fear of God into her.”
He was quiet for a moment and then Lonnie sighed. “Or, at least, I will stay with you until you’re healed. After that, I can disappear. I won’t contact you, bother you. If that’s what you want. I respect that.”

"I wasn't... I wasn't going to tell him where I was going." Not when Lonnie knew. So he was just going to give up everything he knew and start over somewhere else.
"I told you so.." He sniffled, balling a fist in the other's shirt. With a quiet sigh, he finally sat up, though he couldn't quite bring himself to look at the other. "I... should have done that a long time ago.. But I'm in too deep at this point. I don't ... I don't want to end this." Judas didn't think he could go back to the way things were before hand, without Lonnie in his life.
Judas shook his head. "I... I want you. I am... just scared of it all."

“You wouldn't have been able to leave him behind. Me, absolutely, but not your friends.” Lonnie kept his voice soft and his tone light, but he kissed the top of Judas’ head again. “I know. I understand that you’re scared. I…I truly understand…and I feel the same, if we’re being honest. I’m afraid too. You know too much. You’ve seen too much of me. But.”
He was quiet for nearly a minute and then finally sighed.
“...The worst part of all of this is. I wouldn’t change anything. Even when I was still trying to keep some distance. I kept lamenting that you weren’t in the Negaverse. That you couldn’t truly know me. Couldn’t see me but…”
Lonnie nuzzled against his cheek. “...Now I just…think that this was supposed to happen.”

"He has Enfys and Jean, he'd survive without me." He shrugged. "I've... never done this before. It's always just been one and done but..." Judas took Lonnie's hand, pressing the the palm against his chest. Where his starseed, his heart was. "It's yours. I think I've known that for a while now... I just..." Didn't know what to do. What to say.
"You just... made things so easy. I didn't realize it at first. I... I liked, like spending time with you. Like being with you." He reached up, cupping Lonnie's cheek. "I... I want to try. I can't promise I won't ******** up. But... If it's for you, I want to try."

“If it doesn’t work…I think I would still like to be friends with you, and that…isn’t something I have ever offered. But. You were different, and I knew that right away. You were easy to talk to and…I appreciated that.” That’s honestly not what I’m used to when I do a hookup.”
His expression was soft and he held Judas just a little closer, twisting his head so that he could kiss Judas’ hand where it touched him. “Then we will try. And if it doesn’t work, we have made a friend out of it. And…that’s good too. And not what either of us were expecting.” It would work out, no matter what the end result was…and now Lonnie had a whole pack of others in the Negaverse too..
“I’m very excited. To see what the future holds.”

Judas nodded, leaning forward to bury his face in Lonnie's shoulder. "I would like that..." But he would like it even more if this did work. He snorted lightly, curling tighter around Lonnie. "I think you made out like a bandit though. Made three friends just by hooking up with me." Lonnie had already admitted to liking Harker more. Jean was bound to come around.
"I've... had a lot of people tell me I'm not worth it. The time, the effort." The love. "I can be frustrating at times so... I'm sorry in advance." Judas sighed, hugging Lonnie. "I am too." He admitted. "Beyond terrified, but also very excited."

“If it helps, I think that you’re worth it. I’ve thought that since the first time I contacted you after our first meet up. You make me…happy.”
He chuckled and shifted, curling himself around Judas for a moment. “Come on, we’re going to go back to my house. I want to go and patrol a little tonight, but I want us at my place. I think it’ll be better for you. Being home already gets you down, so.” He shrugged. “A change of scene sounds good to me, what do you say?”
Of course, it wasn’t really up for debate but. Still.

"Thank you..." Judas said quietly. "You make happy too. You make me feel... a lot of things." That in of itself was also scary.
Judas nodded, but didn't remove himself from Lonnie. "This place is so empty... It wasn't so bad when I had roommates. Or even just my sister but now.." Now it was just him, and his thoughts. "I've thought about getting a pet or something, so it's not just me..." But perhaps moving might be a better idea. Judas laughed lightly, a sign things were turning for the better. "I don't think I have a choice in the matter. You're going to wisk me out of this closest regardless."

“Oh, absolutely I am. Come on, my Judas. I brought bagels. Let’s go pig out and then get out of here. Today will be better, I’m sure of it.”
Even if he had to make it better. He would.
If Lonnie had his way, he would always make it better.
