Summer was nearly here, the days heating up, and Selinur was not pleased with this. He hated the heat and the sun and it was nothing he wished to deal with, it was uncomfortable and nothing he was good at dealing with, he was simply not made for the heat of summer. It was why he tended to stay home, or at work, during the day yet at night...oh at night he went out. He'd go out as a civilian, much as he disliked looking like a human, or powered because he was comfortable in the cool of the night. There was still a nice coolness to the evenings and the breezes were pleasing to the ancient senshi.
Walking through an alleyway he stepped out onto the side walk, a sway to his walk, as he tilted his head and sniffed at the air. Tonight was nice and it was a full moon nearly, nice and big and round it would be soon, as he stood under the street lamp looking up towards the sky. The view from here was so very different than he'd ever experienced and this planet was like nothing he'd seen before. He'd stayed, in the past, on his own planet and had rarely left. The people here had come a long way in a thousand years and yet they still fought so much amongst themselves, this whole war aside.
Shaking his head he smiled as he lowered his gaze and made for the corner of the street, planning to cross and continue on his way. He was on a simple patrol tonight in order to handle any chaos he ran across. The park was near by and he was headed there, in the hopes of running into something. Selinur really wasn't sure what he thought abotu quite nights, where he ran into nothing, it was both good and bad really. Good because no chaos to fight but bad because it meant they were elsewhere...and he wasn't removing any chaos.

There were plenty of reasons to be out right now, not the least of which was trying to find the Negaverse Agent currently in possession of Stirling’s starseed. The park seemed to be a hot spot for activity, so Alastor had busied himself making his rounds.
It had been unproductive so far.
He kept telling himself that they had time but once again he was starting to feel like time was just an enemy to overcome.
In the absence of any Chaos signatures, an Order aura was more than welcome.
Alastor recognized Selinur almost immediately and something a bit like relief came over him. It had been a while since he’d last seen the Senshi and he was glad that he looked healthy enough.
“Selinur,” he greeted, and offered a brief wave as he approached. “It’s been a while. You look like you’re melting out here, how are you doing?”

Turning towards the signature he'd felt approaching, he liked that his ability to pick up on signatures was improved since becoming super, and tilted his head. "I am melting. This planet is far too hot for my liking." And he was certain it would be a bad idea to start stripping off his clothing so he could cope better. "I'll manage though." He still had a pendant which would help in cooling himself down.
"It has been a while Alastor, I assume your planet is doing well and you are out here looking for any chaos signatures?" He questioned the other, ihoping that the others planet was indeed doing better. Alastor was not likely out looking to make friends tonight, just as he wasn't, there were duties to fulfill and that was what brought Selinur out despite the heat and his utter dislike of it.
"How have you been since we last spoke?" Hoping the other had been well, even if they didn't know each other well. The other was a fellow senshi who had survived living on a dying planet for so long, alone, and understood things in ways others born on this planet could not.

“I’ve been well. Very well, actually. And my world, too, thank you. It’s been a lot of work to get things cleaned up, but I don’t mind. I much prefer it to dealing with Chaos.”
He wasn’t out to sing his world’s praises–not tonight, at least, though he was still proud of his homeworld and its resilience.
“I have to admit, I like the weather like this a bit more than I do when it’s cold, but I can only imagine that this must be unbearable for you. Have you had any luck with your world?”
He wasn’t just being conversational; he had a genuine interest in the well-being of this world and every other. He knew what it was like to watch as your home slowly decayed, slowly rotted, slowly died.
Even now, things were vastly different from how they used to be, but at least Earth kept things busy enough that he didn't get lonely.

"Of course, anything to rid the cosmos of Chaos, one planet at a time if we must. Every bit counts towards dealing with the matter entirely." Though with this planet he didn't know if it would ever be finished, though he could hope. "I would hope the rebuilding hasn't been that difficult." To do it alone would not be easy. Their worlds got to where they had once been because of many people, over many generations, and for one person to rebuild and such...it would not be an easy task.
"This weather is a nightmare to be honest, though my own home is no better at the moment. Something I hope to address soon, though how I'm unclear yet. I'm sure I'll know when my planet wishes to tell me how to fix the issue." As he was certain the chaos there was behind it and he'd need to deal with that matter first. The weather would come soon after. How quickly his planet would cool however he did not know, he wasn't sure a fast drop in tempatures would be good no matter how much he might want it. "It's tied into the chaos on my planet and what transpired." Something he hadn't told anyone about in full, not really, a secret of his because it was a shame of his and his peoples. They'd lost sight of things all for the pursuit of knowledge, of secrets, and it had cost them dearly.
"Everything has become too hot and the snow and ice are long gone. The chaos there is diferent than yours but similar in that it involves climate. Yours with the weather and mine with too warm of a planet." Though illness was the other issue, but that happened because it was so warm and things melted...and things best hidden under the ice was unleashed. It was something they'd never even known was under the ice waiting to strike.
"I've not visited much, I've been busy on this planet." Making allies and helping the fight here. "How was it that you knew what to do to fix things?"

