When Judas had fallen asleep, Lonnie headed over to Ink and Blood. His expression was cool as he entered the store and when he spotted Harker, he made his way over to the male and cleared his throat. “Judas will not be coming in for a few days. He wanted to call but I thought it would be better if I came to tell you in person. Someone mugged him last night. He said it wasn’t a mugging but he’s hurt pretty badly and extremely shaken up.”
Reaching up, Lonnie began playing with the end of his braid and looked the male in the eyes. “I honestly want to find whoever did it and dismember them, and I thought that you would be in a position and in the mind to assist me. We can get more done together than we can as antagonists.”
He watched Harker and then slowly held out his hand. “I’m not going to leave him alone, and I was the one he called when he came home bleeding, so I think that must mean something. But. Truce?”

Harker looked up at the sound of the door opening, ready to greet the customer upon entering. Though he paused when his gaze fell upon Lonnie again. While he had warned the other, he hadn't expected to see the other so soon. He'd been expecting the news of Judas even less. "Well, looks like you and I can agree on something at least." Harker said quietly. Who'd have thought. "Might we step into the back room? This is probably not something we should talk about... out in the open." You never knew who was listening in. Harker gestured to a door a short distance away. "Jean can watch the floor. Enfys is upstairs, but I can call him down to assist." He closed the book he'd been glancing at, setting on a small cart near by. He paused again, glancing at Lonnie before making for the door. "Alright, I suppose I deserved that jab. But, for now at least, truce."

Lonnie nodded and followed Harker into the back room, feeling his distaste of the male fading just slightly, at least he had some sense to not talk about this on the floor. When they were safely behind a closed door he looked at the male again. “I can see you have questions, I have them too but I will happily answer what I can.”
That was the big issue here. There were too many questions, and Lonnie hated it. Normally problems were fun to solve, amusing, even but…
Not when they harmed someone that he honestly…
Well. Honestly cared about.

Fortunately, Jean had happen to be in the backroom upon opening the door, and after a quick word scampered out the door with little complaint. The door clicked shut behind them and Harker sighed. "Do I even want to bother asking if he actually told you anything, or should I just assume not?" He asked, waving a hand at the couch before dropping into the desk chair himself. "I would assume not, anyway. Judas never really did like giving deals any time I caught him." Then again, if what Lonnie said was true, this was not Judas' typical fight. "I suppose I should start with just how bad in a shape is he? You mentioned he was bleeding?" Harker had seen him after a fight or two but it's never been anything remotely serious. This was different. Harker gestured to a decently sized minifridge not to far from Lonnie. "Help yourself. I think Judas and Jean keep it stocked with mostly redbulls though." He said, making a face.

“No, thank you.” Lonnie shook his head at the offer and let out a breath. “He wasn’t really in much of a state to talk last night. I suppose I should amend that he didn’t mean to call me. But he did and I answered regardless. He looks as though he was kicked in the head and the face. He may have bruised ribs. He’s a mess. But, no. He didn’t tell me what happened. Not that I expected him too, but I swear. If I ever find out who did this.”
Lonnie’s voice had grown cool and he blew out a slow breath.
“I will personally remove their head from their shoulders. Do you know anyone who may have targeted him? Have him targeted? Want to cause him harm?”

"Yeah... That's fairly typical for him. The only reason I ever found out he was in scrapes was because Devlyn use to sell him out. He never could win an argument against the two of us." Harker regarded Lonnie for a moment before carding a hand through his hair. "Still.. Both Judas and I are lucky you did answer... Judas doesn't have many people he can trust with helping in an issue like that. Let alone talking about it." He snorted. "Aside from a couple jaded one night stands? No. No one who would actively go this fair. He's got his fair share of enemies sure, who doesn't? But Judas has always been able to deal with them or give them the slip." And if, by some chance they still lingered after that... Well, Judas had always been good about keeping up on his quota for the Negaverse. "I find myself torn, between sitting back and watching you take the first crack at whoever this was... Or trying to beat you to the punch. Honestly I don't know which is the better option. I guess, we can both agree to say, may the best man win in that regard."

“Look, it doesn’t matter who throws the first punch, just so that if either of us finds the scum who hurt him, we let the other know so that they can get their hand in too.”
It seemed like this was the best way to make sure that they worked together on this issue. “I can’t see a jaded one night stand ever really finding him again. He’s like I am and he doesn’t let it go past the one night, so I can’t see someone being that jaded to cause so much damage. And he didn’t want me to come and tell you, but I figured you’d be as thirsty for this b*****d's blood as I am, and it would be a good idea. He’ll just have to deal with it.”
Lonnie did what he wished. And that was all there was to it.

"Agreed. Though I have a funny feeling this will not be our last meeting about this." He said, turning around to the desk for a moment and scribbling down something on a spare piece of paper. "You, may not want this, and feel free to delete it later but, here is my number." Harker said, passing along the scrap. "Just, for my sanity, please tell me it's you if you text me because I'm absolutely horrid at remembering numbers at first glance."
Harker huffed quietly, twirling the pen between his fingers. "It's not that uncommon. Pretty little thing like him, people tend to think they can keep him like he's some sort of trophy, so they get mad when he disappears." He paused, glancing from the pen to Lonnie. "You say you don't let it go past one night, but look at where you are. Days ago you were arguing with me about him. How many date's has it been Lonnie, seriously? I'm not trying to hurt you, honestly. I'm just saying, I've seen this before. I wanted to give you some warning."
Harker tossed the pen on the desk, watching it skid across the top. "Yeah, he didn't want you to come cause he knows I would have read him the riot act. Which, I will do. After, he's better though. I've known him far to long to have this right striped of me, you will give me this one thing, damn you." Harker laughed lightly, a small smile on his face.
"But I whole heartedly agree, that whoever this was, needs their fair share. For now though, I suggest you go back. If he really is that shaken up, I imagine he's quite skittish right now. If he's at the house alone, it might not end well for you. Let me know if he talks at all, and I will keep tabs on if he says anything here."

Lonnie took the paper and nodded, slipping it into his pocket. He wasn’t sure if he would call Harker…but it would be good to have the information just in case that became something that needed to happen. For now…
For now he’d work on trying to figure out just who did it, and the best way to make sure that they never hurt Judas again.
“Thank you, Harker. I’m sure I’ll be in touch, and I’m sure I’ll see you again soon.” He gave a curt nod and left the room, leaving the bookstore just a moment later.