Alastor could not claim to know much about Selinur or his people, but there was something in the way he spoke that made him think that he should appreciate that the other Senshi had chosen to share such information with him.
He nodded as he listened, and managed to stay quiet for long enough to consider the world Selinur described–and how it had been altered by the Chaos. He couldn’t blame Selinur for keeping his distance, not when there was so much turmoil.
“I hope your world gives you guidance, soon. Alastor has been good to me, very much so after purging the Chaos. I think reconstruction is going very well, but there’s always more to be done. To be honest, I think it was a bit of luck, a lot of stubborness, and the help of people who want to rid this universe of Chaos as much as you or I. I’d had an attack once before, but I didn’t know the severity of what I was dealing with back then. If I had, I would have hunted down the Chaos before he grew strong enough to subdue my world. I like to think that things might have been different if I had.”
But then, would his world have still met some untimely end like so many others? Would he have been born on Earth with them, oblivious to Alastor’s history?
Or would his world have thrived, like Earth?
Daydreaming wouldn’t get him anywhere. There wasn’t any way to undo the past. What was done was done, and the most he could make of it was to learn and improve and make sure it never happened again.
“Sometimes, there were breaks in the storm. I could feel the Chaos strongly. It made it easier to know what I was looking for, between that and experiencing it. But beyond that, I suppose it just felt right to ask for help. Having everyone there is what made it possible. I couldn’t have done it alone.”
Even if it pained him to admit it, he was sincere, and he was grateful. He was used to doing things on his own, but he needed help.
“I don’t know that my experience could help you, but if you’re ever headed back to Selinur and want a second eye on things, I’d be happy to help. I promise I won’t snoop around or anything, I know your privacy is important.”

"I can hope that I'll have the same help when I need it. Despite how disorganized this planets senshi, and knights, are there are enough who will work together to deal with chaos when need be." Despite not working together otherwise. It had some promise to it but he really did wish they'd unify better, especially to handle the Negaverse. There was no other way, in his opinion, to deal with them once and for all.
"A break in the storm, you are lucky then. I haven't had such luck in sensing the chaos though I know it is there; I've no doubt about that. Had I sensed it fro mthe start, before everything transpired, I would have removed it myself before things got to where they are now." Now he was honestly worried about bringing people to his planet, not knowing about the illness which had struck down his people. Would it infect someone visiting and come down to Earth with them? It was an honest worry of his.
"I might need someone elses help at some point. I simply worry about infecting anyone else with what is on my planet." And that was why he was worried about when he went to handle chaos and brought more people, even if he knew he'd need it, what if someone did get sick and bring it back to Earth? What if it spread and caused problems here too...just like it had on his own planet? "You are correct about privacy being important. But I will, if you don't mind the risk involved, consider bringing you soon. So far I've had no issues but there is still, as far as I'm concerned, a risk." Kyuseisha no Hikari (I'm still trying to figure it all out, lol.)

‘Lucky’ wasn’t truly accurate; Alastor had been actively fighting it for most of his life. He wouldn’t take all the credit, and he might downplay his own involvement, but what use was there in bragging? Why should he be proud when his world had suffered for so long, and for so greatly, already?
He smiled politely, anyway.
But he understood how deeply the will to have done something before it got so bad was. He wished he’d known what to do a good few hundred years ago. He wished he’d finished the job then before it spread.
He didn’t know. He couldn’t beat himself up about it. He had learned, and he needed to move on. He needed to help where he could, and hope that one day the guilt–heavy and bitter in his heart–would fade.
“I’m pretty durable,” he mused. “I haven’t been ‘infected’ with anything in a while. I’ve got a good immune system. If it’s any consolation. But that’s a fair fear. The Chaos on your world…”
He was quite for a few seconds as he mulled over what he wanted to ask, but in the end he just glanced back at Selinur. “What is it, what does it do? How does it infect you? Maybe there’s some way to develop a protection against it. I know a very clever Mauvian, he might be able to help.”

"Perhaps then I'd be willing to risk it." If they were claiming a good immune system. "If you get sick though I don't know if they can do anything here. We never found a cure, not before it took everyone." And he couldn't finish that work, not on his own, he didn't know a thing about medicine. He had no one to teach him either, they'd all gotten sick and died before they could teach him. They had only figured out what it was, and how it had returned, before it had hit the population with a devistating blow. He supposed part of it was because they all lived so close together, in a communal manner, that it had ripped through the population like it was nothing. POeople who seemed ok in the morning were dead by the next in some cases.
"The warming awoke an illness from the perma frost. We didn't stand a chance." It was the most he'd said about it to most people. But if the other was offering to visit his homeworld he should at least tell him more, give him more information. "We didn't get further than knowing what it was and how it came to be before it tore through the population. We could treat symptoms but it did little." It moved too fast and struck them down far too quickly. Some hung on and lingered but had that really been a good thing? They'd fought but they'd suffered before dying anyway.
"It was an old illness, ancient for us, locked down deep in the ice in bodies long since dead. When the ice melted it came back to life and infected my people. We had history of it but it was so old it took too long to find information on it." Because they had so much information to pour over, even on illnesses they had a lot of information. They had information on illnesses from all over the cosmos, incase anything arrived on their planet from elsewhere, it had slowed their search for this illness. It had cost them time and lives, though he suspected they would have all died anyway.

A small frown settled on Alastor’s expression.
He understood all too well the circumstances that Selinur described. In his youth, maybe he’d have been a bit more foolhardy.
These days, he knew how dangerous that was.
The Blackrot on his world was a stroke of luck. They’d been able to find a cure for it.
It had almost been too late.
He’d encountered worst things than that, though. Things that still had no cure, as far as he knew.
He planted his hands on his hips again and shifted positions as he contemplated.
“Well, I’m sure there’s something that can be done. With all of the resources on Earth, there has to be someone who can help. I rely a lot on the Mauvians, but there are other Senshi like you and I, with age and experience on our side. If you’re worried, we can take whatever precautions we need to. Maybe there’s a way to guard against it, even if a cure is still out of reach. If it’s as old as you say, maybe others have experienced something like it elsewhere. If you’d be comfortable, if you’d be interested, I know a Mauvian who would probably be very interested in helping. I could give you his contact information?”

"Yes, I have met a few who are like ourselves." He would, without a doubt, call on them. They hadn't been as involved in this war, on this planet, but they had experience and knowledge which came from age. He would call on his own ancient senshi for help, they were similar to himself in that way. They remembered the old times...times before the fall of the Moon Kingdom and long before Earth had come to this.
"That is what I can hope for perhaps, that one of our own has experienced this as well." He had considered that but it meant he had to explain his planets circumstances and what had happened, he would need to divulge secrets. It had hard opening up but he'd been working on it; he needed to. "I'd like that. I'll reach out to the Mauvian." he liked them, they were useful, it was a shame they didn't remember the ancient past as well.
"If you feel comfortable in taking the risk I can arrange to bring you as well." He could bring the other as well as a Mauvian perhaps. One more step he needed to take in helping his planet. It hurt more, to his pride, to let other ancients know what had happened to his planet, it was easier to talk to the new senshi about these things. They didn't know his reputation or his planets reputation and the whispers about his home. It didn't hurt as much. But he'd do what he needed to...he had to.

“I’m a responsible risk taker,” Alastor assured, because for all the years that he’d only had himself to worry about, he had a family now, and he wasn’t going to put them through anything extra just because he was acting before thinking. He had a high tolerance for most poison–native to Alastor, at least, and considered himself particularly hardy.
But, he’d let Soleiyu make that call.
“His name is Soleiyu. Here.” He pulled out a white business card with an iridescent cat paw stamped into it. It had no name, only a phone number. “It’s his normal cell phone. I’ll let him know to expect a message from you, you two can schedule something. If you give him the details, I’m certain he can come up with something to help.”

"Reasonable risk taker, interesting choice there." Nodding his head to the words. It made sense but it was also rather amusing. Risk taking but to do it in a resonable manner seemed like two things which did not work together, and for most he figured they wouldn't.
Taking the card he sent it off to subspace. "I'll call them tonight, once we part ways." And he would. If he was going to bring someone he might as well make sure things were safe. Also a Mauvian who might be able to help, in some way, wouldn't be a bad idea really.
"I'll set something up with him and I'll let you know as well. Just know the risk...the virus wiped out my planet. It was fast, too fast for us to figure out a cure for. We found out what it was but that was all we found." It was a risk, he knew it, and he wanted the other to know that it could be a risk to the other as well. He was certain he'd be safe on his planet, he'd lived there how long, but perhaps it had burnt itself out as well? Viruses here on Earth he knew lived only a certain amount of time on surfaces before dying. Maybe it had died out and they'd be safe. It was possible and he hoped it was the case.

Alastor nodded but he didn’t seem too terrified by the prospect. Michael would worry, of course, and Atticus, so even if he thought himself more durable, he’d wait for Soleiyu’s verdict. “Alastor has its fair share of plagues and poisons and I’ve survived them all.”
He was confident, but he’d promised to be careful, too.
“You’ve got more time to figure things out, now. But I shouldn’t keep you for long if you’re planning on reaching out to Soleiyu, I want you to have a chance to talk to him before it gets too late. But we’ll talk again soon, all right? Keep in contact. I’ve got hope for your world, and if you want to save it, I’ll do all that I can.”

"If you've been through such things than perhaps I needn't worry." As he would with most other people. What people on this planet had survived a plague? These children, as they were in fact children to him, had no seen the devistation of a plague nor survived one themselves and had to pick up the pieces. They were innocent still, even most of these senshi, kngihts and even officers of the Negaverse. They were innocent in ways he wished he could be.
"Thank you, I'll keep in touch and I'll reach out to them. I'll be on my way so I can do that." Nodding his head once the ancient senshi gave something of a smile to the other. "I'll certainly call for your help when I go to save my world, as you did with yours." Because he wasn't about to give up on it, it hadn't given up on him, he'd need the help when the time came.
"Keep well tonight." Becuase there were always dangers out there, this city was not safe, and he needed the other alive. Every senshi, and knight, counted right now in this fight. Turning slowly he headed off into the darkness, he'd put out a call to Soleiyu soon.
